"Yes, they're that

"Yes, they're that influential on Dems"

Um, not to nitpick, but the MSM and the "Dems" are one and the same.

I can't see Clinton surviving much longer, no matter what she does (and I'm taking into account the tremendous amount of political capital and influence the Clintons have). I can see the media getting the point of cutting power to her microphone when she tries to talk.

The Party must prevail.

Amen

The Media are the central unify force of the Democratic Party.

Impunitas semper ad deteriora invitat.

No, she's in it for some time.

Maybe my selection was more from wishful thinking than any kind of prescience but I do hope she stays in and bloodies Obama so that any shred of his home-made Messiah image is destroyed before the elections.  That way, even if he is the last dem standing, at least he's standing in all his hypocritical and inept glory with no doubts left about his inability to do the job.

"Cry havoc and let slip the dogs of war"  - Shakespeare

This is what's fun about watching the Democrats!

HelenS,

Your spin is hardly wishful thinking but right on the money. Osama Bama and Shmillary are bound and determined to fight this battle out to the bitter end and that's what makes it fun to watch.

They're both left-coast, bleeding-heart, 'do as I say, not as I do', bull-headed, ego-maniacal liberals who think they both have the answers!

All the while, John McCain is staying under the radar, building his war chest and, when the blood and guts of the Democratic convention are spilled, McCain's camp will launch an all out assault on them and, among other issues, use their infighting as a reason NOT to vote Democratic.

Sounds like a plan to me - and it could end up biting the Dems in their collective kiesters in the fall!

"How can you be in two places at once when you're not anywhere at all?" - Firesign Theater

It's like in 2000 when "W"

It's like in 2000 when "W" waited quietly and presidentially at Crawford for the hoopla and the interminable vote counts to determine that he was our rightful president.  All the while, St. Algore is bloviating all over creation like some red-faced jacka$$ trying to force us all to annoint him.

By McCain removing himself from the fray we are able to more clearly see who the presidential candidate is.

You're right, "sounds like a plan..."  :o)

Well we know Hil's

Well we know Hil's personality pretty well she being a megalomaniac probably won't let the news networks tell her what to do, combine that with the "last chance run" they are saying about the Clintons she will be in it until either

a) the superdelegates finally all decide who they will vote for

b) she is actually mathmatically eliminated

or c) quits breathing

I think they're that

I think they're that influential on the Dems. Especially with her husband, Bill.

C'mon we're talking about

C'mon we're talking about the Clintons here.  You know Florida and Michigan are going to be seated and Hillary will vault to the lead.  At that point the superdelegates are going to have to be rational and realize she is their best hope in the general election otherwise McCain is set to cruise to the White House come November.

I wonder if Florida and

I wonder if Florida and Michigan will be seated?  This would be a really good thread to ponder the carnage left behind if they are not seated.  The party of the people not recognizing all the people?

Nuke em til they glow then shoot em in the dark.

She is going to hold on

She is going to hold on until they guarantee her the Veep spot. Now I ask you would you feel safe if Hillary was your Vice President, knowing she will say, or do anything to become President?

Devil Dog,

What happened to Vince Foster comes to mind.

If I was pres, I wouldn't

If I was pres, I wouldn't want her anywhere in the line of succession.

Hillary wont relinquish her

Hillary wont relinquish her grip on the Presidency, I apologize in advance Mr Heston, until they pry it from her cold dead hands. Hmmm some think she is pretty cold and dead now though...

Nuke em til they glow then shoot em in the dark.

They want her to quit, but

They want her to quit, but I don't think she will.  It's still close.

Obama:

Pledged: 1588

Superdelegates: 258

Total: 1,846

Clinton:

Pledged: 1419

Superdelegates: 266

Total: 1,685

The important number for this

Might be Hillary's debt to herself, which is substantial.

I still marvel at the fact that despite a plethora of campaign finance rules out there (everyone should go run for something -- any office is fine -- so you can experience 'em firsthand, please) there's apparently no rule at all WRT various politicians going into hock literally up to their eyeballs. Considering the federal government's sea of red ink, I suppose it's fitting, though...
JMR

The tax & spend drug war looks racist in the real world.

I have a question

On the eve of the last dem primary, all the media outlets were breaking down the voters in the various states by rich, white working class, educated, no college education, women, men, and BLACK...

With that in mind, HOW IN THE HELL can they now come down on Hillary Clinton for saying, "White working class"?

Can someone answer this for me?

I was watching MSNBC this morning and oh my GOD the Shuster guy and all the others were astounded at her words, even though they ALL broke down the voters in exactly the same way the night of the primary voting.

I just do not get it.

Who would have thunk the Clintons were so hated?

I just don't get it?

»→ Well, Delsa

Well Delsa, since African Americans have made this a referendum on racial preference (90%), doesn't it make sense that Hillary should appeal to her racial demographic?

It's not as though she started the blatant racial breakaway.

♣ a seal

Well Cool

Your point is well taken but why has no one sitting at one of the idiot round table discussions called someone on this blatant hypocricy?

Even pat buchanan sits by and does not point this out to his co-workers.

The entire Democrat party is Balkanized, they break down the voters in groups, and there is no body calling the kettle Black.

Oops... I did it again.

There's only one thing to keep her from continuing...

...MONEY! Once it's gone...POOF! No more Hillary...History proves it time and time again. She cannot continue without the glorious dollar. Has Bill given her campaign a "boost"? She uses "her" money. What about Bill's? He's got plenty. Maybe he's going to write a book about living without Hillary after the election or tour the country giving speeches on how to contend with a high profile divorce!

Common property syrius, it

Common property syrius, it is their money.  It is not his or hers but theirs.  And Bill wants Hillary to win big time so he can relive the glory days when he had interns at his beck and call.

Nuke em til they glow then shoot em in the dark.

If that's so...

Dan,

...he's probably wishin' for another chance since it will be better than what he's been gettin' since Monica! LOL!

I don't think he would risk it if she were the President. She could always have him knocked off with a "presidential finding". Or send him to Gitmo. Maybe he realized early on and started the whole downward spiral for her so she wouldn't have the power! LOL!

OBAMA gets superdelegates to tie Clinton...

Well, I'm in the minority here...I picked the center choice this morning because of this reason right here that is just breaking...she may fight on, I hope she does, or she has something big that was mentioned a couple of days ago about Obama that was referenced like an Oct. surprise coming...if she does, she had better release it quickly...

Go Hillary!

She will likely stay and fight to sabotage Obama and help elect McCain - so she can have another shot in 4 years.

I doubt Hillary could tolerate waiting 8 long years for another shot at the golden ring, and I doubt that she wants to risk living as a largely ignored and humiliated VP.  Remember the way she and Bill treated Al Gore?
