Matt Vespa is a News Analysis Division intern at the Media Research Center. Prior to that, he was the Executive Director for the Dauphin County Republican Committee in Harrisburg. He has interned with various political organziations, including the Pennsylvania Republican Party last summer where he participated in a massive five day GOTV effort for Republican Bob Turner in the NY-9 special election. During that time, Matt, along with several members of the PAGOP grassroot team, knocked on over 10,000 doors which helped push Bob Turner, the first Republican representing the NY-9 since 1923, over the top in Anthony Weiner's former congressional district.
In 2010, he interned with Mary Pat Christie, within the Office of the Governor of NJ, in Trenton and was responsible for updating Governor Christie's personal contact list. He also assisted in setting up town hall events for Governor Chrisite's Cap 2.0 Property Tax Reform initiative and Mary Pat Christie's literacy program. Matt got his start in politcs interning with Tom Kean Jr.'s Senate race in 2006.
In addition to being a Media Research Center News Analysis Division intern, Matt is a blogger/contributor at Misfit Politics, The Young Cons, Right Wing News, The Lid, and PJ Media.
