Sting and Soros Hook Up For A Duet Of Pro-drug Stupidity

By Kurt Schlichter | June 10, 2010 | 13:28

Editor's Note: The following was originally posted at Andrew Breitbart's Big Hollywood.

Seeing that George Soros and Sting are working together to “end the drug war” puts me in mind of a story an Army buddy who works in the DEA told me about busting in the door of a drug house only to find three occupants – the oldest four years old, having been left in charge while his “parents” went out to score meth.  Yeah, drug use is a victimless crime – if you ignore the victims.

Apparently not content to subsidize the whining of the nonentities at Media Matters, Soros is taking a break from his adventures in currency manipulation and general scuzziness to enlist entertainment celebrities like Sting in his newest quest.  The Drug Policy Alliance is the result, a group whose members, as its founder puts it, “come from across the drug use spectrum.”  Yes, the junkies, stoners, hopheads, dope fiends, pill-poppers, and Lindsay Lohan are unanimous:  Drug laws are bad, and it’s probably BusHitler’s fault.

Sting Calls Earth Day Climate Rally 'Green Tea Party', Wants 'Big Government'

By Noel Sheppard | April 26, 2010 | 11:11

America's media might hate the Tea Party movement, but Sting appears to love it.

"This is like a 'Green Tea Party' out there," Sting told CNN's Don Lemon Sunday about the Earth Day climate rally taking place in the nation's capital.

"People who care. People who care about clean water and fresh air for their children to breathe. Food that doesn't kill you. A better planet. A safer planet. And it is a tea party movement."

Of course, Lemon didn't ask Sting or his wife Trudie Styler if they believe folks that don't support this movement actually want dirty water, polluted air, and food that kills them, nor did he question the couple about their own astoundingly LARGE carbon footprint that makes them green hypocrites.

He also didn't point out the absurdity of referring to this rally as a "tea party movement" while in the same breath calling for "big government" to solve the world's problems (video follows with partial transcript and commentary, h/t Weasel Zippers):

Sting: Obama Was 'Sent From God', Critics 'Violent and Full of Fear'

By Lachlan Markay | October 30, 2009 | 13:58

Many Hollywood leftists consider President Obama a figurative godsend. Some, including Sting, think he was literally sent from God. The former Police front-man told the Associated Press that he believes that Obama is a gift from Heaven, delivered to shepherd the befuddled masses to providence (h/t Ace).

"In many ways, he's sent from God," Sting said in an interview with the AP. He heaped praise upon the President for his ability to lead the country though the "mess" in which we find ourselves. He met Obama recently and "found him to be very genuine, very present, clearly super-smart, and exactly what we need in the world."

"I can't think of any be better qualified because of his background, his education, particularly in regard to Islam," he added. Sting then went on to bash the President's critics as deranged, ignorant, and "medieval".

Sting Jokes to AP Obama 'Sent from God,' But Goes Serious on His Opponents Being 'Violent, Full of Fear'

By Tim Graham | October 30, 2009 | 11:42

Here’s more proof Barack Obama has locked up the Secular Celebrity Left: AP music writer Nekesa Mumbi Moody writes:

Sting isn't a religious man, but he says President Barack Obama might be a divine answer to the world's problems.

"In many ways, he's sent from God," he joked in an interview, "because the world's a mess."

But Sting is serious in his belief that Obama is the best leader to navigate the world's problems. In an interview on Wednesday, the former Police frontman said that he spent some time with Obama and "found him to be very genuine, very present, clearly super-smart, and exactly what we need in the world."

"I can't think of any be better qualified because of his background, his education, particularly in regard to Islam," he said.

Sting told AP he was fascinated by American politics, and also by Obama’s opponents on the right. (Oh, so Sting listens to Limbaugh?)

'Environmentalist' Sting Flies Solo From England to Germany

By Noel Sheppard | June 30, 2008 | 20:07

According to Him -- meaning the amazingly pompous and holier-than-thou rockstar Sting -- the world is coming to an end if we don't stop global warming.

Yet, the self-described "environmentalist" bassplayer for the rock band the Police continues to symbolize the hypocrisy of wealthy liberal elites that tell us we have to make sacrifices for the good of the planet...as long as they don't have to!

In the most recent incident, the man who in 2005 arrogantly stated, "I think we need to convince Mr. Bush that global warming is in fact a reality" flew from England to Germany, in a private jet with a seating capacity of fourteen, BY HIMSELF!

I guess his concerts and convenience are FAR MORE important than the planet...as reported by the Daily Mail Monday evening (emphasis added, h/t NBer mastersofdeceit):

Sting's Tree Saving Charity Keeps Most of the Donations

By Noel Sheppard | May 05, 2008 | 13:18

In last week's installment of "Sting's Eco-hypocrisy," we learned that the frontman for the rock band the Police, though supposedly an environmentalist, has a bigger carbon footprint than most third world nations.

In Sunday's episode, we found out that Sting's charity, the Rainforest Foundation, gives only 41 percent of the money raised to the programs it supports, and, as a result, "is rated one of New York City's worst charities, according to Charity Navigator."

Honestly, you can't make this stuff up!

Sting's Wife Admits They're Hypocrites About Global Warming

By Noel Sheppard | April 26, 2008 | 13:33

The hypocrisy surrounding the global warming positions of actors and rock stars is certainly not news, except when one of them actually admits it.

With that in mind, when the wife of the environmentally outspoken leader of the Police discusses the huge carbon footprint she and her husband have, sycophantic green media should pay attention and recognize that virtually all such wealthy alarmists are advocating policies for the masses that they themselves will NEVER adhere to.

As deliciously reported Friday by England's Daily Mail (emphasis added throughout, h/t NBer MastersofDeceit, picture courtesy Daily Mail):
