On the September 9, 2014 Charlie Rose show Bill Maher pronounced that Barack Obama “will be treated in history very kindly” because future generations will realize “he’s dealing obviously with things that no other president had to ever deal with.” 

When Rose asked Maher if he meant the bad economy and ISIS Maher agreed and then added that because Obama is black his political opponents “hate him in a way they never hated before.”

Yet, Germany and Britain have announced that they won't take part in the President's planned air strikes. In 2003, ABC, NBC and CBS hit George W. Bush for "going it alone" with a coalition of 18 countries.

In the midst of his September 10 sit-down chat with MSNBC's Chris Matthews, comedian Bill Maher blasted Republicans for hyping the threat of ISIS, which he insists is not that big a deal for Americans on American soil. Maher also took Joe Biden to task for thundering that we would chase ISIS to "the gates of Hell."
