I thought the media already
October 15, 2008 - 12:05 ET by HermanoI thought the media already called the debate a win for 0bama.

I voted for Sen. McCain,
October 15, 2008 - 12:07 ET by Scuba DudeI voted for Sen. McCain, but he will only win if he comes out swinging. Maybe he should take a page from Gov. Palin and ignore the moderator and question Obama about his radical associations, economic disaster of a tax plan and appease our enemies at any cost foreign policy.
If he doesn't grab the bull by the horns he will lose.
I'd be surprised
October 15, 2008 - 13:07 ET by mbuelIf Johnny came out swinging. He'll pander to more socialist policies (like buying mortgages he mentioned last time!!)
Palin has accomplished great things, while Obama has continued to make empty promises that the world owes you a living.
Don't care
October 15, 2008 - 12:07 ET by Indiana JoeReally, I don't think these "debates" change anyone's mind, or even do much to get the "undecided" vote. I'd rather see just the two of them, no moderator, asking each other questions.
I'd love to see McCain (better yet, Palin) ask Obama about his past, his associations, his voting record. Then, rebut with documented proof of the truth. And let Obama do the same. He's hiding a lot more than McCain is, that's for sure. Let them go at it, the way a real debate is supposed to be.
Maybe then, we'd actually get some real answers.
Jesus Christ was crucified by "community organizers."

October 15, 2008 - 12:19 ET by SeashellThis would be great but Obama and the MSM will never let it happen. People might actually learn something about the real Obama.

October 15, 2008 - 12:27 ET by SeashellI've got an idea. Get McCain to challenge Obama to this kind of debate on Pay for View with the proceeds to go to hurricane relief. How could Obama refuse?
Call me an Optimist
October 15, 2008 - 12:08 ET by MeanderingBecause I am, but I'm saying McCain will because he knows if he doesn't he will probably lose. So I feel he will come out and hand Obama's rear to him. Not that the MSM will agree, but I fear that hardly anyone will watch the debate as people are tired of the whole presidential season. So even if he does win not too many people will see it.
Going out on a limb
October 15, 2008 - 12:09 ET by Tom in NCI'll say McCain, that is if he's got the balls to take the fight to Obama and nail him to the wall about his radical associations with Ayers, Wright, Rezko, etc. His illegal fund raising, kick-backs from Fannie and Freddie. If not then he is toast!
Mr. Stephanopolous
October 15, 2008 - 12:12 ET by ecnirPCan we safely assume that George Stephanopolous will get here early enough to cast his vote for Sen. Obama?
Going to bed
October 15, 2008 - 12:13 ET by cvgbuckeyeI will just get angry again because John McCain will bring a bean shooter to a nuclear war. HE WILL DO NOTHING BUT STAND THERE LIKE A DOPE AND ALLOW OBAMA TO WHIP HIM LIKE A RED-HEADED STEP CHILD and I refuse to watch any more of it.
I am going to hold him responsible for the Marxist takeover of the executive branch of our government.
If this is all that he was going to do, why didn't he just step down in the primaries and let somcone else take over.
Can you just imagine what that debate would look like tonight if either Rudy Giulliani or Mitt Romney were on the stage. Rudy would wear Obama out like a cheap suit.
Gonna hit the hay early
October 15, 2008 - 12:42 ET by midnight cowboyGonna hit the hay early tonight also.
McCain only attacks republicans. McCain won't dare go after Obama's jugular like he did to Romney in the primaries.

October 15, 2008 - 12:26 ET by SvenMcCain's had the two debates already to hit homeruns and he hasn't delivered.
He could've brought up those responsible for Frannie and Freddie (Frank, Dodd, Schumer etc.), but he found it more important to remind us (again!) about how's he reached across to the Dems.
He could've hammered BHO on his ties to Ayers and Resko, but instead thought it more important to remind us that we needed to get along with the Dems!
I have had it with this dough-head! Everytime Talk radio and Palin dig him out of a hole, he screws it up again! So now BHO is a person that Americans don't have to be scared of as President! McCain, you idiot! This completely discounts your arguments against Obama!
I may not be able to watch this tonight for fear of throwing something at my TV!
Rational plans don't matter to most voters
October 15, 2008 - 12:29 ET by dmac18The media has already made its call in Obama. Nothing McCain will say will matter anyway to them or to those who don't let rational thoughts pervade their emotions. Worse yet, many Obama supporters will vote for him based on the hopes of greater financial gain on the backs of the working class (redistribution of income from the working to the non-working), his "good looks", his support of the many liberal infringements on our lives and/or the almost religious-like worship of the ground he walks on. They won't look carefully at his record or his ethically challenged entanglements. Though change is the mantra from the Obama campaign, the change looks to me like the standard big-government playbook common to more socialistic forms of government.
Though I don't like McCain well, Obama's government, if based on the nature of his legislative record of votes and with Democratic control of the House and Senate likely will so thoroughly federalize our economy, health care, ethics, and freedom to levels matched by third world countries. All the while more power and wealth will be given to the hands of the few, morally-challenged individuals in control of the government.

If Obama didn't even show up the media would still say that Obama won. McCain will most likely dissappoint us all by praising Obama as a good man who just has differing ideas than he does. I will watch while holding my nerf football so I can squeeze it every time McCain says, "my friends", and throw it at the TV when Obama's lies go unchallenged. All that is left are prayers!

McCain will fall for the bait
October 15, 2008 - 13:21 ET by nwahsMcCain will fall for the bait, and bring up Ayers to "Obama's face" and Obama with refined explanation of his relationship with Ayers, will leave McCain looking like a confused man who just missed the bus.
Why does McCain keep repeating the same blunder of announcing and spinning tactics in advance? Why do you think the Obama campaign is goading him to bring up Ayers? They have something prepared. McCain is a month late and a bailout short with that.
He's starting to appear incompetent. With his dramatic announcement that he was suspending his campaign to save the economy and appearing to do nothing but imitate a bump on a log, he appears incompetent.
With his announcement that he intends to go after Obama with attack ads, he appears incompetent.
With him telegraphing that he will bring up Ayers in the next debate, he appears incompetent.
Why is this man telegraphing his punches? Why doesn't he forget the announcements and JUST DO IT?

Conservatives have been duped. Democrats in the New Hampshire primaries along with the help of the MSM were allowed to handpick the opponent they most wanted to run against. John McCain was the media darling back when they were courting him to be their favorite patsy. Unless the RNC wises up this will be the democrats game plan for many elections to come. Unfortunately, too many of our base can be blindly led by the media like lemmings. I was a Fredhead and still believe he would have mopped the floor with NObama! His only mistake was getting in the race too late.

3rd time Obama illegally crashed market before the debate
October 15, 2008 - 14:24 ET by Lame CherryJohn McCain will win the debate of course as Obama is an empty suit program for responsed.
Obama has made a huge mistake in public unleashing talking points to the media which he used to release only to the select Mark Halprin wacko outfit.
This means when John McCain whoops his butt that Obama will not be capable of dealing with new information.
I sincerely hope that John McCain brings up the following:
Obama Biden illegal torture and false arrets of the gay man Lawrence Sinclair.
Obama's illegal detainment of Jerome Corsi in Kenya which literally almost killed Mr. Corsi as he has been on medical care since returning from Odinga's machine gun thug Marxists in Africa.
Obama's sending 1 million dollars to Cousin Odinga who the BBC cleaned an entire area by murdering people.
The illegal money fraud of Obama.
The illegal vote fraud of Obama.
The mansion which Saddam Hussein helped Barack Hussein Obama pay for in Chicago.
William Ayers rape of a Jewish girl.
These are all facts in the media backed up by media resources.
Lastly, I demand Joseph Farah (He has done a splendid job the past few days.) Sean Hannity and Rush Limbaugh to get off their posteriors and call as everyone should for a Department of Justice investigation and indictment of those Obama forces who have tanked the market THREE TIMES IN A ROW NOW BEFORE OBAMA FACES MCCAIN IN A DEBATE.
That is not coincidence and is fraud which Barack Obama is a definite part of. Americans and Eurasians are loosing billions of dollars each time this happens all for Obama. It is criminal terroristic economic rape of small investors.
I demand the criminal justice system deal with this.

Amen, sister. I am tired
October 15, 2008 - 15:37 ET by Ruths husband BenAmen, sister. I am tired of this election cycle. I have been unhappy with the Republican Party (horrified by the Democrat Party). I will vote for McCain come election day, but I will be flabbergasted if he wins this thing.
Perhaps this will convince the powers that be that playing to the center is a losing strategy. Maybe they will put up a stronger candidate in 2012 because it is amazing to me that any conservative couldn't beat Obama.
Newsbuster's exists to point out the bias in the media, and it truly exists. But blaming this election on those bozo's misses the point. We need to get better at getting the message out in spite of the brain dead main stream media.
Conservatives tend to not know how to fight back. Reagan did. Bush Sr. and W don't. That God for Tony Snow (may he rest in peace). He knew how to express the conservative viewpoint THROUGH a leftist media. Are there no others like him?
The bright point in all this has been Sarah Palin. She is shining and although she has had a few stumbles along the way, she has definitely been learning. She was a star here before she was nominated and I think we will be hearing great things from her in the next election cycle.

October 15, 2008 - 16:15 ET by ckc1227I picked Obama, and here's why. Last night, McCain attended a $20,000 plate dinner fundraiser.......on Wall Street. Heck, he's probably going to bring it up anyway.
