George Bush a governor for 8 years, supposedly had "executive experience", and look where that got us!  Maybe that should not be such a criteria for one to be a President and must look to other attributes and characteristics like intelligence, wisdom, judgment and temperment in picking our presidents.  The ability to put people first before party and the ability to unite Americans and not divide us.

For Instance, McCain is a big gambler, loves the gaming tables at Las Vegas, which media was well aware of and are just now coming out with after his gamble of the Sarah Palin pick.  Is this not a characteristic which should have been made known beforehand.  I think the American people have the right to know that McCain has this Vice and whether they want a President who does not have the fortitude to withstand the gaming table!  

GOP through the unveiling of Sarah Palin are trying to sell us a bill of goods and mislead the public like they did about the Iraq War!  There were no WMD's and Sarah Palin is not the Reformer and the Experienced Leader they are trying to portray her -- sell her as.  When did we Americans start Confusing a staged event (drama) with Reality, the truth for a lie!

Rachel Maddow has just brought up that someone at Palins church spoke to the congregation that Israel deserves terrorist attacks because they dont beleive in Jesus.....Maddow states that Palin was present and cites Poltico.com as her source......

This is such bullshit, where was Maddow and the rest of NBC when the Jeramiah Wright crap came out. He wasnt talking bad about just Israel, he was talking about us, the USA.

As I am a Jew, I take extreme offense to the Wright comments, and if these rumours are true, then I am equally offended about what might have been said at Palins church.

The difference is that I know Palin doesnt beleive this crap, and Im sure that this hasnt been the basis of her church experience for the last 20 years. Unlike Obama, who has been subjected to this hat speech for 20 years, and only denounced it when he got busted on the national stage.

Listened to the Gov Palin speech.  Loved it, till I looked back and realized there was not one word about the Mexican invasion, unless one comment about American workers was some vague reference to it.  Which " Country First"?  Senator McCain still has  "Dual citizen"  Dr. Juan Hernandez on his staff who has said he wants Mexicans in the US to think "Mexico first" for many generations.  What country are we talking about?  The North American Union with Canada's Speech laws and Mexico's gun laws?? or Aztlan? or the United States of America????

Remember your oath Senator McCain "....defend the Constitution against ALL enemies, foreign and domestic."

It seems to me that NBC wants to have it both ways, especially with regards to Keith Olbermann. He is a partisan editorialist on his nightly "news" show, but on Sunday those of us who follow the NFL are supposed to welcome affable sportsguy Keith into our homes.

Barack Obama on Anderson Cooper's 360 made the following statement comparing his experience and that of Governor Sarah Palin:

In an interview on CNN's Anderson Cooper 360 Monday night, Obama was asked about whether his experience in the U.S. Senate dealing with weather-related situations compares to Palin’s executive experience running the state of Alaska and as the small town mayor of Wasilla, Alaska.

“My understanding is that Gov. Palin’s town, Wassilla, has I think 50 employees. We've got 2500 in this campaign. I think their budget is maybe 12 million dollars a year – we have a budget of about three times that just for the month,” Obama responded.

To quote the old Laugh In show, "Very interesting, but stupid." Did Obama have a staff of 2500 people working for him while Governor Palin was Mayor of Wassila? Governor Palin became Mayor of Wasila in 1996, the same year Barack Obama was running for the Illinois State Senate. Somehow think 2500 might be a tad much for an Illinois State Senate campaign. Illinois Senators have district offices, so I assume once he was elected, he had a  small staff, but certainly not 50 people.

I don't watch CNN and only have it on now because I can't stand Shep Smith on the Hurricane.

I am so disgusted. At about 4:30 ish my time. Kira admitted that she was down in Alaska first to investigate the KOS rumor of Sarah's baby being her daughters. Then she went on to say they were investigating other things and finding out that her children weren't perfect. It was so disgusting.

When are they going to look for dirt on Obama? He's the candidate!

Sen. Barack Obama sought more than $3.4 million in congressional earmarks for clients of the lobbyist son of his Democratic running mate, Sen. Joseph R. Biden Jr. of Delaware, records show. Obama succeeded in getting $192,000 for one of the clients, St. Xavier University in suburban Chicago.

Obama's campaign has taken a hard stance against the world of lobbying in the nation's capital. Obama said he limits his own efforts to get money for pet projects -- a process known as earmarking -- to those that benefit the public. He has posted his earmark requests on his presidential campaign Web site to encourage transparency.

Since Obama announced his selection of Biden on Saturday, attention has focused on Biden's lobbying connections as well as his son's lobbying activities. R. Hunter Biden is one of many relatives of members of Congress who work as lobbyists.

The younger Biden started his career as a lobbyist in 2001 and has registered to represent about 21 clients that have brought in $3.5 million to his Washington firm, according to lobbying disclosure forms.

It's a privatly owned station from Kingston NY and after 6pm it's got a show called "Richard French Live" and this guy is a former NY Democrat staffer who is a total snarky uber-lib as is everyone else on the show.  I can't watch it for more than ten minutes without wanting to laugh or get annoyed because EVERYONE on that network is a super-liberal snob who hates anything and anyone from the Bush administration. So, they pass McCain/Feingold and all we have left in the '08 race is 3 Senators! Any guesses as to whether this club will add another member when McCain decides?

I've read today via email (see below) that someone with the money to fund a rebuttal to Howard Dean has commissioned the following full-page ad, placed in the Washington Post by a businessman named George J. Esseff, Sr. of Westlake Village, CA.  He paid $104,655.60 to run the ad and only did it because he is sick and tired of the way that 'the rich' are portrayed by liberals these days.  It is a great read. 

For the first time since 1904, the U.S.A. has a gold medal winner in wrestling for the 55 kg weight class.  Henry Cejudo, of South Central Los Angeles, California, became the youngest wrestler in U.S. history to win the gold at the age of 21.  In Athens, he had won bronze at the age of 17.

Born to illegal immigrants from Mexico, his father in and out of the prison system and recently deceased, as NBC reports, the destiny of Cejudo must have seemed improbable to all but him and his family.  The environment that produced the Olympic champion is one hardly conducive to success.  An unstable home, neighborhoods riven wih drugs and gangs, but somehow Cejudo was able to transcend his situation to stand on the first-place podium before the world, with gold medal adorning his neck and an American flag waving to his back.

Henry Cejudo stands before all as an exemplar that sheer determination, hard work, and rigorous self-discipline can lead to success in the United States.  NBC, recognizing the potency of Cejudo's story, framed his post-victory interview in terms unmistakably characteristic of the liberal worldview:

Given the latest developments in the Russia-Georgia conflict, and its implications for the worldwide oil supply, it seems to me John McCain should be speaking out about this strongly now, pointing out his experience over The Empty Suit. This has got to be a big plus for McCain: this kind of international situation is not for the faint of heart or the inexperienced. I cringe at the thought of Obama trying to deal with a situation like this.

So where are the McCain ads that point out the international situations we face and their impact on the oil market? I think he could gain some serious points against The Annointed One here.

I for one hope the United States never has to deal with a really serious international crisis with an empty-headed thumb-sucking from-under-a-rock-in-Chicago politician as our Commander in Chief.

So just saying what liberals en mass have been saying about George W Bush for 8 years will get you in jail if you say it about a Democrat.

The double standard even exists in the Secret Service. Hey, NB folks... why not make this a cover story. Libs have been making movies, writing books and have said it on countless blogs and pod casts and vlogs about how they'd like to assasinate Bush and we on the right have been having coniption fits about how they're getting away with it... while all along their cohorts have been excusing it saying that it was free speech. Russia Invades Georgia

As Russian troops advanced towards the capital of Georgia's separatist region, Sergei Lavrov, Russia's foreign minister, said "ethnic cleansing" had been reported in villages in South Ossetia amid a Georgian offensive to retake the breakaway region.

Mr Lavrov called on the West to reach "the right conclusions" over the conflict, saying the Georgian offensive had been made possible by Western military aid to Tbilisi.

"Now we see Georgia has found a use for these weapons and for the special forces that were trained with the help of international instructors," he said.

"I think our European and American colleagues ... should understand what is happening. And I hope very much that they will reach the right conclusions."

The military operation marks the first time Russian troops have taken action on foreign soil since the Soviet withdrawal from Afghanistan in 1989.

Georgia has warned that any involvement of Russian forces in the conflict would result in a state of war between the two countries.
