All of the above again
July 30, 2007 - 13:15 ET by Lame CherryFor some reason your answers are always all correct and it amounts to the best choice which is a Republican president.
I do not know if people recall Jimmy Carter and his stagflation, but honestly you had to buy something this month as next month the price increase would be so high you would be shocked. THAT is the only reason the MSM turned on Carter as it was biting their million dollar salaries........otherwise for the first 3 years of his failed presidency all was well with the victorious Jimmy Carter.
Liberals need "bad economies" for all of the above reasons. Bad economies get Democrats elected, bad economies mean more power for them in ratings and fear, bad economies mean proof that America is wrong and a Soviet style they love is right and bad economies mean coming, Hillary Care which will rape the last resources from citizens making them 100% enslaved to the government as they won't be able to afford the bill along with housing costs.
The fact is though that things are not that good in the ecomony unless you are a high volume dealer in imports or exports. Inflation is destroying people's savings and investments. Big deal if your house was worth a million dollars and you only paid 250,000 for it.....because that same mark up and now mark down has you house tanking and cars, electricity, food, gas and interest all went up and stay up.
I never meant this to be a lesson on economics, but the United States must overthrow the banking cartels who are raping the economy by inflation and printing our money in the Fed Reserve like it is toilet paper for their wealth and a debt we have to pay.
The monetary system in America could be fixed and the federal debt balanced in a few years if America simply stopped the fractal lending system which is designed to incur massive debt. How one does it is simple:
As JFK did, print Treasury Notes backed by gold, silver, precious metals as the legal US currency. These notes would inflate in value with foreigners while the fractal dollar would decrease which the world holds........this means an exchange would occur of a gap of 100 to 1 in silver certificates backed by real wealth. The laymans explanation is this:
It would take a Chinaman who owns US debt 100 current US dollars to redeem to 1 US Treasury dollar. Meaning the cuts it's debt 100 fold on paper.....meaning 7 trillion becomes 100 times less on foreign paper while paper in the US hold's it's value at the current rate (this will fall as inflation is wiped out and market forces stabilize the exchange rate inside America.)
In essence, the the Chinese can keep their old currency which will inflate out and become of less value or trade up to Treasury Notes which America always had before the rape of the Federal Reserve was instituted by banking cartels 100 years ago and started all of these problems.
So 7 tillion, becomes 70 billion in debt over night. Money supply shrinks and so does worldwide inflation as the money glut now causes cheap dollars costing Americans double at Walmart what was cheap before.
This entire system benefits the small investor which is most US citizens as their savings and investments hold and grow in value, instead of inflation eating your nest egg to nothing.
I will repeat.......what good does it do to have a home worth a million dollars in inflation when cars went up 10 times more, food goes up 50 times and gas goes up 1000 times more. It is far better to keep Treasury Notes as before where you home holds its value at what you paid and your investments increase not by inflation but by wealth produced.
This system only benefits bankers, mass importers or marketers and big monopoly production. That is why you the American are slaving for communist benefits and listening to Hillary Clinton on health care which you can not afford.
The system was designed to do just that, cripple your wealth to enslave you so the powers can control all you do instead of you having wealth in mass controlling your own destiny.

July 30, 2007 - 23:07 ET by shawn228There is economy is humming along but its strength is not reported because
:Oil is 76 dollars a barrel
:US dollar is close to all time low
: Deficit was 5.4 trillion 8 yrs ago, now it is close to 9 trillion
:Even though gas has been dropping it is close to all time high.
: Medical cost are through the roof.
: Iraq war is costing us 10 billion a month
Yes the economy is doing great and if other things were more rosy then the msm might be more optimitic

Are you doing better than you were six months ago?
That is the salient factor.
Only an honest answer is required.
Better? Yes or no?

July 30, 2007 - 23:18 ET by balboaI don't know about Shawn, but I'm doing exactly the same as I was 6 months ago. There's no noticeable improvement or drop in my standard of living...except I have Tivo now, so in that sense my life is tremendously better.

July 30, 2007 - 23:33 ET by BlondeShawn,
My question was not for the "general population".
My question was for you, specifically.
Are you (and your family) better off than you were six months ago? That is the salient point.
Personally, I have to say I am better off today, than I was last week, last month, last year, last six years...thank you George Bush...for the tax breaks, and for the opportunity to earn to my potential, with the flanking efforts to keep all of the socialist sycophants at bay!
I work very hard....and enjoy all of my efforts, and am tickled pink every time the socialists get pissed that they can't grab my successes!
What say you, Shawn?
Blonde, If your talking
July 30, 2007 - 23:40 ET by shawn228Blonde,
If your talking about the last 6 months, I do not believe that I have really seen a change in how much I make or If I am better off.
In the past 6 yrs, my SO and me take home a little bit more from out paychecks. Combined we make 6 digits and it is nice having the tax breaks. I am not saying any of these are Dubyas fault but, I also have to trade that off with double gas prices, higher medical cost and higher deductables .
My standard of living I would say is with everything said and done about the same. IMO the state of the USA is worse off than 6 yrs ago.

July 31, 2007 - 00:01 ET by BlondeShawn,
Well, that was kind of my question....are you better off now than you were before (George Bush)?
Asked, and answered, apparently.
I'm so much happier under the "Bush Regime" than I'd be under any of the socialists.
Not to worry, though, Shawn....we'll let them tax you for all you're worth.
blonde
July 31, 2007 - 00:15 ET by shawn228Blonde,
To be fair to Bush, I do not know how things would have turned out if we were not attacked on 911. He might have been re-elected for his ablities as Comander and Chief as oppossed to being strong on terror.
I don't like paying taxes either, but I don't remember paying a huge amount under Clinton.

July 31, 2007 - 13:08 ET by kwThe negative spin on the good news is for Bush-bashing...plain and simple.
The omission of good news on the economy is for not giving Bush any credit and to play down the economy for 2008.
Although I do believe the media loves the negative and pessimistic news, this is pure anti-Bush.
