Alan Colmes ran to the defense of the Obama administration on the 29 January 2015 edition of Fox Business Network's Imus in the Morning over their deliberate avoidance of using the term "radical Islam." Producer Bernard McGuirk took a shot at the White House, asserting that "we should say 'Islamic extremism,' because by not saying it is not going to appease anybody." Colmes repeatedly underlined, "It's not Islam," and claimed that the administration's strategy "makes it less dangerous, because you're not going after an entire religion."

On FNC’s Hannity, the host played an MSNBC montage of global warming alarmism that featured Bill Nye, Ed Schultz and a guest from Al Sharpton’s show all exploiting the snow storm that hit the northeast this week.

After all three network evening newscasts ignored President Obama dropping his controversial plan to tax 529 college savings accounts on Tuesday, only Wednesday's CBS This Morning noticed the development, giving it a mere seventeen seconds. Neither NBC's Today nor ABC's Good Morning America covered the White House reversal.
