The dems sense of entitlement to the presidency will be magnified 100 times more than 2000 now in 2008. You can bet money if repubs win (especially with a very close margin like 2000), there will be endless protests by the Code Pinko's, multi-state recounts, anything to bring any shred of doubt to the process.

I think much of the media always looked at the Clinton era as the second Camelot. Aside from the Monica Lewinski deal, the media thought there were no problems in the 90's. Recessions were over forever, everyone had money. Heck, I do not even remember global warming being such an issue back then. I think they want a little touch of that back. Plus, they are still in love with Slick Willie.
Secondarily, many white liberals are indeed closet racists (IMO) who do not really want a black person running the show. I really believe that successful minorities scare liberals, even if they themselves are liberal. The left is far more comfortable pointing out all of our misery than actually celebrating anyone's success.
Perhaps that is why they are trying to get everone on the dole - so they cannot make better lives for themselves. After all, welfare has done such a great job of picking people up.
