tough questions
April 17, 2008 - 18:54 ET by DontabIt's an anomaly when libs are asked anything remotely tough, that's why they can never win an argument based on facts.
Facts!?

That, and that alone, is why the left-coast, bleeding-heart, 'do as I say, not as I do' liberals are fuming at Georgie Boy.
Bottom line is, they can't handle reality. Never have - never will -just like they couldn't during the 60s - that is, if any of them can REMEMBER the 60s!

The 60's
April 17, 2008 - 19:47 ET by iveseenitallI was just saying this today. When thinking back on the 60's, I remember when the kooks invaded Columbia University and had a "sit-in". Instead of kicking the spoiled s.o.b.'s in the butt and throwing them the hell out, the libs gave in. It's been downhill ever since. Whoever did this did it for the same reason Clinton gave for his behavior--- "because I could". The left is totally out of control. No good is going to come of this.

Tough Questions
April 17, 2008 - 20:09 ET by Noel SheppardNBers,
This is ALL about tough questions.
Remember when Chris Wallace had the NERVE to ask Bill Clinton tough questions about what the former President did and didn't do concerning bin Laden? Clinton went NUTS, and the Libs celebrated it.
Let's face facts: after years of not being questioned by media members, the left in this country act as if it is their birthright, and pretend that a rape has transpired if someone dares pose a query that isn't a softball.
THIS is EXACTLY what's happening today, and we on the right need to celebrate.

Chris Wallace/Bill Clinton
April 18, 2008 - 12:40 ET by JerI have a great deal of respect for Chris Wallace, and for his performance as host of FNS and his demonstrated ability as an interviewer. I didn't "celebrate" Clinton's unseemly overreaction to Wallace, but the question was certainly not one of Wallace's better efforts. It was poorly framed and excessively provocative.
Imagine if Bush were to grant an interview to Keith Olbermann and the first serious question posed by Olbermann were the following: "Mr. President, I have looked over the many emails from my audience, and, overwhelmingly, they want me to ask you why you didn't do more to prevent Al Quaeda and bin Laden from killing 3000 Americans on 9/11."
[That's not a verbatim replication of the Wallace to Clinton question, but it's pretty close.]
I doubt if Bush would care for the question, or would his many supporters.

I think it's more about Obama being asked tough questions
April 17, 2008 - 20:47 ET by c5thenThe outrage would not have been nearly so much if it had been Hillary being asked the tough question. But his majesty, the annointed one, Barrack Hussein Obama shall not be stressed or challanged in any way.

April 18, 2008 - 09:01 ET by jpatchGreat point.
Perhaps they should give Baraka all of the questions before hand, that way he can write all of his answers down and not have to worry about dealing with a "crisis" in real-time.
I was telling my girlfriend...in this country where blacks are taught that they are entitled to everything, it makes you wonder how much of this is Baraka being a d*ck, and how much of it is just shock, because probably for the first time in Baraka's "adult life", the American "machine" has turned on him.
It's like..."what, no more free lunch? Screw you guys, I'm going home..."
He should've already been
April 18, 2008 - 09:34 ET by Hero SquadHe should've already been well prepared for that question. It was brought up on Hannity's show, Stephanopolis said "I'm writing this down" during the interview and intoned that he was considering asking it.
If the Obama campaign does not have at least one person monitoring a national talk show like this and preparing him for any possibilities, then his staffers are failing him.

If the lefties are upset
April 18, 2008 - 11:52 ET by OneZeroIf the lefties are upset now because George Snufalufagus asked a few questions that were "tough", how will they feel when BHO goes on The O'Rielly Factor? BHO told Bill that he would come on his show after the primary.
I don't see BOR asking about Bill Ayres or the lapel pin. He might ask about Rev. Wright. What I would like to see BHO explain in the "No Spin Zone" is his contradictions on raising taxes.
BHO said that he would not raise taxes on anyone making less than $200K/yr. Later he said that he would raise the social securtiy cap and raise the capital gains tax. With all the social programs he proposes he will either have to tax the upper classes to the point where it stifles the economy or substantially cut defense spending to pay for them.
In my humble opinion the "hard" questions BHO was asked in the debate would be considered softballs in a Republican debate. BHO has yet to have a hard interview. BOR may not be the best one to do it, but I'd love for BHO to sit down with Chris Wallace for 30 minutes.
Will it ever happen? I won't hold my breath.

The more I see of Hill & Barry, the more I like McCain.
April 19, 2008 - 16:52 ET by CrashUntil now their "debate" questions were all softballs in the slow pitch league. Character does count and the democrats have shown us that the longer they're seen the worse they look. I bet they'll push for a shorter election cycle next time around.
