Chicago's WGN on Saturday, during a segment about concerns over tsunami-damaged nuclear facilities in Japan, interviewed David Kraft, the head of the Nuclear Energy Information Service.
As the scene shifted to Kraft's office, a sign with a swastika over the X in the word Texas was quite visible above his computer screen (video follows with commentary):
This is the mission statement for NEIS:
Nuclear Energy Information Service is a non-profit organization
committed to ending nuclear power.
To accomplish this end, NEIS:
* Educates, activates and organizes the public on energy issues.
* Builds and mobilizes grass roots power and nonviolent opposition to nuclear power.
* Advocates sustainable and ecologically-sound energy alternatives.
Through the application of nonviolent and democratic principles NEIS is determined to end nuclear power in Illinois, in the Great Lakes Bioregion, and on Planet Earth.
And this is who WGN chose to get a response from concerning the nuclear crisis facing Japan - Texas Nazi sign and all.
