It "may" come to MSM if and when he gets any postion in the Obama administration. He was up for AG or like. But, when McCain wins John Edwards would be a simple foot note in history that ended when he pulled out of the POTUS race with nothing after.
Only when the next Republican has a scandal involving a personal failure, which will be on the front page of every newspaper and liberal blog. But by then everyone will conveniently forget the facts of Edward's affair.
This story will get even less coverage than the Juanita Broaddrick story which speaks volumes when you consider how the two events would have been handled if Republicans were involved.
They can't ever allow it to break. If it turns out that one liberal media concocted bigshot hotdog is really a douchebag in real life, everyday people might start to wonder if maybe ALL of the liberal media concocted bigshot hotdogs might also really be douchebags in real life. It could ruin everything for their wonderful feel-good parade of phoniness, with the Obamarama standing to lose the most if so. The story must be shoved aside, ignored, denied and circumvented beyond all other priorities. There are also way too many other liberal media scandals that are threatening to break as well, if any one of them pushes past the wall of silence there could be a floodgate type effect and it all could come gushing out like the failed wall of a septic tank. Imagine the resultant outcry if the reality of liberalism and political correctness were to break loose -- People would realize that the past 20 years of social engineering within our culture was a complete crock of @#$&, and would want their lives back. Edwards, his tramp and their bastard child don't really even matter, what does is the phony facade of respectability that must be maintained at all costs.
If true, by the time the story "breaks" in the MSM, it won't be with the impact of a tidal wave - more like just a small ripple lapping at the shore. They will wait - until somehow it's more or less common knowledge - and let the story's impact peeter out...

Enquirer favorite, how guys from outer space kidnap folks to examine
their sex organs.

Please, please, please explain why the NY Times and CNN broadcast the unfounded rumors about McCain's affair with a lobbyist with even less proof than the NE has right now?
So it's okay to validate a totally false story about McCain because of his past....but eyewitness testimony, hotel records, and the fact that Ms Hunt is known to have had a baby with a strange man are not good enough.

You clearly ignore the fact he was in teh Oval office and other parts of teh White House playing hanky panky with a subordinate. Clearly against workplace guidelines. And not to mention he lied about it under oath to a grand jury while being teh highest officer of teh court and lawmaker around. He committed a felony for his lying. If he would have admitted it it would have died down quickly, sorta like teh non coverage of Edwards.
Really, I think the story might get some traction when one of two things happens:
Obama finally announces his VP choice and it's not Edwards, or;
the election's over and there's no chance of Edwards being included in the next administration - ie Obama lost, or Obama's passed Edwards over for a spot.
But those options weren't available to vote on, so I took 'Never'.

It's too risky right now for the establishment media to report the truth about a fellow-traveller Democrat. Obama's lead has shrunk and is even behind in some polls and thus all Democrats must be cast in a good light. When voters think of Democrats, they want nothing but smiles as far as the eye can see. Besides the media is currently hard at work creating an "October Surprise" to dump on McCain later this fall. I also notice that the media has been unusually silent on McCain's involvement in the Keating 5 scandal from 2 decades ago. I just never hear anyone mention it.They're all just too quiet about it. My thinking is they'll trot it out to "swift boat" McCain a the last minute. And of course the DUI from 47 years ago, the previously unrealesed emails to a congressional pageboy and the hastily typed "anonymous" letter created on Olbemann's PC "proving" McCain's POW experiences were all made up.......... you just watch and wait, the media is not about to lose this election.
Yep...my husband and I were talking about this early this morning...he brought up the Keating Five wondering why there hasn't been anything about his...like you said there is more from the past regarding McCain...
