“Grumpy in Arizona” is the founder, CEO, and “staff” of: “The Grumpy Institute for Advanced Studies (GIAS)” The GIAS was formed on a Wednesday during a “Happy Hour” discussion of the need for the accurate reporting of real facts from the purely imaginary and self-absorbed musings of the founder (aka: Grumpy in Arizona). The GIAS Mission Statement: “The mission of the GIAS is to come-up with a good mission statement that will inspire the U.S. government to give us (me) a bunch of free money (grants) to study grumpiness - for the benefit of humanity.” The goals of the GIAS are: 1. To prevent the “Whaling Industry” from gaining a foothold in the Lake of the Ozarks. 2. To serve mankind by denouncing the use of “Musical Weapons of Mass Destruction”… such as the saxophone. 3. To conduct and facilitate “Grumpiness” workshops wherever needed – especially in warm climates with liberal offshore banking regulations. 4. To avoid litigation - For the benefit of humanity. ,
