They all be wacky!
April 2, 2008 - 07:07 ET by sentforth5Olby is freshest in everyone's mind, but they are all nuttier than fruitcakes.

April 2, 2008 - 07:21 ET by richflanjPlease, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please put in "All of the above" as a selection. My head hurts from trying to pick just one.....

April 2, 2008 - 07:26 ET by taterYou beat me to it...all of the above.
By justice a king gives stability to a land; but he who imposes heavy taxes ruins it. -Proverbs 29:4
All of the Above
April 2, 2008 - 08:37 ET by thoridflyGood Proverbs quote.
Proverbs 29:4 MSG
A leader of good judgment gives stability; an exploiting leader [a Democrat ... like Bill Clinton] leaves a trail of waste.
Proverbs 29:4 ASV
The king by justice [by fair taxes and just laws] establisheth the land; but he that exacteth gifts [terumah - demands tribute] overthroweth it.
Proverbs 29:4 BBE
A king, by right rule, makes the land safe; but one full of [vain political ... i.e. SOCIALIST] desires makes it a waste.
Proverbs 29:4 Bishops Bible
With true judgement the king stablisheth the land: but if he be a man that oppresses the people with gatherings [taxes], he turneth it upside down.
Proverbs 29:4 CEV
An honest ruler makes the nation strong; a ruler who takes bribes [a Democrat] will bring it to ruin.
They Frame Mischief by a Law
April 2, 2008 - 08:58 ET by thoridflyPsalms 94:20
Shall the throne of iniquity [Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama] have fellowship with thee, which frameth mischief by a law?
Hillary wants the whole range of the liberal agenda enacted into law and Obama wants gay marriage.
Shall either of these thrones of iniquity have partnership or agreement with God, which are fully set to frame mischief by a law?
Obtaining the Kingdom by Flatteries
April 2, 2008 - 09:09 ET by thoridflyThese two verses have always stood out to me as the set pattern Democrats follow to obtain office.
Daniel 11:20-21
(20) Then shall stand up in his estate a raiser of taxes [a Democrat] in the glory of the kingdom: but within few days [if only we could deal with Democrats so swiftly in our day and time] he shall be destroyed, neither in anger, nor in battle.
(21) And in his estate shall stand up a vile person, to whom they shall not give the honor of the kingdom: but he shall come in peaceably, and obtain the kingdom by flatteries [isn't this how Bill Clinton obtained the presidency in '92 and '96 ... by flatteries? isn't that how EVERY Democrat runs for national office now?].
Democrats only offer 2 types of candidates : raisers of taxes and "vile persons" ... liberal nutjobs that want to weaken this country with socialism at home and appeasement abroad.
No way to pick one......
April 2, 2008 - 07:26 ET by OldSailor88I say...CAGE MATCH!
My money is on Helen Thomas to take Olberman in the second round.

Wackiest - a tough call!
April 2, 2008 - 08:03 ET by PlaceboThey’re all wacky; I picked Olbermann only because, unfortunately, he gets more ink. Admittedly, when Turner is dragged out into the asylum’s garden or exercise yard; he wins hands down!
I agree...
April 2, 2008 - 08:51 ET by HypocriteHaterWhen Ted describes North Koreans as "thin and they were riding bicycles instead of driving in cars" as an argument against the brutality of the regime, that's wackiness in my book.

Which one is "winiest"?
Please! Of Moore, Olby, et al: They are all the w(h)iniest! They have their own fruity, nutty, stale sweat and pandering idiocy bouquet, don't compliment food or fun, do not age well and are best left in the bottle on the shelf!
How could I possibly pick?
PERFECT ANSWER, heldmyw
April 2, 2008 - 21:30 ET by Cape ConservativeOf all posted so far, your's is #1!
Rather is whacked out
April 2, 2008 - 08:20 ET by kdizzydazeGot into work early and had a little time so I will get to it:
5. Helen Thomas - She is, in the terms of SNL alum Tina Fey, "crazy old". For that I give her a pass as full on whacked out. Still, she should be put out to pasture.
4. Michael Moore - He is a crazed lard boy that pines for a healthcare system that, if we got it, he would be excluded from due to his morbid obesity. What's the point? Besides this guy being a bit long in the waistband, he is still a businessman and if there was money to be made in making films about the greatness or nobility in being conservative, he would make those movies. Still, he is whacky-dough-dacky.
3. Ted "let's ruin the classics" Turner - He is an atheist (an angry atheist - but aren't they all), thinks 9/11 was an inside job, hates capitalism in all its forms (sure, now that he has billions, he hates it, where was he when he had nothing). This makes him #3. Oh, and the fact that he married Hanoi Jane gives him a solid 3 with a bullet.
2. Keith Olbermann - His hatred for President Bush and all things conservative is obvious. His out and out hit job reporting is ridiculous. He is the typical monday morning QB, who still manages to get it completely wrong, even after the replays. He ends each broadcast with a nightly call out of number of days it has been since President Bush declared "mission accomplished" just to piss the people off that believe going to Iraq was the right thing to do. He is a smug man that clearly is incapable of reason. He has made up his mind and that's that. Olbermann is #2.
1. Dan Rather - He makes up news stories which are found undeniably false and he stands behind them claiming they have merit. What else is needed to determine #1!?!?!? He is the poster boy for modern journalism and the liberalocrat party
Honorable mentions:
Sean Penn, Tim Robbins, Susan Sarandon, Code Pink, 3/4's of "The View", the Today Show, NBC, ABC, MSNBC, NPR, The Tribune Companies, The New York Times, Katie Couric, Bill Moyers, Bob Scheiffer - My hands are hurting so I will stop now.
St. Algore must be spinning
April 2, 2008 - 08:41 ET by HelenSSt. Algore must be spinning in his private jet at the heresy y'all are propogating here! For shame!
P.S. would just like to add to your list of runners up: Dixie Chicks, Christopher Meloni (Law and Order SVU), Vincent D'Onofrio, Sam Waterston...
Can you tell I can't stand Law & Order in any of it's incarnations? I used to watch it but it is so preachy and self righteous any more that I gag when I see it - kind of like walking into a pig barn in the dead of winter in Norway while visiting relatives (a little tid-bit thrown in from my youth by way of illustrating the effect "L&O" has on me.)

Curious
April 2, 2008 - 10:32 ET by ChaitealoverHelen - I'm curious as to why you included the 3 Law and Order actors on your list. Have they been making political statements that I've missed? I don't really hold the actors responsible for the content of the show, that goes to the producer and the writers. I do sometimes watch L&O, Criminal Intent, but only because Vincent D'Onofrio can be such an interesting actor to watch. I generally ignore the story line, though,

Law & ORder
April 2, 2008 - 11:23 ET by HelenSI too enjoyed D'Onofrio because he's so weird in the show but then I started reading stuff about him being so rabidly anti-Bush. And the whiney comments now and then in the show just disgusted me. But mainly I put them in because of what I've read about their activism and comments by the actors themselves in quotes and magazines. Waterston just irritates me because he's such a whiner and nauseatingly self-righteous. Either it's him or his character but either way it irritates me.

Actually
April 2, 2008 - 12:09 ET by ChaitealoverI've stopped reading or watching "celebrity news" because I was reaching the point that I couldn't enjoy most movies or TV shows because I disliked that actors and musicians were being given platforms to spout their [generally] uninformed opinions that we ordinary folks [read Conservatives] are not given. So when certain performers came on the screen, it would spoil the show for me. There are, of course, some performers who have made their political statements so loudly and so frequently that it's impossible to ignore it.
But to give one actor credit: Sunday I saw Janine Turner of Northern Exposure and Strong Medicine on CSPAN. She was at a Clare Booth Luce luncheon and promoting her new book about single mothers throughout history and how they inspired their children [some were widowed, some were separated by war, some were slaves, I don't think she mentioned any single by choice and having a baby anyway types]. She proudly stated that she's a Christian and a Republican. A hard combo in Hollyweird, but she is still getting jobs.

NICE CHOICES...
April 2, 2008 - 08:29 ET by danybhoyLet's be honest folks, all of these people suck, they are all self absorbed jerks who believe the world will come to an end without their special brand of activism. I could do without them.

All of the Above
April 2, 2008 - 09:24 ET by Tom1969caI voted for Olbermann only because he seems to be the one in a position to do the most damage:
Keith Olbermann: nightly cable "news" show
Michael Moore: people have to pay to hear what he thinks, so he's usually preaching to the choir
Dan Rather: retired
Helen Thomas: died in 1986 (if looks are any indication)
Ted Turner: media owner, but not in a position of direct influence on content

April 2, 2008 - 10:01 ET by SmartypantsWow. This was a tough one. I went with Helen Thomas, mainly because I think Olbermann and Moore are both somewhat putting on an act for the benefit of their own careers. Thomas strikes me as someone who is genuinely wacky.

I might have voted for OB, except that he constantly spins towards one topic above all -- George Bush. I would classify OB as the "hater", and Ted as "wacky".
