Sounds familiar.

But I want to see some serious bloody politics before she does win the nomination.

I want to see all those condescending dehumanizing aspects of Democrat racism/genderism laid bare for the country to see.

I'm sick of the paternalistic plantation politics of that party of abuse.

As you might expect, I'm being kind.

"But I want to see some serious bloody politics before she does win the nomination."

As a Republican strategist this is a "perfect storm" scenario to see the Democratic nominees still going toe to toe with no apparent end in sight.  The morning crew at MSNBC* sees no other alternative than both Obama and Clinton to join forces to defeat McCain in November.  With both candidates understanding that neither can win if they alienate a large portion of each others segments of their constituents, how will Howard Dean and the superdelegates go about deciding the clear winner with out fracturing the party in the process?  Christopher Hitchens says Hillary's victory speech last night---- where she rattled off her "big battle ground states" victories INCLUDED Florida and Michigan.  The fact that Clinton is "claiming" she won these two states that were not contested by Obama AND have been disqualified by the Democratic Party, suggest that (according to Hillary) the rules only count if they are in her favor.  This could potentially become a character issue that may prevent her from having the opportunity to answer that 3 a.m. call in the White House.

*  (The reason I have quoted MSNBC (a network I despise for their un-mitigated bias) is because this gives a more accurate pulse of what the mainstream media will be framing in the months ahead.  And there’s nothing more satisfying than to see them twisting in the wind.)

Rovin, I noticed that too this AM, when I saw the clip from her speech on Morning Joe. The funny thing is that none of them on that show commented on it.

That tells me that it is becoming accepted. And there will be a huge fight to either have a do-over or to seat those delegates.

This rundown of delegates has the Obama with 1512 and Her Royal Clintoness with 1423....a difference of 89. How many delegates do Florida and Michigan have?

Also, I'm not sure if the superdelegates have been included in those totals (and Clinton has more of those).

Superdelegate Imbalance

Supers are plus 44 for Hillary right now. That's with about 400 of them counted, and God knows, they all have to be counted...and counted...and counted...and...

Imbalance?

I put maybe because of the superdelegates.  The unreported story is that she is leading when it comes to them, but they don't want that dirty little secret coming out do they?

For 8 years I have heard about election theft and constant whining about selected and not elected.. What in God's name do the Democratic voters think that this primary is?  The powers that be will select the nominee.

Last night, some got to vote twice, the first time in a voting booth and the second time at a caucus.  Did every Democratic voter get that opportunity?

They're practicing for the

They're practicing for the general election.  There, some of them will vote three times, once in their home precinct, once in a different precinct without an ID, and once by absentee ballot from their original home state.  Two or three votes for each Dem might explain how they manage to keep elections that should be blow-outs for a conservative close.

Vote Twice

This vote twice part of the Democrat primaries has been in effect as long as I can remember and I have been around for a lot of years. In fact I was in my first caucus 50 years ago. Then I got smart and jumped parties. Its is just the way that the pros control the party.

Cool, Super delegates

Cool,

Super delegates will intervene before that happens.

She can't win the nomination, she doesn't have the delegates.

All she can do now by prolonging this nomination battle is prove what you've all been saying about her nature for the past 4 years.

Vindictive, petty, stubborn, power-hungry, and desperate.

My guess is that key people will shortly begin to jump ship from her campaign.  They'll sink her internally.

Leon, If you watch the

Leon, If you watch the Clinton News Network, the guy with the map has been showing for the last month that neither of them will have enough pledged delegates to take the nomination.  It's the proportioned allotment of delegates that the Democrat embraced in their primary system that caused this.  If Hillary is close and stays close, which Pennsylvannia being between two states she already taken, bodes well for her, she will go into the convention with all the impetus she needs to do whatever it takes.  I'm thinking Democrat Convention on the big screen somewhere with soda and popcorn.

"An appeaser is one who feeds a crocodile, hoping it will eat him last."  - Sir Winston Churchill

Hunter, The proportional

Hunter,

The proportional allocation of delegates doesn't help Clinton.

In fact, it does exactly the opposite.  Losing a close contest earns just about as many votes as winning a close contest, i.e. Ohio - didn't do anything for her.

Even with overwhelming victories in Wyoming, PA, WV, KY (which is possible but unlikely) and victories in Guam, NC, Montana, SD, and Indiana, she would still be trailing Obama.

Literally her fate is entirely up to the superdelegates.  She would need a solid majority of the 800, which is basically impossible.

Your analysis is the opposite of what is really happening.

Leon, That's what I said,

Leon, That's what I said, she stays close in pledged delegates (and she made up some ground yesterday, picking up 21 more pledged delegates than he did).  There aren't ernough votes left after the vote yesterday to give either the 2025 needed to win outright.  That means balloting at the convention.  She's now within 125 pledged delegates and has taken most of the "battleground" states.  There are over 350 uncommitted Super delegates, an area where she holds the edge now.  My contention is that unless a tape of her tapping out Vince shows up, she runs on her momentum and ability to take the states the Democrats have to take to win the presidency and stays close enough to strongarm or blackmail super delegates at the convention into voting for her.  She's not going to quit.

"An appeaser is one who feeds a crocodile, hoping it will eat him last."  - Sir Winston Churchill

I'm with Leon on this.

I'm with Leon on this.  ObaMessiah doesn't have the pledged votes only because of the superdelegate system (and it is absolutely a crazy system for Democrats to have, btw because the superdelegate system screams of elitism).  The powers that be will throw Senator Clinton under the bus long before she will damage their chances at the White House.  But it will not be pretty watching her go screaking into the night.  Or maybe it will.

Can you imagine being

Can you imagine being President with Hillary one heartbeat away from the Oval Office? You'd be a nervous wreck in a week, if you lasted that long!

Ben: First of all: I do not

Ben: First of all: I do not think Hillary can get enough delegates to win the nomination, unless the Democrats seat the Florida and Michigan delegates. She needs in the range of 97% of the remaining delegates in the primaries. She will not get that. The most she can get there is in the range of 49-53%, IMHO. Due, of course to proportional rules the Democrats have. Second: I do not believe that Hillary would accept VP with Obama in the lead position. The inverse could be true, with Hillary running for President with Obama as VP. Hillary will pull out all stops to get the nomination, even though she is the more devisive on the Democrat side. However, they both are fighting a two front battle now that McCain has wrapped up the Republican nomination. This will be a bloody and costly battle for both Democrats. This will get very interesting shortly! And that's my two cents. Worth everything paid for it!

Neither DIM will have Delegate Count sewed up!

Ms Shill & Mr Obamalama will neither have enough DELEGATES to go into Convention with the nomination.  & in a dog/cat fight, I'm taking the Cat that looks like a Dog!!

Pete: Point 1: I agree.

Pete: Point 1: I agree.  Point 2: I agree, but he isn't going to ask her to lead (see Point 1), my comment was in response to her suggestion of splitting the ticket.

And I am in favor of watching it get interesting too.  So we are in violent agreement.

But unfortunately I keep waking up and remembering who the alternative to these two socialists is (you know, the old hippy we nominated).  In truth, the libs have already won the Whitehouse as the only choices are Obama, Clinton or McCain.

Of course it screams of

Of course it screams of elitism, Ben, because it IS elitist. From what I read, they were furious at the states' delegates picking McGovern in the 70's and getting blown away, and they resolved to never let that happen again.

RHB, ObaMessiah!

RHB,

ObaMessiah!  haha.  That's great.  Hadn't heard that one before.

I just don't think the powers that be will have to throw her under the bus.  She did that to herself a long time ago.  Her campaign will wither internally, the momentum will die, and it will become clear pretty quickly that she can't win.

Hillary messed up when she started going negative and sliming Obama (which is what she is good at).  That will be her downfall.

We'll see.  I personally

We'll see.  I personally think they will have to drive a wooden stake into her, shoot her with a silver bullet AND throw water on her to get her to stop.  You are underestimating her drive to win at any cost.  I agree that she killed her own chances (at a victory) a long time ago, but she is tenacious if nothing else.

Hillary didn't mess up going negative, that is all she had to offer.

Obama was brilliant at defining the game by high-lighting her negativity and minimizing the negative effects (i.e., killing the messenger and the message).

Those who beat their swords into plowshares usually end up plowing for those who didn't. - Ben Franklin

Regarding shared

Regarding shared ticket...there is NO WAY Her Royal Clintoness will accept the VP slot. She knows that's her ticket to oblivion, as she would be too old to run in 8 years if Obama wins (The Republicans did it because McCain "deserves" it...the Democrats are not that sentimental).

I used to think the Obama could be convinced to wait his turn, but now, after his launch into the stratosphere of adoration with Messianic overtones, I'm not sure.

Because of that, I won't even guess at what will happen.

Don't forget that people

Don't forget that people like Bill and the cronies he's accummulated are driving that bus.  Obama doesn't have the pledged votes because he didn't take the primaries with the percentages required to give them to him.  It's the proportioned delegates system that caused this.  If the GOP primaries had been similar, Romney would still be in the running and probably winning.  Hillary taking California, Texas, New York, and Ohio has to figure into any thoughts of who is electable, right or wrong.  That's something the Super Delegate system was devised to do.

This is what happens when we

This is what happens when we tolerate the MSM meddling in the primaries and political process.  By now you must be questioning the wisdom of allowing the MSM to take sides.  If they can side with a political party, they can also side with a candidate.  NB has covered in the past the multiple times the MSM has favored Clinton. This shouldn't be surprising as there are a number of former Clinton Admin people in the MSM like George Steph. I have even posted a list of 25 names who blatantly are siding with Clinton against Obama.  The red flags were there, the numerous times when the MSM gave a free pass to the Clintons on their sleazy dealings.  At the time, most Dems were busy defending their candidate and the honor of the Party, understandable.  Hindsight being 20/20, maybe it was not such a good thing to have allowed a terribly flawed politician to continue to embarrass the Party.  While Repubs typically get their dirty laundry aired publicly and run out of office for their indiscretions which in the short term hurts, the long term however is we don't have to continually be embarrassed by the same flawed candidate the Dems do now.   So the problem here is there are a number of MSM operatives more than willing to manipulate the storyline to the benefit of Clinton which of course bad for Obama.  Bill Press admitted as much. So now you are stuck with Clinton whether you like it or not.   I suggest both the left and right have a mutual interest in cleaning up the MSM and de-politicizing it.  I would even buy into the equality of outcome argument to insist that all political candidates be given a reasonable amount of equal time where "campaign coverage" is concerned.  Or at the minimum have some kind of cut off of air time when one candidate is monopolizing the airwaves. Maybe even subject campaign coverage to the McCain Feingold limits or even work a formula where the candidate is docked federal matching funds since clearly they don't need it with FREE air time. What is going on now is basically a cascade effect for the front runner.  The MSM has admitted that it gives more air time to front runners, which in turn increases the probability they stay the front runner. Where is the fairness in that?     Lord Sidious / Darth Vader 2008  Long Live the Empire!  Come to the Dark Side, it is your Destiny.

Yes, she will stop at nothing.  But still pray that she doesn't...

Clinton is going to be the nominee??

Clinton's victories in Ohio and Texas certainly give her the momentum. She will probably win Pennsylvania. She has had a bounce in national polls. The atmosphere between both candidates is poisonous. Now Obama is prepared to  resort  to negative campaigning. The negative campaigning is providing  a steady supply of political ammunition for John McCain.

The Clintons put Machiavelli in the shade. I suspect that they will sway sufficient super delegates to pip Obama. A solution to the Florida/Michigan fiasco could favour Clinton. Obama will probably win the popular vote but may be robbed of the nomination. Then the blood letting may commence. African Americans would feel cheated and humiliated.

Just imagine the headlines -"Democrats at war".

Of course a Clinton/Obama ticket is possible. However this would not be in Obama's long term interest as in theory Clinton could serve two terms. Would Obama be prepared to wait for possibly eight years?  Obama would become Hillary's lapdog.

If he is cheated of the nomination he should walk away.

For example, changing the "rules" for Florida and Michigan poses no problem for her. She is a down and dirty communist who will stop at nothing once she has the power. It's sad to say, but McCain is the least of the three evils from which we are forced to choose.

NEVER,NEVER trust a "liberal"

The Conservative Party

You know both Democrats and Republicans seem to be off base. Democrats have leaned so far left as to make even Joe Lieberman to leave it. The Republicans have moved so far left that we can't seem to tell the difference between the Democrats. So with some people telling McCain he should just continue and be the Mav, I am thinking he should!

I figure that with McCain aiming at the center, maybe we can kill the Democrat and the Republican party as they are, and press the resent button. McCain should pick a Democrat as his vp, and let the Republican Party be absorbed into the Democrat Party. Us conservatives can then organize a new party that is conservative from the ground up.
