I think if you look at Obama's record of working with Republicans in the IL senate, and you look at how he has made changing away from the political trench warfare of the Clintons a cornerstone of his campaign, I see a trend towards being more open to criticism than most politicians. It's going to be folks like Pilosi and Reid who will try to play radio games.
And while that in no way guarantees a respect for the entire Constitution (far from it!) he's probably ok with the actual First Amendment unless he's said something I've missed. And sadly, we can't hope for much on that score with the coauthor of a piece of garbage like McCain Feingold, anyway.

The Fairness Doctrine will be the least of a free people's problems if this guy gets elected. Read history. One day the Germans woke up under the Nazis. One day the Russians woke up under Communism. One day the Japanese woke up under Imperial rule. What will apathetic Americans wake up under, one day soon?
I'm sure they would make it sound like anything but the "Fairness Doctrine" - their language would be very noble and high-minded and they would deny that they were limiting speech, but rather, "enhancing it" - the "mainstream media" would defend them in their description of what they'd be doing and their intentions, and the "Fairness Doctrine" would live again.
It it now impossible to control. Unless they turn the US to North Korea and block all TV channels and radio station (land and satellite), turn off the internet and give the FCC control of the internet (if they could). Back when it was useful there was less channels, now if someone does not like the view of the station they can change the channel to one of the hundreds of other MSM or websites and take their money to the their sponsors. With this doctrine then the MSNBC would becomes the state media of the Obama administration what every they say is true even when they attack others.

Interestingly enough, 1984 was the year Obama wrote his now "hidden" thesis at Columbia on the subject of the Soviet Union and Nuclear Disarmament.
