Lawrence O'Donnell Cherry Picks Limbaugh to Claim Rush Agrees With Media on Romney 'Very Poor' Comment

By Noel Sheppard | February 02, 2012 | 00:33

Not surprisingly, the Obama-loving media are having a field day with Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney's comment to CNN's Soledad O'Brien regarding not being "concerned about the very poor."

MSNBC's Lawrence O'Donnell Wednesday decided to make an even bigger deal out of this issue by cherry-picking Rush Limbaugh to make it appear the conservative radio host shared the press's view (video follows with transcript and commentary):

ABC on Romney (Not at Bain Since 1999): He 'Sent Millions to the Mormon Church' From Recent Bain Deals

By Tom Blumer | January 18, 2012 | 23:58

In 1998, we learned that Al and Tipper Gore made $353 in deductible charitable contributions against income of $198,000 the previous year. In the decade from 1998-2007, Joe and Jill Biden averaged $369 per year in such reported contributions. Bill and Hillary Clinton were infamous for taking charitable contributions for used underwear.

The aforementioned facts are generally not known by people who don't closely follow the news, because not much was made of them. But from the point of view of ABC News, particularly the hatchet men disguised as investigative reporters Matthew Mosk and Brian Ross, Mitt and Ann Romney have a much bigger problem than the Gores, Bidens, and Clintons: They, and particularly Mitt through Bain Capital (dubious, as we'll see), have given too much money to a particular charity. Because the reporters apparently want readers and viewers to see this as something underhanded, they describe charity as "sending" instead of "giving":

Washington Post Veteran Disparages Limbaugh, Hannity and Levin as ‘Right-Wing Nutjobs’ with ‘Wacky Conspiracy Theories’

By Brent Baker | January 13, 2012 | 12:15

Another bit of evidence emerged Thursday about how deeply ingrained anti-conservative hatred is inside America’s newspapers, even amongst those who don’t cover politics.

John Kelly, a Washington Post lifestyle columnist inside the “Metro” section best-known for raising money for Children’s National Medical Center and Sunday “Answer Man” columns about DC-area history, used the passing of a local radio legend to disparage syndicated radio hosts as “right-wing nutjobs unspooling their wacky conspiracy theories.” (Hat tip: DCRTV)

Rush Limbaugh: Gingrich Only In Race Now To Target Romney

By Noel Sheppard | January 10, 2012 | 15:39

Conservative talk radio host Rush Limbaugh said Tuesday that Newt Gingrich is no longer campaigning for the presidency.

Instead, Limbaugh believes the former Speaker of the House is now just attacking Mitt Romney as payback for all the negative ads placed against him in Iowa (video follows with transcript):

By Noel Sheppard | December 13, 2011 | 18:51

Television's Norman Lear, in a speech celebrating the 30th anniversary of his far-left organization People for the American Way, called James Dobson, Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, and Karl Rove hate-mongers.

In his December 5 address published at the Huffington Post Tuesday, he also accused the Republican candidates for president of having a "holier-than-thou sanctity" (video follows with transcript and commentary):

Daily Kos Week in Review: The Stupid Shock-Jock Party

By Tom Johnson | December 11, 2011 | 20:30

Four years ago, Democrats had just begun what would become several months of fierce infighting to determine their 2008 nominee. Barack! Hillary! Fairy tales! 3 a.m. phone calls! PUMAs! These days, with President Obama getting what amounts to a first-round bye, the left, including the Daily Kos gang, is free to train its fire on Republicans and their presidential candidates.

As usual, each headline is preceded by the blogger's name or pseudonym.

NOW President Attacks Rush Limbaugh in Response to Bachmann-Fallon Issue

By Noel Sheppard | November 26, 2011 | 23:10

It appears the folks at the National Organization for Women can't defend a conservative woman without attacking Rush Limbaugh.

As Big Hollywood reported Thursday evening, NOW President Terry O'Neill finally responded to the offensive song Jimmy Fallon's band played as Congresswoman Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) walked onto the set of NBC's Late Night Monday:

ABC Elevates Left-Wing Hit, Charges ‘Limbaugh Hurls Racially-Charged Words at the First Lady’

By Brent Baker | November 22, 2011 | 09:27

Picking up on a blog post by a far-left group devoted to silencing Rush Limbaugh, ABC’s World News on Monday night dedicated an entire story to one word used by the conservative radio host, a comment the other networks failed to find newsworthy. “Loaded words,” fill-in anchor Georgre Stephanopoulos ominously teased, “the First Lady booed at a NASCAR event. Now Rush Limbaugh weighs in, hurling a racially-charged word at Michelle Obama.”

Soon, a “word” became “words” when Stephanopoulos later plugged the upcoming hit: “Still ahead on World News, Michelle Obama booed at a NASCAR event and now Rush Limbaugh hurls racially-charged words at the First Lady.” (updated with video below)

ABC, CBS, CNN, and NBC Bring On Cain Accuser; CNN Targets Limbaugh

By Matthew Balan | November 08, 2011 | 14:31

The same networks that ignored sexual allegations against Democrats for months all leaped on Tuesday to interview Sharon Bialek and her liberal advocate Gloria Allred on the morning after she came forward. Between them, ABC, CBS, CNN, and NBC devoted over 21 minutes to Bialek, who accused GOP presidential candidate Herman Cain of groping her over a decade ago. CNN had Bialek on for eight and a half minutes, and played up how Rush Limbaugh apparently said "not so nice things" about her [audio clips available here; video below the jump].

CBS's The Early Show gave the softest interview, failing to mention the accuser's past bankruptcies or Allred's liberal political leanings, something the other three at least mentioned. Anchor Jeff Glor asked Bialek if she would still vote for Cain if he became the GOP presidential nominee, only after her attorney, Gloria Allred, mentioned that her client was a registered Republican. None of the interviewers raised why Bialek had been fired by the National Restaurant Association before her meeting with Cain (correspondent Jan Crawford noted the firing in a setup piece on CBS).

By Jack Coleman | November 07, 2011 | 21:33

These things take time, especially when it comes to a politician initially touted as walking on water.

By Noel Sheppard | November 06, 2011 | 19:33

Scarborough: 'Rush Limbaugh Would Be Making Fun of Herman Cain' If Another Viable Conservative Were in the Race

By Noel Sheppard | November 01, 2011 | 09:45

For the second day in a row, the lone so-called conservative anchor on MSNBC supported Politico's hit piece on Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain.

After saying Cain "made a fool of himself" with his inconsistent response to the allegations Monday, Scarborough said that if there were another viable conservative candidate in the race, "Rush Limbaugh would be making fun of Herman Cain today" (video follows with transcript and commentary):

By Noel Sheppard | October 28, 2011 | 10:45

Taking a page from Donny Deutsch, Rush Limbaugh on Wednesday said the media are "hoping some sort of Kent State-type massacre is gonna take place" at an Occupy protest rally.

Bashir on Cain's Calm Style: Republicans 'Do Not Want to Hear From a Black Man Who’s Aggressive, Assertive, Angry'

By Noel Sheppard | October 07, 2011 | 16:59

Herman Cain is now leading the polls for the Republican presidential nomination, and the folks at MSNBC are clearly scared to death.

Following in Lawrence O'Donnell's footsteps who spent 23 minutes antagonistically grilling Cain Thursday, Martin Bashir said of the black Republican's "calm, measured" style Friday, "The people that he needs to win over in order to win a primary, those people do not want to hear from a black man who’s aggressive, assertive, angry" (video follows with transcript and commentary):

Apparent Closet Racist Rachel Maddow Describes Obama as 'Boy King'

By Jack Coleman | September 09, 2011 | 17:17

Those crickets you hear? Her fellow left-wingers responding to Rachel Maddow referring to then-President Elect Obama as a "boy king" on her MSNBC show last night.

Yes, hard to believe. Even in an era when the president of the United States is a man of color, as is our attorney general, as is the governor of Massachusetts where Maddow lives, Obama must be subjected to such vile disrespect -- a black man at the pinnacle of achievement described as a mere "boy," albeit of the monarchical variety. Randi Rhodes: That Racist, Rush Limbaugh, Looks Like a Serial Killer

By Tim Graham | September 03, 2011 | 05:25

On Thursday's edition of the Randi Rhodes radio show, the liberal hate was flowing. Rhodes suggested Rush Limbaugh was a racist for being offended by Obama's transparent scheduling-over-the-debate ploy, and she suggested he facially resembled the serial child-molester/murderer John Wayne Gacy.

She also agreed with Rep. Maxine Waters that the Tea Party should go to Hell -- and will, in the long run, since they are obstructing disaster aid for spending offsets: "I don't think Jesus said 'Let people drown'!"

By Noel Sheppard | September 01, 2011 | 17:26

As NewsBusters reported moments ago, MSNBC's Richard Wolffe said Wednesday that House Speaker John Boehner's (R-Oh.) request for Barack Obama to reschedule next week's jobs address might have been due to the color of the President's skin.

On his radio program Thursday, conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh responded by saying, "If they ever do a colonoscopy on Obama, they're gonna find Richard Wolffe's head there" (video follows with transcript and commentary):

MSNBCer Suggests GOP Rejected Obama's Request for Speech Because of 'Color of His Skin'

By Geoffrey Dickens | September 01, 2011 | 16:39

MSNBC's Richard Wolffe went there. The political analyst for the Lean Forward network actually played the race card in his analysis of why the Republican Speaker of the House John Boehner did not accept Barack Obama's big foot move to deliver a speech to Congress on the same night as a GOP presidential debate, as he pondered: "it could be, let's face it, the color of his skin."

Appearing on Wednesday's edition of The Last Word with Lawrence O'Donnell, Wolffe made the following accusation of racism:

AP's Kuhnhenn: Obama 'Hamstrung' by 'Limited Tools' to Improve Economy and Increase Employment

By Tom Blumer | August 30, 2011 | 22:59

Poor President Obama. There's only so much he can do to lift the economy. He's tried so much already, yet somehow it just hasn't worked. Now his options are limited by those darned Republican demands for "fiscal austerity" and a "tight debt ceiling" (of "only" $2.4 trillion) which was only raised by enough to get him through his reelection effort (in 14-1/2 months).

This is the utter garbage in a Tuesday morning report ("Obama faces tight restraints in crafting jobs plan") the Associated Press's Jim Kuhnhenn expects his wire service's readers, listeners, and viewers to swallow, and its subscribing media outlets to non-skeptically publish and broadcast.

Rush Limbaugh: 'Next Time Obama Has a Colonoscopy...Which NBC Personality Will Show Up First?'

By Noel Sheppard | August 16, 2011 | 09:41

The Obama-lovin' at NBC News is becoming a thing of legend.

On Monday, conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh, during a discussion with a caller about David Gregory's grilling of Congresswoman Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) on "Meet the Press" said, "Next time Obama has a colonoscopy, I wonder who they'll find in there. Which NBC personality will show up first?" (video follows with transcript and absolutely no need for additional commentary):

Newsweek's Queen of Sleaze: Tina Brown's History of Slamming Conservative Women

By Geoffrey Dickens | August 12, 2011 | 14:10

Tina Brown got in hot water this week for an unflattering Newsweek cover photo of Tea Party Republican Michele Bachmann but those who've followed the current Daily Beast and Newsweek editor's career, ever since she brought her version of tabloid journalism over from England to Vanity Fair in 1984, can tell you this is just par for the course.

In fact that wasn't the first time the former editor of The New Yorker displayed her disgust for women of the right. After a run of victories by female candidates in the 2010 GOP primaries, Brown on the June 10 edition of ABC's Good Morning America, called the wins: "a blow to feminism." However when it comes to liberal women like Michelle Obama, Brown sings a decidedly different tune. Videos after the jump.

Matthews' Shameless Smear: Rush Wants to End Integration of Schools and Military

By Mark Finkelstein | August 10, 2011 | 19:02

It's going to be a long, hot campaign . . . Yesterday, Politico reported that the Obama strategy is to "destroy" or "kill" his perceived chief 2012 rival, Mitt Romney.  The Obamaoids are no doubt counting on close collaboration with their friends in the MSM.

Today we were treated to the kind of shameless smear that the left surely has in store.  On his MSNBC show this evening, Chris Matthews flatly stated that Rush Limbaugh . . . wants to end the integration of the public schools and armed forces. View video after the jump.

Sherri Shepherd Mistakenly Attributes 'Magic Negro' to Rush Limbaugh

By Eric Ames | August 03, 2011 | 14:04

During a discussion of Rep. Doug Lamborn's use of the term "tar baby," The View's Sherri Shepherd misrepresented conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh by accusing him of racism for use of the phrase "Barack the Magic Negro." "You're calling President Obama, Rush Limbaugh - Barack Obama, the magic negro. Schultz: Boehner Is a Lazy, Short-Fused Liar Who's 'More Comfortable On a Bar Stool'

By Noel Sheppard | July 26, 2011 | 23:45

You can tell conservatives are winning the debt ceiling battle by how rabid the commentators on MSNBC are getting.

On Tuesday's "Ed Show," the host told his audience that House Speaker John Boehner (R-Oh.) "lied about President Obama," "ain't real deep," has a "short fuse," is "lazy," and is "a heck of a lot more comfortable on a bar stool" (video follows with transcript and commentary):
