On the Precipice
Like the Tories in the eighteenth century, the southern aristocrats in the mid-nineteenth century and the isolationists in the mid twentieth century, the so-called progressives of our century are on the wrong side of history.
They will lose and be forgotten except as the general provocateur in our time in history—the losers—the ill-conceived enemies of a blessed people who awoke from their slumber and joined the fight to return a recognizable Americato liberty and posterity.
Now, November 2, 2010, is the date when our history began to change and the American people started winning the most recent revolution. For the United States, the most significant renaissance since the industrial revolution began on this date. It will be known as the date when liberty once more took root as a vital and powerful word in our lexicon. The debate is over. Libertywins.
The long work of restoring the Constitution to its rightful place as the foundation of law in our country has begun. Whereas past administrations and political parties co-opted the document, along the way poured their agents into our institutions as pipers of a “new” way, and devised a judiciary that fed their distortions for popular expediency, the tide of confusion began to be reeled back on this day. God bless the Republic. God bless our Nation.
This is the time when it happened and we are living witnesses to the change. We are as individuals only part of the mind numbing numbers that make history. Most of us will be remembered as the movement—the broad-based citizen movement of individuals that rested control away from the destroyers of liberty. We are the people who began the work of restoration and we’re to be proud of that. It hasn’t been easy and promises to be most difficult yet—in the months ahead, the years ahead, against so much progressive thought that has taken root to grow over decades of neglect watered by expediency in innocent naiveté with the misplaced faith that other parties were dealing honestly. They were not and we know it now.
I for one will no longer give the progressives credit for acting with good intentions. I don’t believe that anymore.
I for one will fight for liberty every day I have left on earth.
I for one will never back down, never concede an inch, nor shall I yield a single mushy or confused point for any convenience, or compromise liberty because of their definition of good will.
I know they lie, distort, and present their case in devious ways to dupe the easily led. I know that they pick our pockets and enslave us with regulations.
We must crush them November 2.
