It has a nice ring to it, too.  I see Hunter kind of a stealth/attack dog like Cheney.

If Hunter is so

If Hunter is so conservative, then why isn't he on the Radar so to speak in the top 4 or 5?  I doesn't make any sense to me, Hunter has a very conservative record.  Why is Thompson in the top 4 and not Hunter?  Any explaination????  Anyone?

Hanlon's Razor: Never attribute to malice that which can be adequately explained by stupidity. dscott's corollary: The line between malice and stupidity is called depraved indifference.

Hunter?

He is not that "name" recognizable yet.  But look at the results.  Huckabee (17%) was off the rader too, for awhile.  He has slowing risen, as compared to McCain, with only 2%, is well known.  It's a long season, and he who starts at the top does not always remain.  Same with the bottom.

v

btw - look at the poll above.  Conservatives rising, RINO's falling.

This

This I think is the answer to your question:

J'ever wonder how certain presidential candidates get to be known as "top-tier" or "electable"?

Author, Daniel Estulin did some checking and found that certain
globalist front organizations are very influential in who gets to be a
"top-tier" candidate for president. Here is what he came up with (from
a news article on the subject):

"The policies [these organizations] develop," [Daniel Estulin] writes, "benefit them as well as move us towards a one-world government."

Those questioning Estulin's conclusion as mere speculation need only recall organizational financer David Rockefeller's own words as recorded in his "Memoirs."

"Some even believe we are part of a secret cabal working against the
best interests of the United States, characterizing my family and me as
'internationalists' and conspiring with others around the world to
build a more integrated global political and economic structure – one world, if you will," he wrote. "If that's the charge, I stand guilty, and I am proud of it."

...

"David Rockefeller, whose family financed the CFR [Council on Foreign Relations], is a common denominator among these parallel groups," writes Estulin. "Not only is he the CFR chairman emeritus, but he also continues to provide financial and
personal support
to the TC [Trilateral Commission], CFR and Bilderberg Group."

Who belongs?

According to a variety of sources, the following presidential candidates are
either members of one of the groups or have strong ties: Hillary Rodham
Clinton
, Rudy Giuliani, Mitt Romney, Barack Obama, John McCain, John
Edwards
, Fred Thompson, Joe Biden, Chris Dodd and Bill Richardson.

Mike Huckabee, though not a member, spoke to the CFR in September. Since
then, his political star has risen to the point that he has become a
top-tier candidate
.

So often throughout recent history it has been the case.

Ever since Democrat Adlai Stevenson challenged Republican Dwight D.
Eisenhower
in 1952 and 1956, the odds have significantly favored those
with membership
in the elite groups.

Interesting

Interesting observation. One could connect the dots in that line of argument.  I'm not sure if I buy into that conspiracy theory since the MSM seems to do a good job of NOT reporting on those who they don't want to be considered by the public.  I believe this more to be a unspoken agreement between liberal propagandists at the networks to not give any if very little air time to those candidates whose ACU record is firmly conservative.  I call it "Deselecting" on the order of the old mind reading card trick.

Hanlon's Razor: Never attribute to malice that which can be adequately explained by stupidity. dscott's corollary: The line between malice and stupidity is called depraved indifference.

I considered a candidacy for this organization.  Your point?

Res tantum valet quantum vendi potest.

Point is...

That many in the media have bought into the CFR agenda (that being a globalist agenda that does not believe in borders or nation states like the USA, just world governance by elites) and that they (the media) show their support for this agenda by spinning their fellow CFR member candidates up and the non-members down. Thus insuring the American voter assumes that certain candidates are more "electable" than others, thereby inducing the voter into voting for a certain candidate that is NOT their first best choice and skewing the elections to the benefit of CFR member candidates; without the average voter noticing that they are undermining American sovereignty by giving power to the CFR agenda.

Ron Paul the next Clinton-enabling Perot?

Clinton would never have won if not for H. Ross Perot siphoning off 20 and 13 percent of the popular vote in '92 and '96.

The HillBilly political machine knows this well, and one has to wonder if Paul won't be the next one to sell his soul to the devil in a third-party run.

BigSpoon65

Ron Paul would not be siphoning votes from the republicans.  He would be taking votes from Hillary's crazy left wingers who are disappointed with her waffling on the war.  Paul is right up their alley.  It would be a reverse Perot.  Maybe the republicans can use him that way against Hillary.

I agree. Any real conservative with an IQ above that of a barn door knows he's kooky. No way the GOP splits over him.

The GOP could split between Fred and Giliuani, but I don't think those two would do that to the party. One would step down.

I have a feeling, in the end, the GOP will go with either Fred or Mike because they cannot afford to lose the religious right. Thus Ron Paul will be up a creek with no paddle.

He's like Ross Perot except he's not very smart and not very conservative.

The way to beat Hillary is with a candidate that runs perpendicular not parallel to Hillary's positions.  That rules out Rudy and Romney.  Both liberals trying to shed their pasts.  Hillary has already kicked Rudy's @ss in his own state for the senate seat she now holds.  If he can't beat her in his own state why should anybody believe he would beat her nationally?  Fred is the only top tier candidate that has never lost an election.  Chew on that fact for awhile.

Hunter = Reagan

Not a lot of people give Hunter credit for being the conservative intellectual that he is. I think he, more than any other, has earned the right to wear the Reagan mantle.

What's the Deal with Hunter

What's the Deal with Hunter anyway, why isn't he getting any kind of traction? Does he have a poor public presence?  Does he just have a crappy campaign manager or is it the MSM has pretty much shut him out to keep anyone from considering him?

Hanlon's Razor: Never attribute to malice that which can be adequately explained by stupidity. dscott's corollary: The line between malice and stupidity is called depraved indifference.

presence

No, I don't think Hunter has a bad public presence (see his vid on the border), the MSM hate him because he actually built the border fence in his state and he would be Reagan all over again, so they prefer to ignore him.

a couple of Duncan Hunter thoughts

He has not changed his positions for the election.

He has been on the Armed Services Commitee in the House for years.

He actually pushed to build the fence.

His son, Duncan Hunter, a marine deployed in Iraq, is running for his dad's House seat.

I am voting for both Duncans.
