It was amusing to watch the loaded big rigs driving the Arctic Ocean ice right past the frozen in place ships. Gives whole new meaning to scam doesn't it.
Pay more in taxes and government will pretend to control the weather.
I also noticed that the truckers reverted to their previous forms. Despite all of them starting out on an even playing field, Hugh (Polar Bear) and Alex reached their destinations first. Rick, decked out in a dopey blue Mohawk, continued to prove he was an idiot by not listening to instructions that the speed limit was 50 mph over the Artic ice so he fell way back. And Drew, trying to prove he was no quitter, quit after about a day because he was too impatient to wait his turn for a truck and then quickly regretted quitting.
This season the series is really terrific because of the additional HD cameras and the fact that the setting is the Arctic ocean itself. You break down out there and you are on your own. Not something I would ever do but it does make for some fascinating viewing. Oh, and obviously the ice cap is holding up very well.
The "elites" can't resist any chance to control more of peoples lives that they regard as their inferiors. They want to have their hands on as many buttons and levers of power as they can - even if they have to invent new "reasons" to do so.

There are conscientious people all over the country who regularly use and re-use or recycle and just generally consider themselves to be good stewards of this earth and are teaching their families likewise. We just don't go bonkers and run around crying "the sky is falling" like Henny Penny. Simple steps taken by everyday folks will make a difference.
Al Gore will never compete in this world - he and his ilk all believe it is up to them to deliver the message to OTHERS - and there is no need for them to heed their own message. Just think of all the "talkers" who are NOT "walking the talk" - those with several homes and private planes come to mind immediately. I am not envious...one home is plenty good enough for me! What truly galls me is when they want to tell me what to do in my one home as they gad about here and there without a thought of restricting their own comings and goings.

Let me tell you, it doesn't matter to them whatsoever the science behind this at all. They won't look at anything you point out to them, they don't care that the facts don't support the theory, they don't care that they'll lose freedom or that Al Gore is getting rich - they are just totally brainwashed with this stuff. It's so much apart of their being that you cannot get anything through. I'm asking for some advice here because I have a hard time just giving up a debate but I don't see it doing any good. I'm not changing anyone's mind but what's it going to take when there is a segment of people out there, young and old who ignore facts when making their decisions?
First, forget about trying to persuade anyone on the net. It's pointless.
Second....save your best arguments for those people whom you know and like. They will doubtless be warmers, who are totally snookered by the media and the swill they've lapped up.
Calmly, point out to them the fallacies....no dead baby polar bears, the glaciers aren't receding, there's a big nuke in the sky, like that. Lead them slowly, but inexorably toward the truth.
We have to win this war (on Global Climate Alarmism) one sane person at a time.

Here in North Dakota, we've topped 80 degrees just three times this year (no jokes please). That's far from normal. Record highs this time of year are around 100 degrees, so we should have had at least a dozen or more days in the 80s.
