Whomever voted for Rightfully fear media say why

I want to know from those 8 of you, and possibly more to come, who voted that GOP "rightfully" fear the media.

Why do you say that?

The media “wants Kerry to

"The media “wants Kerry to win” and so “they’re going to portray Kerry and Edwards as being young and dynamic and optimistic” and “there’s going to be this glow about” them, Evan Thomas, the Assistant Managing Editor of Newsweek, admitted on Inside Washington over the weekend.

He should know. His magazine this week sports a smiling Kerry and Edwards on its cover with the yearning headline, “The Sunshine Boys?” Inside, an article carrying Thomas’ byline contrasted how “Dick Cheney projects the bleakness of a Wyoming winter, while John Edwards always appears to be strolling in the Carolina sunshine.” The cover story touted how Kerry and Edwards “became a buddy-buddy act, hugging and whispering like Starsky and Hutch after consuming the evidence.”

Newsweek’s competitor, Time, also gushed about the Democratic ticket, dubbing them, in the headline over their story, “The Gleam Team.” Washington Post media reporter Howard Kurtz also realized the media’s championing of the Democratic ticket and made it a focus of his Sunday Reliable Sources show on CNN. The on screen topic cues: “Edwards Lovefest?” and “Media’s Dream Team.” Kurtz’s Washington Post on Sunday well illustrated the media’s infatuation with Kerry and Edwards. “Kerry Vows to Restore 'Truth' to Presidency,” announced a July 11 front page headline. Inside, on page A-8, a headline declared: “Kerry, Edwards Revel in Brotherhood of Campaign.” The subhead: “Energy, Enthusiasm Infectious as Democrats Take Message to Battleground States.”

For the front page story by Jim VandeHei and Dan Balz:  http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A41190-2004Jul10.html

For the inside article by the same two reporters, but with their names flipped:

 http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A41452-2004Jul10.html

On Inside Washington, a weekend discussion show taped at and run by the Gannett-owned CBS affiliate in Washington, DC, WUSA-TV, and carried by many PBS stations across the country, Thomas pointed out the boost to the Kerry/Edwards ticket provided by the press corps:

“There’s one other base here: the media. Let’s talk a little media bias here. The media, I think, wants Kerry to win. And I think they’re going to portray Kerry and Edwards -- I’m talking about the establishment media, not Fox, but -- they’re going to portray Kerry and Edwards as being young and dynamic and optimistic and all, there’s going to be this glow about them that some, is going to be worth, collectively, the two of them, that’s going to be worth maybe 15 points.”

The week’s Newsweek, dated July 19, certainly backs up Thomas’ contention. Over a smiling picture on the cover of Kerry and Edwards, Newsweek ever hopefully asks: “The Sunshine Boys?”

To see the cover:

Inside, at least in the Web-posted version, the headline reads: “Warming Up Kerry.” The subhead: “Blue skies: Their energy was infectious, but their numbers barely moved. Can Kerry-Edwards convert smiles into votes against Team Bush? Game on.” Howard Fineman and Richard Wolffe asserted at one point: “Indeed, Edwards's ingratiating incandescence has already brightened Kerry. The two became a buddy-buddy act, hugging and whispering like Starsky and Hutch after consuming the evidence.” Whatever that means.

“The Boyish Wonder” is the headline over a story on which Thomas shared a byline with Susannah Meadows and Arian Campo-Flores. The subhead: “Happy warrior: He was no superstar. But John Edwards's determination and ability to read the defense took him to the top.” The trio began the laudatory piece: “In politics, self-made men seem to fall into two categories: sunny and dark. Both Dwight Eisenhower and Richard Nixon began as farm boys, but while Ike radiated corn-fed smiles, Nixon seemed to be constantly brooding over some slight. In the 2004 election, Dick Cheney projects the bleakness of a Wyoming winter, while John Edwards always appears to be strolling in the Carolina sunshine...”

 Del between the

Del between the broadcast, and print media, the puff pieces for Dems are starting to outnumber the blades of grass in my yard. The media is fixated on all style, and no substance. Why in the world would anyone care about how soft or shiny Edwards hair is, or what Obama looks like sans shirt running across a beach.

At the end of the day a President it does not make.

Sadly but true, my mother a Lib since the days of yore plans on voting for Edwards, the same reason she voted for Clinton, for no other reason than that "he is a very handsome man", and doesn't like Hillary because "she looks mean".

I guess it doesn't matter, either way she will vote Dem, but it would be a little more heartening to see a valid thought process go into the decision, instead of libido.

Voting like owning a firearm should be undertaken with inherrant responsibility. Sadly, it seems to me a lot of Liberals vote on the attractiveness of a candidate.

When will Romney make the cover of GQ? He's not a bad looking man himself.

The medias incessant desire to keep trying to gift wrap a turd is quite vexating.

"You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy. We must be cautious. "

                   - Ben Kenobi on  Liberals, and the MSM.

Mrs. Bill Clinton's husband

Mrs. Bill Clinton's husband got elected because women found him irresistable too.

Even when he broke his marriage vows and engaged in an exploitation type of sexual relationship with a subordinate in a public building on the public's time, the woman's organization NOW and many mainstream women gave him a pass.

One "reporter" even said she'd be willing to replace Monica and service him herself, solely because of Bill's position on abortion.

You might be able to reason with your Ma if you pepper her with facts or get her to read blogs like this. I know my mom, who also voted for Clinton twice, later turned against the Democrat party. It happened 3 years ago. When she saw Michael Moore in the VIP Box sitting next to Jimmy Carter at the DNC Convention, she realized that her party had left her.

"The medias incessant

love it, just love it!

"I may be crazy, but at least I'm not stupid" ME

Because they, as did then

Because they, as did then and do now, the Presidents, dictators, et al realize the power of the press.  Attack them and they will, en mass, crucify you. And they have proven that over and over again.

The media and special interests run any government, not the people.

Works for some

The Republicans will be 'crucified' regardless of whether or not they 'attack' the press.

May as well attack then...

May as well attack then...

why do i say the republicans rightfully fear the media.

because in this day and age the first guy to scream "he did it" is believed.

if anything comes up the MSM will scream that republican jones did it ( if its a democrat they never mention his party affiliation) followed by many many articals supporting that supposition.

than six months later they write a retraction saying "o gee whiz we knew that it was wrong six hours before we published it but, you know how it goes."

and then we see jones asking "Where do i go to get my reputation back?

a prime example was the Foley scandal in the 2006 congressional election.

any one who needs to ask this question is either a fool or a liar.

 Exlib, they rightly fear

Exlib, they rightly fear the media because the media is the propaganda wing for the Democrat party.  The media has demonstrated its ability and willingness time after time to take statements of Republicans out of context, to twist facts and outright lie about Republicans.  Dan Rather and his "fake but accurate" documents about Bush's National Guard service is an excellent example, as well as the "macaca" brouhaha.

"A communist is someone who reads Marx.  An anti-communist is someone who understands Marx."  Ronald Reagan

Scares me and Im fearless

Everyone had better have some fear of them, know what I mean?
But I think they are just too polite

Still not "rightfully' MikeB

I still would say that the GOP is going to get screwed by the media no matter what they do.

So they should NOT fear the media, even if the media is not on their side, and go out with guns blazing!

Word will get out and, I think, people will respect the GOP more for standing up to the media.

Right now, people like myself, have lost allot of respect, and for lack of a better word, faith, in Republicans.

As Ann Coulter has said, the right has the right ideas but prefers to cave-in to the press and supposed "public opinion".   Thereby selling out their ideals for supposed more favorable coverage, that is just Faux Coverage.

Because of this, I think a number of people just say, why bother to vote for canidate x if they are not going to follow through.

In the old days

The Democrat's loyal parrot media would destroy any Republican and tear up their golf ticket who got out of line. These days, old norms die hard.

The parrot media is half dead now, the AMNESTY bill showed this. The exact expiration date is coing soon.

Now if Republicans would learn how to deal with issues like Plamegate, say looking into the camer and saying "Plame is lying", then things will get better quick. Maybe they should go for a dry run with the US Attorney issue.

IMHO... The sooner the

IMHO...

The sooner the conservatives/repub's learn to take on the msm in somewhat of unison the better...

I have been waiting for years and years.

Lynne Cheney vs. Blitzer is one perfect example.

Plamegate and US Attorney issue are two great examples 10, I could not agree more with you...

Haditha and Murtha would be another.

The silence drives me nuts...always has...

There are few exceptions like Inhofe for example and others...but far and few between.

Wrongfully Fear the Media?

I think not.

In the (R) debate last week, Rudy stuffed Steffi's little friend's questions at the get go....something along the lines of "I'm not going to reply to your typically liberal/democrat way of framing this question".  He did it nicely, but made his point...."I'm not going to allow you to get away with this crap".

All of the (R) candidates should continue to point out the obvious slant whenever interviewed, or participating in debates.  Even if it comes down to saying something like "that's just plain stupid because....".

Can you imagine Chrissy's sputter?  It'd be worth it for the comedy factor alone....plus, the sheep might actually begin to get it.

I am not talking about just

I am not talking about just the candidates each election....

I am talking about all of the repub's being afraid of the media for all the years I have watched them...they kowtow to them like little puppets most times.

Enough already...

The Haditha/Murtha example is one of the best for them to speak out on... after-all Murtha called some of our military murders...where are the repub's calling for his head via the msm?

Could/should be easily done too.

I agree BT

If you look how Bill Clinton went after Chris Wallace or how John Kerry gave the (i think) CBS reporter the what for when he dared question Kerry in 04 about the Swift Boat Vets allegations.

I would venture that if Republicans started doing that sort of thing with the media over time things would change or at the very least people would realize something is up.

Allot of people I talk to who are middle of the road poltically think that because Bush went along with the Plame investigation and there wasn't allot of talk like we hear on this site about it, that Bush was guilty since all you hear all the time is the left's side of it.

Also, with WMD, Bush just kind of gave that one up, same with the 16 words.  Bush and Co.  tend to just say "OK, will give you that one"   and then of course the Dems don't say the same later.  They never give in on any issue and Bush ends up looking weak.

Exactly exlib.... It gets

Exactly exlib....

It gets beyond frustrating for me politically....

I cannot believe the stupidity.

They do the same thing with the House and Senate when they are in charge...they bow to the dem's because they are terrified of the reports from the msm....

Look where that has ever gotten them.

Aggravating to say the least...you expect them to know better by now...no take that back...

YEARS ago!

Precisely, BT.

I am totally confused why the (R)'s don't shoot this silliness down immediately.

If I had my boss ask me..."well, J...you've had the time to do x, y & z....but you've not yet done it"....I'd fire back with something like "the corporate leadership has mandated that I can't do x & y, so what's your point?".  And..."what on earth on are you trying to imply when you complain about x, y & z, when your bosses have prevented me from doing x and y?".  If you want "z"....do it yourself.

In other words, we (the royal we, BTW...as staunch Republicans) need to pitch their stupid, idot questions back in their faces....

"Why haven't you embraced the idea of allowing all immigrants legal status and health insurance?"

((R))  (Big Fred, actually)...."That's an idiot question....why should we allow ten million illegal invaders to degrade our system of health care, while pretending to be citizens, and while raping our children?"

Like that.  Stick the big fat finger back in their liberal, whiney faces.

But hey, that's just me.

I don't know, but it is pathetic!

Maybe because they are clueless.

OBTW I am a registered Republican

The media is just a

The media is just a byproduct of a natural (or unnatural) convalescence of like-minded people. It's just like if I frequented a bar, chances are I'd meet like minded people.

The problem, friends, is that beer convinces me I'm smarter than I actually am for the rest of the night but journalists are tricked for the rest of their lives.

Sort of LIghthouse

I call myself exLib because I was a liberal, but I consider myself a media liberal.

In the 80's I thought Reagan was an idiot, a funny idiot, who was going to kill us by provoking WW3 with Russia.
- Why did I think that?  Becuase that is what i got from reading headlines and listening to "news' briefs and commentaries.

In the 90's I thought Dole was a boring guy without a platform because the media continually pushed the Dems talking points on that.
- 96 was the first election I started to wake up a little but not enough as I decided not to vote that year.

I think that the majority of non-voting Americans and probably a good chunk of voting Americans are like I was: Not engaged in the process, taking network news and print media at face value and letting the wash of liberal-ideas-made-perfect-in-a -vacuum TV and Movies influence their thinking to the left.

Probably 40-50% of these people don't stick to what they know is right because they don't get positive reinforcement or look for it the way I do now through these blogs and being researching news.  They are just going with the flow, go along to get along.  Which is what the problem is with Republicans.

Ex.... Post of the

Ex....

Post of the day.

You obviously get it....how back then.."Reagan was an idiot....but gee...guess what, all of us who voted for him knew he was THE MAN!"

I'm not quite sure what it is that actually makes all of our voters desire "cradle to grave" health care coverage....except for the fact that the pinko idjits (read Hillary) keep telling the under 75 IQ Americans that it's a "RIGHT".

The one thing I absolutely know for a fact is that we must take this country back from the moronic people (libs) who think those of us (you & I) who produce results should be forced to pay for all of the scum-suckers (literally) who would deprive us of our rewards for working hard.

If they can't work, too bad so sad.  It's not really my problem to feed them, nor house them, nor pay for their health care, nor their love children.

Color me callous.  I don't care about these societal leeches, not in the least.  Let them starve.

And if they hate it so much here, let them move to Canada...or France.

Republicans and the media

As far as  I am aware, Giuliani is the only Republican who challenges the press, and he comes out the better for it.

The monopoly they call the MSM have to long gone unchallenged by the Republicans and it is a “wrongful fear” as Giuliani is proving.

Any Republican would gain immediate stature if  he/she started to ‘get in the face’ of the press and challenge the questions being asked.

Bingo poco! Just wished

Bingo poco!

Just wished they would get a clue one of these days.

Very glad Giuliani does as far as the candidates go...

I saw Romney come unplugged finally with some interview.

I personally hope Thompson does the same...or I will be mighty disappointed.

People hate the press....look at their ratings....3%....with the minus room for error....ZERO!

People will respect and pay attention to anyone who gets back in their faces...would be so easy to do too...with the real facts on the subject matter too.

Something they never use.

bt

Typically, the press will ask a question hoping to get a ‘sound bite’ not having the facts to back up their question.

That being the case, all a Republican has to do is ask one simple question: “What are the facts behind your question?”

It works for Giuliani.

"Any Republican would gain

"Any Republican would gain immediate stature if  he/she started to ‘get in the face’ of the press and challenge the questions being asked."

Double BINGO!

Because they are wimps?I

Because they are wimps?I voted they wrongful the fear the media.I dont understand why they put up with all the lies and distortions. They sit back and take it.Maybe fire off a short salvo then retreat.

The media is going to hammer them anyways so why not reach down there and do a packet check. When the media starts spewing their lies they should fight back. All the people they have working for them they could assign some to dig up information where this paper, writer,or tv pundit has spread misinformation.Make sure that they have the facts straight is the key. Then put that information out.Shoot Newsbusters reports all the bias all the time.So should the Republicans.Dont let up.Turn the tables on them.Key again is use facts.Show where they have done creative editing.Show where something is taking out of context.Dont let up.Find out which reporters have give to Dems and when they post some bias oped call them on it.Bring up how much he/she put in the Kerry or Hilliarys campaign.

I know it maybe old school but if you let someone walk on you once they will never stop.Right now the Republicans have more foot prints on them then a mall sidewalk.

Hey well99... I have used

Hey well99...

I have used the phrase 'gutless wonders' over time posting here...that is what they remind me of the majority of them anyway.

Exactly

Yup I agree. It isnt like the press is going to show something good about them if they are passive.Back in the day there would be people who would keep lying about someone.Soon others would believe it.It was called gaming someone. Why put up with that? You have to fight back.By letting the media distort your views you let them control you.Show where they lie or do creative editing.Push it till it puts them on their heels for a change.

Rightfully Fear

If Bush had Clinton's press, his approval ratings would be through the roof and the Democrats couldn't win a job as dog catcher. The Prime example, I can give, of the media going after Bush and lying like hell, as they did it, was Katrina.  They still bring it up, whenever they can, even though much of their reporting was false.  Democrats know they can say anything and get away with it. Republicans know that, whatever they say, the media is going to distort it in some way.

Never argue with an idiot.  They'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Fred Thompson and the media

Because the MSM could find no derogatory political  information about Thompson, they lowered themselves even further by attacking his wife.

Being that the MSM have made their bed, they must now sleep in it as Thompson will take no prisoners in his relationship with the MSM.

One reason I can think of

One reason I can think of that is not listed is that the average Republican has more class in his or her little finger than most Democrat's have in their whole bodies. Therefore they try to be respectful and civil even to those who oppose them, including members of the MSM. So when they debate or argue they use reason and intelligent discourse instead of the anger, hate and demonization practised by so many Democrats.

The GOP agrees with the Media

I voted they fear the media as the choice was not present how I would have voted.

The correct choice is........Trent Lott attacking talk radio. Arlen Specter sounding like Teddy Kennedy.........that brain dead Vionovich agreein with what he heard Katie Couric say.

The GOP agrees with the media. It is why it never gets anything accomplished when voters put them into roll back government. Gingrich tried in shutting things down and he was crucified.......the real Tom Delays and Bob Barrs are no longer present.

*HIC IACET ARTORIVS REX QVONDAM REXQVE FVTVRVS

Soft line Repubs take with media

I said it because I feel anymore that we are a bunch of wussies. We don't and haven't responded to attacks for some time now and I am beginning to wonder if we ever will again. The public views this lack of response as disinterest or cowardice or indifference or whatever. Just like choirboys in a Catholic church, we turn the other cheek. The best defense is a good offence, hasen't anyone ever heard this? People in this country can't even spell class so there is no use trying to appeal to that MO. W is totally guilty of not responding. I am sick of the liberal scumbags holding center stage at our expense. Nasty is as nasty does and Shrillery and company are the nastiest!! You asked, didn't you?

One more thing

We know how to win, but we don't know how to govern. Anyone else feel this way? That's why we can't hold on to power, happens every time. Newt has great ideas and success. I wish he would caucus the candidates and the Repubs and teach them how to be consistent winners.

Just one more thingy

I feel so much better reading all these comments tonight. They are exactly in the middle of the bullseye. Now when do we go to Plan B and do something about it?

fear the media?

I replied that "they rightfully fear the media" not because I don't believe that the Republican should fight back but because there is something to fear in the media backlash.  The media has proven itself willing to blow stories up into media events if they can be made to hurt Republicans (Katrina, Plame, Foley, Macacca) or kill stories that hurt Democrats (land deals, influenced military contracts, cold cash, Spitzer's Troopergate).  There is a real reason to fear the press but that doesn't mean they shouldn't do what they can to fight back.  My fear is that who will hear it if they do fight back.  Unless it is a national forum that can't be ignored the story will be killed just like a Democrat scandal and if it is a national forum the media circles the wagons and goes on the attack.  They will call the Republican a bully, racist, war monger, homophobe or radical until the audience forget all about the original attack on the media and only remember the labels or the bumper sticker slogans.

Just think of the few Democratic scandals listed above and how they would be covered had the D been an R to understand that getting the message out is not easy when the old media has a pipeline to the majority of the audience.  To find information the old media requires no effort the new media requires not only effort but an open mind to find even a representational truth and so the majority will continue to be inflicted with undue influence from the old media.

Fear the media - Yes, but they must still fight back.  There really is no reason not to anymore because it seems to be the holy mission (jihad) of the old media to destroy Conservatism and Capitalism.  They will always need a Republican Party to blame the ills of society on but any good propaganda person could tell you how that works.

Wrongfully fear the media

That being said, however, I feel that the Republicans are at a huge and serious disadvantage.

Any big-mouthed Democrat congress person can breathe a thought and the media is all over it, puffing it up, giving it life, giving it color, giving it spin.  Polishing it and delivering it to the gullible and greedy mouth-breathers that swallow their tripe.

The Republicans do not have that luxury.  If they have to fight tooth and nail in order to get their position heard, they will be worn out trying to function as congressmen (generic) and run interference for themselves at the same time.

What they need desperately (and what NB and Rush and Sean and a few others provide) is someone who will diseminate their words and their positions.  They are being expected to do ALL the work for themselves while the msm pukes are willing and eager accomplices for the Democrats.

I don't know what all is involved in making (and force-feeding) TV sound-bites or taking out billboards or whatever else an organization could do to help them but if I had the wherewithall, believe me, I would be as obnoxious as Ann Coulter or worse.  I too am angry that the Republicans can't get their position out without it being twisted or mis-reported or spun.  But they need our help.

A moment to congratulate NB for their fine work but the mind-numbed robots that gaze slack-jawed at the TV are the ones we need to figure out a way to thump.  Wake them up and try to at least make them aware of the facts.  Convincing them may be futile but there must be some out there who just need to hear the truth.  The actual truth, of course, not the lib's version thereof.

"Cry havoc and let slip the dogs of war"  - Shakespeare

GOPolite

Republicans have virtually no leaders, just public relation-human resource managers. Republicans have effectively eliminated anyone who is willing and able to speak up against the Demo-demons.

Tom DeLay did well as did Gingrich. Both men had their differences with one another but both spoke up in defense of a common goal -- the good of America vs. the evil of Stalinism. Bush speaks up in defense of Clinton: "I think of Clinton as a brother!"

And so DeLay and Gingrich on on the outside while neo-Stalinists like the Clintons hone in on the White House again.

it's my opinion

i must caveat my statements that i am conservative in my decisions but not a registered republican. the reason is i don't care for the direction the republican party has strayed away from conservative issues either by submission or contrition. i suspect one of those reasons for this is simply that the "republicans" in office now are fearful of the media because their predicessors failed to retain the favor of the media like liberals do. i think that's what has given birth to the poll number or rino republicans, a step that has further tainted and weakend the party and ruined support for any truely conservative through their capitulation to the liberal media machine. there are no conservatives out there that will stick their neck out, take a chance on making a strong stance or statement, because they're afraid to make waves or create controversy in fear of presenting themselves as a target for liberals and their hound dog media. where are our ronald reagans? you see liberals saying anything out there and never held to task for what they say and do. why is that? the media in their back pocket and wont hold them accountable and this has emboldened them, so conservatives have already lost that battle. so why are they still walking onto the media battlefield to be slaughtered? i think the solution is to stop fighting the battle under their rules. those rules are skewed that give liberals the image of intellectual and moral authority to make decisions. (thank god for the creation of newsbusters, it's an inspirational start)

the easiest part of spreading the conservative message is it's already understood and appreciated by any " rational thinking persons" decision process, which is nice, but there are a lot of distractions that liberals use to distort the information available out there and in process slander the name of conservatism. additionally the liberal agenda focuses it's effort more to the ignorant or ill-informed and emotionally reactionary mindset. my conclusion is supported in print by the recent article written by the liberal doctor from emory university that calls for liberals to sway public opinion against conservatives with emotional pleas and ploys instead of head on factual debate that their agenda can't stand up to under even the loosest of factual scrutiny. because of this i think conservatives need to learn how to battle back and present their doctrine to the public in the way that liberals have been reaping through the 5 sec emotional soundbites and cool celebrity endorsements for decades now. the conservatives need to learn how retool the explaination of their agenda with a firm stance, with conviction, with confidence, to the majority of the public who only make political decisions based on a quick soundbite. they need to learn how to hold liberals accountable when they are misleading the public with their emotional non intellectual agenda. take ann coulters meathods for example, she gets out there and makes her statements in a quick, coherent, and concise manner and even when the liberal media presents it she doesn't give them much room to inject their agenda to spin her statements, she stand firm. (but someone please give her a cookie i worry about her sometimes.) conservative politicians need to follow her example, and the example set by ronald reagan. instead we have politicians that are afraid to say anything in fear of ridicule, or even worse, violating the "political correctness" scam. get out there and tell the truth with common sense and take a stand without being afraind of what name calling you might suffer from liberals. it's obvious that playing mr nice guy has not appeased but fueled the slanderous defamation by liberals over the decades. take a stand, piss liberals off, and get peoples attention, in doing so people will start to question the crap liberals preach and look into ideas presented by engaging interesting politicians that stir up the pot, and the public will start to think about the issues of the day, and when people start to think, that always favors the conservative doctrine instead of "feeling" things that is the tactic the liberal agenda uses to persuade the public.

the problem is the "game" of politics is not interesting to the masses, it's obvious
the public cares more about what happens with celebrities, sports, and
entertainment than politics. liberals have exploited this angle of attack on the public ruthlessly for the past 30 years by siding themselves with the entertainment industry to sway public opinion with celebrity endorsements and a supportive news media that has become a wing of their propoganda machine. conservatives have a hard road ahead of them if they intend to keep our country to way it was designed to be, before we roll into a muddy puddle of socialism. i believe they have lost their image because of their lack of ability to communicate with the public rooted in fear of liberals. cowering and contrition is not communication, it's a consignment of authority that is being used against us.

sorry if i got to wordy, i just got on a roll.

GOP and the Press

I'm conservative but no longer GOP. Republicans are wussies, particularly the Senate. I despise the Left but have deep contempt for the Right. No loyalty, no balls, pretty much describes the Republican Congress. They lost me over the Shamnesty- particularly the gang of 14 and McCain.  Romney is the only man running for President,
