I put all of the above. But I think that it is mostly because of the media's hatred/total intolerance of Judiasm and Christianity...which is shared by Islam. The whole "common enemy" thing that brings two different parties together for a common goal.

I voted other:  Christianity is the regligion telling them gays can't marry, drugs are bad, premarital sex and porn is bad etc.  Islam isn't... yet.

I voted "other", but there should have been a "none of the above" selection available.  I think that the atheists and secular humanists in the media hold Islam in the same contempt they do Judaism and Christianity.  They also realize that if they impugned Islam they way they do Judaism and Christianity they could wake up dead the next day.  The media are just as "suspicious" of Islam, but they also fear Islamists because of the Islamists demonstrated willingness to object by riot, bombing, kidnapping, beheading, etc.  If Jews and Christians demonstrated the same tendencies, the media would also treat them with the same circumspection that they do Islam and Muslims.

Now that it has been brought to my attention, I've been noticing more often that the media will have no problems with anti-religous propoganda - especially christian, all the while screaming they can because of the first amendment. What I find humorous is that they fear getting killed from those "wacky" islamofacists and don't hear a peep that their first amendment rights are being violated when they refuse to run a cartoon because of fear. strange days indeed.

For those of you who didn't REALLY read the question before voting, the correct answer is All of the above.

I don't have a clue to how they think (it's murky and vague, anyway) but it seems that they are intrigued by anything different.  To them, anything that is bordering on primitive is also mystical.

Their attitudes to pre-Columbus native Americans or to primitive Africans or any other "unspoiled" culture seems almost orgasmically mystical.  As though these pagans and basically ignorant types hold the secrets to the universe.  Are in touch with nature.  Are one with the cosmos.  And other drivel.

They visit primitive places to look at natives as though they are artifacts and almost get apoplectic when someone wants to help them out of the abject poverty and degradation because then we're interfering with nature at work.

Well, newsflash: this is not the starship Enterprise and we do not have a "No Interference" policy.  It is our responsibility to help those around us.  Not to take pictures of them and then remove all trace of anything that could help them.

Islam is almost in this category because it is from "over there where they talk and dress funny and have traditions and stuff".

The whole fascination with things pagan or supernatural is based on their (lib's) ignorance of God and they substitute pagan rituals (like Gaia or the environment or some other earth-worship manifestation) for true worship.

Christianity is an uncomfortable reminder that civilization moved beyond the superstitious long ago and they didn't get to have any fun with the rituals.  They want their turn to worship themselves in dark and mysterious rituals or psychotic behavior.

It all goes back to psychology as I posted yesterday in Liberals as they are all self medicated addicts running from life's failures.

Liberals then run to drugs, sex, food etc... and help other failures to enable them to "feel good too" in dealing with failures instead of overcoming them.

Liberals know at heart they are sinning and that is exactly what it is. It is rebellion against laws meant to protect them from themselves. They run from God and try to manipulate secular laws to give them respite from the guilt. So you have sodomites legally destroying themselves to women destroying their wombs to abort children which is all legal in secular laws, but harming people using "feel good" to deal with the misery they are in.

Christianity is the belief they run from or hate, because it is the place of God in America Who exposes in natural guilt all the things Liberals run from. If you notice Amanpour embraces Islam as Islam is a punishing religion and she wants to be covered up and punished, then take control of dominant weak males who inhabit Islam. The same is with the Talmudic system driving out the Torah and Tanakh Judeans. The Talmud is Babylonian and does not deal with God's Hope, but with making excuses for human weakness.

These are the reasons Liberals attack Christianity. They are running from themselves and the Light which shows them for what they really are behind closed doors.

 I chose other because the media can say anything about Christianity and not worry about being picketed or bombed.  They know that Christians will "turn the other cheek" so to speak.  It's an easy slap for them, one where they don't have to think about the consequences.
