Sue Myerscough Rules : NO Right To Bear Arms Outside Home

By Ashrak | February 06, 2012 | 21:47

Yes, you read that correctly. Justice Sue Myerscough ruled that there does not exist a right to carry a firearm outside the home.

That can only mean, then, that homeless people have no right to bear arms. None whatsoever.  They have no home, right? 1+1=2

I suppose that can only mean that a homeless person has no right to speak, or pray, or assemble or publish writings either. After all the Supreme Court said flatly and directly that "The Second Amendment is no different." in a crystal clear context of the First Amendment.  Again - 1+1=2

I thought it long ago established that owning rights did not hinge upon property ownership. But then, The Second Amendment is clear all by itself.  With this "decision", everyone in the country ought to be very worried. A federal court judge has just declared that regardless of the Second Amendment,  regardless of Heller, regardless of McDonald, a court can simply say "No, you cannot exercise the right to bear arms outside your home - and there ain't jack squat you can do about it!" Or as Potsi would have said "Sit On It!".

Barack Obama should be asked, directly, how it can be that a judge he appointed can rule that a total prohibition of bearing arms can possibly pass Constitutional muster. The supreme Court itself ruled on that point already.  Entire classes of weapon bans doesn't stand and neither does prohibition posing as regulation.  Here we have the total destruction of a right and its exercise.....and NO REMEDY whatsoever.  Another Illinois court already said that nobody can sue for money damages - so Title 42 Section 1983 protections has been dispensed with already as well.

All you journalists out there, how about your freedom of the press being limited to only "within the home"? Who in their right mind would do anything but laugh at that stupidity?

Now, some will argue that this is not really a big deal. Well, in the post Incorporation world it is a very big deal. Who among us thinks that other states, like say a Romney Massachusetts, won't look to this federal court decision in its attempt to crush the Second Amendment recognitions? Or how about a certain New York City Mayor? What applies in Illinois has to apply everywhere - such is the nature of "incorporation".

Brent? Sean? Rush? Mark?

I fail to understand how this foolishness cannot be lead off for all of tomorrow's shows.  FFS, a federal judge just claimed that the right to bear arms does not exist past your doorsill (and even then only by permission)- in spite of it being right there in the Constitution itself, in spite of the foolishness that it is to say that a right can ONLY exist INSIDE your home!   Really, can it get any more ridiculous than this?  I suppose it can, when the conservative leaders watch it pass by without saying a word........Maybe this time that won't happen. However, I cannot hold much confidence in anything but that happening. It is what has always happened before....

I call for the Impeachment of Justice Sue Myerscough. There is no way to sanely read Heller to read that the right defined exists ONLY within the home. Two words, "such as" does not an ONLY example produce. That amounts to holding on to a pipe dream excuse in order to willfully and intentionally deny literally millions upon millions of people their Creator Endowed RIGHT to bear arms. Willful denial of individual rights amounts to the highest of crimes and borders on treasonous activity. It most certainly constitutes dereliction of duty and violation of her oath of office.  She should be removed from the bench, immediately. This idiocy has gone on too long and went too far.

Hey Mr. Silent Speaker, John Boehner, will you have the courage to say anything about THIS Scandalous behavior, much less do anything about it? Noting your GunWalker silence and your passage of reciprocity for only 49 states AFTER the Supreme Court already held that the Second Amendment applies to ALL states, I doubt you have the courage to face this debacle either.

I guess we shall also see if the TEA party supporters, especially those with high exposure media positions, have the guts to stand up for the Individual Liberty they claim to stand for - or if they will just see yet another Liberty placed in the dustbin of history by an activist judge.  This has to go VIRAL or it will be proven to me that Liberty itself is as dead as journalism the ay Sean Hannity described. It will mean that government can literally say and do anything it wants and there is literally nothing any of us can do about it.

obama uses the word, faith...

By Andrew H. | February 06, 2012 | 05:18

Obama says his faith guides his policies. That to me is an interesting tidbit—a profound claim, a stark reminder to us what we have in the office. So what’s new? Not a damn thing is new in this for a leftist democrat in the act of concealing truth. Media jokes in the form of so-called anchors and hosts… blast away to their shrinking audiences slanted editorials, disguised and claimed to be news—and we are expected to never call them out—instead be compliant little people who follow them as surely as Jim Jones’ congregation followed him. Andrea, Chris, Martin, (there’s even an Al in there), Rachel, and a host of others earning a living being silly and dishonest—who must posses the same level of hate as a Malloy—but without being honest about that too—feed the people pond scum and are confident we buy it because to them, we are the uneducated, the stupid, the easily led, easily fed masses of dependence, of faith in government. I know that is a horribly long sentence. I don’t care. Faith is a word some people use so freely and frequently that the word has little meaning. Big word now a little word with no more substance than a “good morning,” which liberals don’t bother much with either. It is substance versus hollowness, shallowness, and who sees the difference? Who cares anymore? “Faith” to Obama, present and accounted for but not voting unless a pure leftist bill is in the offing, means abortion, socialism, energy dependence, income dependence, union power, union enslavement, trial lawyer superiority, environmental fraud, commerce control, judiciary veer—no, a hard turn—away from the Constitution, government growth on the backs of every taxpayer, higher taxes for everyone! (So much fun!), and we are to be fooled again by the democratic slight of hand (bought cigarettes lately?) who will tell us it is only the “rich,” should pay more—but we all will—and the lie is that they know it but won’t say it. And crony “capitalism”? Nah—deny it all, Obama Hogwarts while Solyndra remains a mere tip of the proverbial iceberg. Pipeline jobs? (See above) or section %*^(*% of US code *$#&*^^$%--not enough digits but there are and shall be thousands of government union members to enforce whatever the subsections of a subsection in a section is. Punish us with your faith, Obama—lama. Enjoy your golf and vacation schedule—it’s been a few weeks, aren’t you all about ready for another? Your term has been a disaster but too few sounded the alarm—or heeded the obvious. You are still unqualified and can’t do the job. Everything you touch has been a mess. You can’t manage much but here you are—we’re stuck with you for another eleven months. Our suffering is long and your “faith” would have it longer. Go back to Chicago and earn a living somehow but not as the President or anything near the government—there are no openings for you. Maybe one day you will find faith—I do hope that you will—a true faith would deliver you. Then you can find love and peace, and understand the difference between a lie and the truth. God loves you, man.

My dream---what the next Republican President should do to the media

By sms5217 | February 05, 2012 | 22:40

Given that this is an election year, like most of you, I avoid the MSM if at all possible to avoid their gratuitous and vile propaganda in service of our messiah in chief. I had a dream about what I would do if I were the next Republican President's chief of staff with regards to how the MSM should be treated in that administration: 1). Stop the stupid and unnecessary press "gaggle" every day.. Completely unnecessary and just an opportunity for the MSM to grandstand and showboat their liberal bias. 2). Avoid any sitdowns in the White House with Brian Williams, et al and the rest of the DC/NY liberal establishment. When the Republican President wants to grant an interview, pick some unknown, earnest guy in Kansas or Oklahoma who might still be liberal, but not canine in his/her allegiance to the left that the typical MSM from NYC. Give them little notice, so some national guy in NY can't get to him. 3). Avoid and shut down this stupid Press Club dinners or White House Correspondent dinners...where the MSM has some comedian do some stupid liberal act like Wanda Sykes and "I hope he gets kidney failure" line. Why have it....? 4). Any time, any time at all that some liberal idiot asks some question that is laced with preconceptions on liberal fantasies (which is to say any question asked to a Republican), START BY SAYING "I DISAGREE WITH YOUR WHOLE CONCEPT OF THIS QUESTION" and then blast them for their lies and liberal tilt. This should start with the lowest staffer and end with the President. 5). Throw in frequently with ANY interaction with the media that they are biased and "would you ask this question or treat a Democrat this way". Say it with a laugh or as an aside, but never angry or by shouting. Remember, repetition is the best way to force this into the minds of the people, who are hopelessly still in love with people like Matt Lauer. It just amazes me that Republicans, especially people like George W or Cheney either actually PREFERRED to sit down with the MSM or just play nice with them. I would not let the likes of Andrea Mitchell within 10 miles of the White House, and if your press secretary has to deal with them, inject the bias thing at every turn, not answering their biased questions, and the like. It amazes me even more that the Republicans even allow NBC to broadcast their debates....but that is another issues for another time.

Boston Bruins goalie under siege for refusal to meet Obama, stance on government...

By AggieSpirit | January 24, 2012 | 16:33

Thought the Newsbusters community would like to see some of the derisive comments being directed at Boston Bruins goalie Tim Thomas from the ESPN community/comments here: http://espn.go.com/boston/nhl/story/_/id/7497873/boston-bruins-trying-pu... And then of course, a member of the liberal elite (Boston based reporter) media goes on the attack here: http://espn.go.com/boston/nhl/story/_/id/7495441/tim-thomas-picked-wrong... Tim Thomas is a noted conservative, and is being blasted by everyone left of center for his stance. The same media and most of the critics of his decision would have loved anyone snubbing a similar invite to visit the White House during Bush's administration. But I digress.....

Racial Violence Covered Up By MSM

By John T. Bennett | January 23, 2012 | 11:12

A white middle school girl, beaten unconscious by a group of black teens on the school bus, and not a single news outlet is mentioning the race. This horrible attack happened in Ocala, FA, a week ago. What are the odds that the race of victims and attackers would have been mentioned if a pack of whites violently beat a black girl? http://www.americanthinker.com/2012/01/white-middle_schooler_beaten_unco... ABC national news, England's Daily Mail, and The Huffington Post are all reporting on the Ocala beating now, but none are reporting on the simple racial facts. http://abcnews.go.com/US/florida-school-bus-bullies-house-arrest/story?i... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2083618/Her-day-school-bus-girl-... http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/01/07/13-year-old-girl-left-unconscio...

are we going to war?

By shawn. | January 14, 2012 | 21:04

Even though folks know we have the best military in the world, people still try to test our patience North Korea builds their own nukes. Iran builds Nuclear reactors, they are arming militants in Iraq and Afghanistan and will not give us back our drone. I believe even Obama knows closing the straight is a line we cannot let them cross. Is there a way war can be avoided?

Get the media to stop saying same-sex marriage is "banned"!

By redfish | January 06, 2012 | 12:13

I'm a moderate on social issues, but what annoys the hell out of me is whenever any news broadcast talks about a "ban on gay marriage." Even Fox News anchors casually talk about "gay marriage bans", because the phrasing has entered our common vernacular. Straight from the idea of a "ban" on gays marrying, you get people complaining about how conservatives want to regulate people's private lives and what they do in their bedrooms. However, nothing is banned! People are free to do whatever they want in their own lives. A ban is a restriction on behavior, and there is no restriction on behavior. Conservatives aren't "controlling people's private lives." The government recognizes a certain relationship as constituting marriage, as it always has. This is formulated around a man and a woman because marriage is primarily designed around the idea that the couple may bear children and so needs some legal protections primarily for the sake of the children. Some people want to expand the definition of marriage to include same-sex relationships because they think its necessary for equality. That's fine, if they wan't to argue that. But referring to a "ban" where a "ban" doesn't exist just inflames the issue and serves partisans on the liberal side. Here's a recent example, from TIME Magazine, discussing a meeting with Rick Santorum: "He suggested those who wanted to change laws prohibiting same-sex marriage faced the burden of showing why that was necessary." http://swampland.time.com/2012/01/06/heated-exchange-exposes-santorums-h... Arrghh. What laws prohibit same-sex marriage? If Newsbusters doesn't address this issue, who will?

Rick Santorum falls into Media (& CNN) duping on interview. Santorum now Ron Paul expert?

By tombaker | December 28, 2011 | 17:33

I am watching this interview with Rick Santorum and CNN Wolf Blitzer right now. Instead of simply saying. I am running for President, obviously I believe that my ideas and policies are a better solution and believe that voters should vote from me. then on the obvious follow-up, "Wolf, lets talk about my policies, I am sure that you will have Ron Paul on and he will be able to explain his positions to you, I am offering voters a much better solution. Easy, an just move on, this is Santorum's responsibility. Instead, the first 8 minutes Rick speaks entirely on Ron Paul. The 2nd segment, is all about what Rick thinks of Romney and Perry. 3rd segment he again speaks to other candidate positions. Santorum COULD have controlled as an executive should the direction of the interview, instead he just gets lead along. Reminds me of when Ron Paul was on meet the press and all he did was answer question on Newt and others. Pathetic that Santorum can not handle biased MSM, as if he has not figured out they have an agenda....Breaking News Rick.....you got played.

Gingrich thinktank

By Bhaal | November 18, 2011 | 08:19

Does the wording of the report on Gingrich's think tank seem odd? "A think tank founded by GOP presidential candidate Newt Gingrich collected at least $37 million over the past eight years from major health-care companies and industry groups..." Why would it not be reported as "Think tank was paid at least 37 mill by health-care companies"? Collected has a negative sound to it. Perhaps a calculated attempt to make it appear negative. Like the tactic magzines use with darkening a picture to make it look ominous.

Christians are Murdered in America too

By alaphiah | October 14, 2011 | 07:57

Anita Perry, campaigning for husband Rick Perry in South Carolina, suggests he's been "brutalized" by the media and the GOP because of his faith. Perry is the most religiously expressive candidate in the Republican field. He hosted a seven-hour Christian prayer rally in August in advance of entering the presidential race. And at last week's Values Voters Summit, he was introduced by a Dallas Baptist pastor --Wayne Slater President Barry Hussein Soetoro had it right when he said, “This is no longer a Christian nation.” Appallingly at a time when Christians are being murdered all around the world but particularly in the Middle East and Africa we are now witnessing what amounts to the spilling of Christian blood in America. I would even go as far to say America is now an anti-Christian nation. Read more ... Creating Orwellian Worldview

The Tribesman-in- Chief

By alaphiah | October 13, 2011 | 08:36

In president, Barry Hussein Soetoro’s book “Dreams from my Father” the president establishes that like his father he is an anti-colonialist. That’s important because president Soetoro views Europe and America as Colonial powers that must be divested of the wealth that they acquired from exploiting third world countries. Do the Math on Obama’s Failed Jobs bill vote.

By Rukus | October 12, 2011 | 12:01

Let's do the math on alaphiah's failed attempt to co-opt NB's forum know as "Latest News" as his own blog. We have managed to bring his page one blog advertising (aka-spamming) percentage down from 68% to 44% as of this post. But he's still spamming away.

Anyone reading this, duplicate one of his topic headings and make your own post about, well, whatever tickles your funny bone. After you save your post go to his and post something, anything, say for instance 'Spam' on the subject line then a '.' in the body and save. You will now have his spam post with your anti-spam dupe right below it.

This could be lot's of fun. Say NO to spammers!  ; )

Obama Apologizes to Slain Terrorist’s Family

By Archie1234 | October 11, 2011 | 23:39

Obama Apologizes to Slain Terrorist’s Family Obama’s State Department (run by Hillary Clinton) has contacted the family of al-Qaeda propagandist and recruiter Samir Khan to "express its condolences" to his family. Samir Khan a right hand man to Anwar al-Awlaki, was killed along with his jihadist buddy in an air strike in Yemen that took place on September 30. I am a bit curious..... Did the President (FDR) apologize to the families of John Dillinger or Bonnie Parker & Clyde Barrow? They were killed by agents of the US government because they were criminals...... no difference with Anwar al-Awalaki. right? The difference here is the hypocrisy of it all. John Dillinger, Bonnie Parker & Clyde Barrow had outstanding arrest warrants signed by a Court of Law. John Dillinger was shot and killed July 22 1934 by Law Enforcement attempting to enforce a legal arrest warrant by arresting him. He pulled a weapon and attempted to flee but was shot three times and killed according to the official report. We all know he was most likely ambushed. Like John Dillinger, Bonnie Parker & Clyde Barrow also had legal arrest warrants signed by a Court of Law. Like John Dillinger Bonnie and Clyde died in an ambush on May 23 1934. In the years after the ambush, Prentiss Oakley, who all six possemen agree fired the first shots that killed Bonnie and Clyde was reported to have been troubled by his actions. He often admitted to his friends that he had fired prematurely and he was the only posse member to express regret publicly. Samir Khan was killed during the assassination of Anwar al-Awalaki (a US Citizen). Samir khan was not directly targeted during this assassination. An assassination ordered by Barrack Obama. I ask, is this the same Barrack Obama that accused President George W. Bush, Vice President Dick Cheney, members of their staff of inhumane treatment of terrorists by using enhanced interrogation techniques, unlawful detention of terrorists at Club Gitmo without trial? Obama has been in charge for three years and there still have been no trials! I ask, is this the same Barack Obama that ordered his thug attorney general Eric Holder to prosecute the very CIA Agents that interrogated three terrorists using enhanced interrogation techniques. Interrogations that led to further development of information resulting in the assassination of Osama Bin Laden also assassinated by order of Barrack Obama. I ask, is this the same Barrack Obama that wanted to close Club Gitmo and have civilian trials for these bastards in the same city that suffered the loss of 3000 innocent people? Unlike Prentiss Oakley, this Barrack Obama assassin has no remorse. He likes it. He is taking the easy road. The Chicago Way. Given Obama's past of Blaming Bush, surely he can't attempt to capture terrorists and send them to Gitmo. He would look like a Fool therefore he assassinates. Can anyone tell me when was the last time an American President ordered the assassination of an American Citizen with or without due process of law? Can anyone tell me what other President used a Death Commission to vet it's citizens for assassination? Given that Anwar al-Awlaki deserved his final outcome. What sickens me............ is the hypocrisy of it all! (Hope this is not the same Death Commission planned for Obamacare) Obama Apologizes to Slain Terrorist’s Family and that outrages people as it should. I ask, Have you heard Obama apologize for the false accusations and punitive actions he orchestrated or ordered others to take against our brave CIA agents, civil service staff and members of the military while in performance of their official duties? False accusations made solely for political purposes! NO! So, I submit Is the difference here is the hypocrisy of it all? I ask, What are YOU doing right now to ensure this is a ONE TERM MISTAKE? The difference here is the hypocrisy of it all. Almost 50 % of Americans still support this guy! Archie Nalbandian

Scandals Rock the Obama White house Media remains silent

By alaphiah | October 11, 2011 | 08:05

You remember Abu Ghraib where pictures supposedly showed prisoner abuse. You remember Guantanamo Bay prison where prisoners of war were being held during the active war (the war is still ongoing) they were engaged in before capture. You recall the Patriot Act where certain ones among us went nuts because they claimed Bush was violating Constitutional guarantees of privacy. Well the Baghdad Central Prison formerly known as Abu Ghraib is still open, Guantanamo Bay Prison is still open and the Patriot Act is still functioning. These were all supposedly scandals under the Bush administration so what has changed. Read more... Creating Orwellian Worldview

In some of the funniest video that you will ever see and in what Occupy Atlanta believes to be true democratic process Representative Lewis is actually denied the opportunity to address the crowd. Obama removes all Doubt

"removes all Doubt"?  Isn't that the same as No Doubt? Why, yes it is!

I remember them!  They were 1-hit "wonders"!  Kinda like Barry and, well, y'all know.

So how about those 1-hit wonders from yesteryear like this guy.  And does anybody remember these guys?  I thought these guys would go somewhere. And who could forget this? And good Lord! It's a good thing this didn't go much further! Probably one of the best one-hits ever!.

Ok, y'all get the hint. Have at it!

Obama removes all Doubt

By alaphiah | October 07, 2011 | 07:36

"And so, Bill, the answer -- the question then is, will Congress do something? If Congress does something, then I can't run against a do-nothing Congress. If Congress does nothing, then it's not a matter of me running against them, I think the American people will run them out of town. Because they are frustrated." —president Barry Hussein Soetoro

We Are The 1* Percent

By MrShy | October 06, 2011 | 13:16

NB'ers, please join me and other conservatives. It's time to protest back:

WE ARE THE 1* PERCENT

And we are taking submissions!

Write your story, take a pic of it written on paper in the same pretentious style with your sad face behind it, and PM me here. I will then give you my email where you can send the photo and written story (embedded in your email along with your attached photo.)

In case you are not up to speed, we are combating (see: mocking) We Are the 99 Percent, which is all connected to this current commie protest movement infiltrating our cities with it's pimply, welfare/socialism-indoctrinated teens and 20-somethings, hipsters/hippies, and anarchist punks. It's also backed by labor union thugs, moveon.org, funded by Soros (directly and indirectly, visa vis other affiliated sites/groups), and really just a front for the Obama 2012 campaign.

IT'S PAST TIME TO FIGHT BACK WITH OUR MESSAGE !!!!!!

Also, please help spread the word by sharing the link on your facebook, twitter, etc. -- thank you!!

- Shy @ 33 1/3 RPMs

The "D" Party is holding America Hostage

By alaphiah | October 06, 2011 | 08:35

The "D" Party is holding America hostage. You wouldn’t know it because the media isn’t reporting it. But it’s as big of a scandal as U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder selling guns to Mexican drug lords. How is the “D” Party holding America hostage? Democrats haven't passed a budget in the Senate for over 800 days or over 2 years. If that is not holding America hostage then nothing is. The Senate is required by law to pass a budget every year. If you remember Democrats purposely neglected to pass a budget prior to the 2008 elections because they feared the American people would see their fiscal negligence. (see article) Read more... Van Jones: There is no Tea Party!

By alaphiah | October 04, 2011 | 08:13

The saying goes, “Even a stopped clock is correct twice a day.”

The Tea Party has been maligned, demonized, criticized and told to go straight to hell by Democrat partisans and Democrat sycophants alike. They have been called Astro turf, tea baggers and terrorists. (see 2:53min video)

Van Jones’ organization, “Rebuild the Dream” was formed to attack the Tea Party. Jones apparently has discovered what we who are not Democrats already know. Read more...Creating Orwellian Worldview

Effects of Reagan's Tax Policy (Honest question from the center-left)

By TheGreatHatman | September 30, 2011 | 12:46

I've been pondering this for a bit - wondering if anyone here has some insight. It's no doubt that tax receipts in the 1980s soared under the Reagan administration. According to the Tax Policy center, adjusted for inflation, they rose from $599.1 billion in 1981 to $991.1 billion in 1989. That's a HUGE increase, and I've read Reagan supporters tout that information as justification for slashing the tax rate. (Requoted from the OMB here: http://www.taxpolicycenter.org/taxfacts/displayafact.cfm?DocID=200&Topic...) However, other decades in the 20th century demonstrated big gains, too. According to that same chart from the Tax Policy Center, receipts more than doubled in different decades with higher 1960-1970 (92.5-192.8 billion), 1970-1980 (192.8-517.1 billion) and 1990-2000 (1032-2025.2 billion). IIRC, each of this paragraph's decades had higher personal and corporate taxes than did the Reagan years; if that's true, then Reagan's tax strategy (lowering the tax rate/expunging loopholes) wasn't the only factor in the 1980's rise of tax receipts. Judging by the other decades, it almost seems like his policy had no effect - like the receipts would rise regardless of tax rates. Look - I could post this on a left-wing blog and hear groans from the echo chamber, but I'm curious if there were other factors in the 1980s that made Reagan's tax policy the right one for the time. (Maybe if he didn't cut taxes in 1981, the gains wouldn't have happened? Was the 1981-1982 recession so bad that lowering the tax rate was necessary? etc.) I haven't made up my mind on this issue yet - would love to hear any thoughts/input. Thanks, Rory

Obama's Liberal American Spring is here!

By alaphiah | September 30, 2011 | 07:36

Liberals have been calling for an upraising and revolt in America like those in the Middle East for months. On February 11, 2011 I posed the question, “Will there be a revolution in American”. Liberals have been asking for political unrest in the United States for months. Subsequently, the Unions organized a little noticed march on Wall Street on Sunday, September 18, 2011 attempting to provoke an American Spring. When that didn’t work, they reorganized and came back the following week on Saturday 24, 2011. This time they managed to stir up civil unrest and caused police action and arrests. Lessons learned from a Cupcake

By alaphiah | September 29, 2011 | 07:54

If you think the pricing scheme is “racist,” because it discriminates according to ethnicity, then you must also think that Affirmative Action is racist, since it does exactly the same thing! -- U.C. Berkeley College Republicans It’s not hard to understand racism when explained by someone selling cupcakes at a bake sale. Actually, it’s quite simple. If you charge different, prices for the same cupcake based on the color of someone’s skin or based on whether that person is male or female that is the essence and the summation of racism.
