Melanie Morgan

Rush Limbaugh, Brent Bozell On 'From the Front Lines' Webcast

By NB Staff | June 26, 2008 | 16:20

There are over 180,000 U.S. troops serving bravely in Iraq and Afghanistan and each of them are owed a great deal of gratitude for their service and sacrifice. In a first of its kind Web-A-Thon to raise funds to send the largest shipment of care packages in history to our troops abroad, Move America Forward will Web-cast "From the Front Lines" via streaming video at www.ustream.tv on Thursday, June 26 from 4 p.m. to midnight EDT (3 PM to 11 p.m. CDT, 1 PM to 9 p.m. PDT).

The Media Research Center is sponsoring the 5 to 6 p.m. EDT hour and MRC Founder and President Brent Bozell will be interviewed at the top of the hour, around 5:05 p.m.

Radio host Rush Limbaugh should briefly join the live Web cast around 4:20p.m. EDT and other conservative luminaries like Ann Coulter, Mark Levin, and Sean Hannity are also scheduled to participate in the Web cast.

You can find the Web cast here on Ustream.tv or embedded on this post below the page break.

Move America Forward’s Melanie Morgan Depicted as Evil Warmonger

By Noel Sheppard | October 20, 2007 | 15:39

As reported by NewsBuster Richard Newcomb, an interesting clash between the anti-war group Code Pink and the pro-military Move America Forward occurred at a United States Marines recruitment center in Berkeley, California, on Wednesday.

Although one of the local newspapers did a fairly balanced report of the confrontation - including quite surprisingly beginning the piece "Flag-waving demonstrators far outnumbered a group of peace advocates" - the Bay Area's CBS-TV affiliate, KPIX, painted quite disparate pictures of the leaders of the organizations involved.

In particular, MAF's Melanie Morgan was depicted as an evil, intransigent warmonger after she was asked the following (video available here):

NBC's Todd Clips Anderson Cooper: 'Maybe He Wasn't Following the Campaign'

By Mark Finkelstein | July 24, 2007 | 07:09

Is MSNBC becoming Catfight Central? A few days ago I noted this epic dust-up on the cable network between conservative radio talk show host Melanie Morgan and feminist Naomi Wolf. Today's "Morning Joe" brought more fireworks of a feline variety, as NBC News Political Director Chuck Todd took some serious swipes at Anderson Cooper and his hosting of last night's CNN/YouTube presidential debate.

NBC NEWS POLITICAL DIRECTOR CHUCK TODD: I thought the questions were good, it was a good candidate forum. The downside was that the moderator [Anderson Cooper] missed opportunities to create a debate. That was my one frustration. Obama tried to take a shot at Hillary about being a Johnny-come-lately when it comes to withdrawal from Iraq, and it just disappeared, the attack disappeared. Obama's way of attacking Clinton sometimes is soft; he softpedals his attacks. Maybe Cooper didn't see it; maybe he needs to be hit with a sledgehammer, but he just immediately went to the next question.

Hmm, what would a Freudian say about Chuck imagining Cooper being hit with a sledgehammer?
