Dennis Miller Smacks Down Piers Morgan for Calling Breitbart Evil

By Noel Sheppard | January 11, 2012 | 17:04

As NewsBusters previously reported, CNN's Piers Morgan on Tuesday told Andrew Breitbart that he's "notoriously evil about almost everybody."

The following morning, comedian and syndicated radio host Dennis Miller called Morgan out for this affront likening him to "Norah O'Donnell in an ascot" while advising him to check the Neilsen ratings "to see how long people are bumping into [his] show" (video follows with transcript and absolutely no need for additional commentary):

By Noel Sheppard | November 22, 2011 | 08:55

Last month as NewsBusters reported, Jay Leno did a disgustingly sycophantic interview with President Obama.

On Monday's program, comedian Dennis Miller told the Tonight Show host, "You guys have quite a bromance there, don't you? I've come up with one of those celebrity nicknames for you two -- J-Lobama" (video follows with transcript and commentary):

By Noel Sheppard | September 15, 2011 | 09:40

"I don't like Barack Obama anymore. You know why? Because he doesn't like me and around 50 percent of America."

So said Dennis Miller on Fox News's "O'Reilly Factor" Wednesday as a result of the President not speaking out against the disgraceful Labor Day comments by Teamsters president James Hoffa (video follows with transcript and commentary):

Dennis Miller Chides Newsweek Magazine for Ranking US 11th Best Country in World

By Alex Fitzsimmons | November 12, 2010 | 15:59

Appearing on the "Tonight Show with Jay Leno" last night, comedian Dennis Miller blasted the beleaguered Newsweek magazine for ranking the United States the 11th "best country in the world," behind left-of-center nations like Finland, Switzerland, and Sweden.

Performing on Veterans Day for an audience comprised of American military personnel, Miller showed his patriotic stripes: "Hey, Newsweek, go fjord yourself okay. Finland is the s--- little plastic village you set up under the Christmas tree every year."

An impassioned Miller quipped: "The best thing about living in Finland is they don't get Newsweek magazine."

Dissatisfaction With Dems a Boon For Hollywood Conservatives

By Lachlan Markay | August 04, 2010 | 08:59

UPDATE: An earlier version of this post implied that Friends of Abe had raised money for California GOP candidates, which is not the case. We apologize for the mistake.

In the giant morass of Hollywood leftism, there is a small - but growing - group of conservatives doing its best to sway the utter one-sidedness of celebrity politics.

The group, known as the Friends of Abe, includes a number of well-known A-list personalities, some of them renowned for their outside-the-mainstream (in their line of work) politics. Kelsey Grammar, Gary Sinese, Dennis Miller, and Jon Voight among them.

But though the group is small, secretive, and far less influential than its political-professional counterpart (the rest of Hollywood), "conservative frustration with the Democratic control of Washington might be helping them flourish," according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Bill O'Reilly and Jon Stewart Fight About Fox News and Glenn Beck

By Noel Sheppard | February 04, 2010 | 10:48

A heated debate about the political leaning of Fox News happened Wednesday when "Daily Show" host Jon Stewart was invited on the "O'Reilly Factor."

"What you have been able to do, you and Dr. Ailes, have been able to mainstream conservative talk radio," said the Comedy Central star.

"Don't give me I'm a Republican shrill," countered host Bill O'Reilly. "That's bull."

The pair also battled over Fox host Glenn Beck with O'Reilly finishing the interview by saying, "If you think that Beck shills for the Republican Party, you're out of your mind."

After the discussion, Dennis Miller reviewed the segment saying, "I think he's one of the most compelling TV presences in the last 20 years," fascinatingly adding "the two state-of-the-art shows for information and entertainment in America right now are your show and Jon's show" (videos of both segments embedded below the fold with partial transcripts, h/t Hot Air):

Schultz [16% Of O'Reilly Audience] Mocks Dennis Miller's Ratings

By Mark Finkelstein | October 30, 2009 | 19:10

If you were a cable TV host whose audience size is obliterated by O'Reilly's, buried by Beck's, hammered by Hannity's and slam-dunked by Susteren's, would you really go around mocking someone else's ratings?

Appparently yes, if you're Ed Schultz. The host of the miniscule MSNBC program went out of his way this evening to belittle the ratings of Dennis Miller's radio show . . .

Schultz's snide comment came during his Psycho Talk segment.

Miller Notes Gibson Quizzed Palin on Bush Doctrine, But Is Himself Oblivious to ACORN

By Brad Wilmouth | September 17, 2009 | 03:39

In light of the revelation that ABC News anchor Charles Gibson had not even heard of the recently revealed evidence of corruption by ACORN, comedian and FNC contributor Dennis Miller zinged Gibson as he alluded to the fact that the ABC anchor had famously quizzed Sarah Palin on her knowledge of the Bush doctrine during the 2008 campaign, but himself is now failing the test of keeping abreast of newsworthy current events.

During his regular "Miller Time" appearance on FNC's The O'Reilly Factor on Tuesday, when host O'Reilly brought up the tapes showing ACORN employees giving advice on how to break the law to those they believed to be a pimp and underage prostitute, Miller brought up Gibson's embarrassing lack of knowledge of the scandal. Miller: "Before I go on, did you hear Charlie Gibson today? He had not heard of this at all." After he and O'Reilly both praised Gibson as a good man, Miller continued: "He's got to wake up, though. He's got to pay attention to the story and not put it off on the cables. If he paid attention to this like he accuses Palin of paying attention to the Bush doctrine, he would have known about it."

Referring to ACORN, he later added: "These people have to be brought down. I think these two kids deserve Pulitzers, quite frankly."

Post Address Comic Relief: Dennis Miller Goes After Obama and Van Jones

By Noel Sheppard | September 09, 2009 | 22:01

The good folks at Fox News must have known that many conservatives were going to need some comic relief after watching the President's healthcare address Wednesday.

As a result, they wisely stuck with the normal schedule, and invited comedian Dennis Miller to join Bill O'Reilly in a post-address chit chat.

When the topic moved to Glenn Beck and Van Jones, Miller did what he does best (video embedded below the fold with partial transcript, relevant section at 5:05):

Dennis Miller Quips: Impeach Prez If Chooses Losing L.A. Over Waterboarding, Obama ‘Spooning’ Chavez

By Brad Wilmouth | April 24, 2009 | 02:07

On Wednesday’s The O’Reilly Factor, comedian and FNC contributor Dennis Miller quipped that any President who chose to let Los Angeles get attacked by terrorists instead of using information obtained from waterboarding should be "impeached because you’re crazy at that point." He also optimistically theorized that "I don't think Barack Obama is anywhere near crazy." Miller: "But if you're telling me, if you're the President and they say, ‘Listen, they wanted to blow up L.A., we got some information out of this guy and we saved L.A.,’ and you look and say, ‘Well, I'm not going to use it. We're going to let L.A. go,’ then you've got to be impeached because you're crazy at that point. And I don't think Barack Obama is anywhere near crazy."

As the conversation turned to President Obama’s friendly reaction toward Venezuelan leader Hugo Chavez and other left-wing, anti-America world leaders, Miller quipped that Obama "doesn't have to spoon this mook." Concerned with the image that such public cordiality would send to those who fight against tyranny, he continued: "Imagine how it breaks the spirit of a freedom fighter to look up and see Barack Obama in a pas de deux with this pig. It's unbelievable to me."

Miller: Blago Only One Associated With Obama Who's Paid His Taxes

By Noel Sheppard | February 07, 2009 | 16:25

Comedian Dennis Miller did his weekly stint on the "O'Reilly Factor" Wednesday, and was in truly rare form.

Besides claiming that Hillary Clinton has "been cheated on more frequently than a blind woman playing Scrabble with gypsies," and calling her husband "a big, loopy horn dog," Miller marvelously depicted impeached Illinois governor Rod Blagojevich as "the only guy Barack Obama has met in the last five years of his life who has paid his taxes."

Dennis Miller: Waterboarding Terrorists is ‘Heaven-Sent,’ Feels ‘Privileged’ Bush Was President

By Brad Wilmouth | January 16, 2009 | 16:59

On Wednesday’s The O’Reilly Factor, during the show’s regular "Miller Time" segment, Dennis Miller defended the practice of waterboarding terrorists to save the lives of Americans, calling the technique "heaven-sent." Miller: "Something that takes somebody who's willing to strap a bomb on and yet freaks them out to the point where they'll tell you where the next bomb is by pouring water down their nose and they don't even die, I think, wow, this is heaven-sent." He also heaped praise on President Bush for "keeping this country safe in the interim seven years" since the 9/11 attacks. Miller: "That's what I admire about him. He's willing to be hated for the rest of his life to do the right thing. And I just want to look in the camera. This is the last time I’ll be on this show when he's my President and my Commander-in-Chief and say, ‘Thank you, sir. I feel privileged that you were the President during this time in American history.’"

Dennis Miller: ‘Smartest Guy’ Obama is Either ‘Oblivious’ or ‘Disingenuous’

By Brad Wilmouth | December 11, 2008 | 13:03

On Wednesday’s The O’Reilly Factor on FNC, during the show’s regular "Miller Time" segment, comedian Dennis Miller used humor to make a serious point about Barack Obama’s connections to corrupt and questionable characters in Illinois, and whether the President-elect was aware of the darker sides of his colleagues. Miller: "It’s just nice to know that my President-elect went through that entire system – all of these guys – Ayers, Blagojevich, Rezko, the Reverend Wright – and he didn’t notice any of them. At his worst, he is oblivious. At his absolute worst, he is disingenuous. He had to know something about some of these guys. ... We’re told that he’s the smartest guy on the planet on one hand. In the other hand, he never noticed any of this stuff. Come on, get the antenna up there, Barack. You got to wake up."

NewsBuster Noel Sheppard Discusses Gore's Nobel Prize with Dennis Miller

By Noel Sheppard | October 13, 2007 | 08:45

I've debated whether or not this should be posted.

However, as I've been a fan of Dennis Miller's since his "Weekend Update" days, and the discussion was rather timely, I hope you'll forgive the seemingly shameless self-promotion.

On Friday, I was Dennis's guest on his radio program, and we mostly discussed the extremely delicious hypocrisy inherent in Al Gore receiving a Nobel Peace Prize on the same week a British judge cited nine scientific errors in the Global Warmingist-in-Chief's award-winning schlockumentary (audio available here).
