McCain, but not by enough.
October 16, 2008 - 02:01 ET by CooltomMcCain, but not by enough. He could of won the election if he had stated the following at the right opportunity:
"I'm sure a lot of viewers have seen reports about the voting registration shenanigans of a group called ACORN. It was no secret that this pattern of bogus registrations has been utilized by ACORN for many recent elections, in fact for decades. Yet my opponent gave hundreds of thousands of dollars to this controversial group to fund his get out the vote campaign.
During this campaign many people have wondered just what it is that community organizers do. As my opponent is well aware, the CO in ACORN stands for Community Organizations. If this is how community organizers operate, I am sure that Americans will want no part of that."
LMFAO!!
October 16, 2008 - 04:46 ET by GForceI loved it when McCain mistakenly called Obama, "Senator Government".

Didn't watch, don't know
October 16, 2008 - 08:00 ET by dmntd1Didn't watch, don't know who won. But I know we, the people, seem to have lost.

Joe the Plumber Won
October 16, 2008 - 08:42 ET by NoJellyI have no idea how the gods work their magic, but "Joe the Plumber" was in the right place at the right time. If there was ever any doubt about the ferocity of Obama's socialism, it should be erased by now, except perhaps by the Obamites-in-denial...
McCain was right to invoke Joe repeatedly, Joe was a gift from Heaven.
I think McCain still has a chance, perhaps a good chance. He simply needs to hammer the socialism aspect, because that's what it is...
No, Joe the PLumber lost to Obama
October 16, 2008 - 10:16 ET by CarlosSObam beat the snot out of poor Joe.
Before the night was over, poor Joe had to pay higher taxes, lay off one plumber's helper, and scrap his affordable insurance plan for a government mandated plan, all so that the Senator Government could give Joe's layed off plumber's helper a welfare check and some government mandated health insurance. Heck, Joe was even thinking of selling his business so he could get some of that tax break on capital gains tax that Senator Government invented towards the end :-(
McCain Won
October 16, 2008 - 09:19 ET by MeanderingYeah, he won, but not that anyone will know unless they watched and I don't think too many people watched. McCain was cool, and aggressive. Obama was on the defense and didn't get shaken, but didn't fight back enough to have won. It was great to finally see McCain take the issues to Obama and we saw Obama had no real answers. Look at the Ayers and ACORN issue McCain stated. Obama tried to cut ties, but did not say he wasn't friends with Ayers and didn't say he didn't help ACORN. However, my first statement remains that not too many people will see it and just take the MSM word that Obama won.
Not Voting
October 16, 2008 - 11:39 ET by mattmThe only winner was the Leftist media. They won all the debates. They got their moderators, their camera people, their technicians, their post-debate commentators, etc. etc.
In a real debate, the participants would have to back up their claims with logic and fact. Style would count for little. Substance would rule, but since the 1960 Nixon/Kennedy TV debates, it's all been about image, and the MSM is all about painting democrats with a good image and republicans with a bad image.
That's all there is to it.
McCain won hands down...
October 16, 2008 - 14:12 ET by bigtimerMcCain won hands down... Senator Government was left in the dust.
Btw...I am very happy for what Rush said in his opening about Fox news post-debate spin...some of us posted here last night about his..it was simply unbelievable...I also don't care that much about Fox anyway anymore, I flip around to different shows just as I do the others with the exception of H&C...I always try to catch that show even if I do differ now and then.
Funny what the msm and others in La-La-Land saw compared to the real people out here...reality doesn't seem to hit those in the elite DC east coast bubble these bobble-head talking heads see...
...and most here know I am no McCain fan whatsoever...but that debate was the best by far and I am glad I forced myself to tune in.
