'T'ain't Over Til It's Over
March 23, 2008 - 17:25 ET by CGattonThere is no give here, between these two. One is the chosen one, the other is the anointed one.

March 23, 2008 - 17:40 ET by NL207As long as neither becomes the 'elected' one.
Amen to that!
March 23, 2008 - 20:48 ET by PamCGatton- that is exactly what this is...May I steal that line!
Look, the Democrats set this system up, and I wouldn't blame either for not dropping out! This is so very fun to watch them fall apart!

March 23, 2008 - 17:38 ET by fitzfongIt will be over when the Pantsuit gets the nomination...and not before.
we need two choices here

It will be decided at the convention.

March 23, 2008 - 18:21 ET by motherbeltGore???? Are you taking over for Lame Cherry???
HRC will have to quit after the PA primary. After all, Bill Richardson told her it's important they have party unity. In other words, shut up woman, and get on board the B&O Railroad!!

March 24, 2008 - 18:51 ET by R D HelmI think Hillary will win enough dels to keep her in it all the way to Denver. Given Obama's reverend problems, the only way she is going to quit now is if she drops dead before the convention.
I think it quite plausible that the chaos that will no doubt ensue in Denver will result in a Gore/Obama ticket.
Booting Hillary off the stage will cause very little damage compared to what will happen if Hillary tries something underhanded to steal the nomination from Obama. I think it possible Fat Albert will be brought in to "heal the rift" so to speak. He has national name recognition, 8 years as VP, and much sympathy on the left after having the election "stolen" from him in 2000, and he hasn't lost anything in recent memory, unlike John Kerry.
I truly believe that if its is Obama or Hillary at the top of the ticket, the dems will go down in flames in November. They just have too many negatives between them.
Even against a candidate as depressingly weak as McCain.

I seriously doubt
March 23, 2008 - 19:52 ET by Cape Conservativethat AG will give up the millions he's making through his "save the earth, send money to me to offset all those carbons you're using" company. Of course, HE can still jet around the world - after all, he owns the company so his carbon offset $$$ are pre-paid ;-)
Of course, he does have an EGO problem, so who knows...maybe he's made enough $$ off those foolish enough to believe "the debate is over" malarkey!
just like my favorite Lame Cherry record....
March 24, 2008 - 06:07 ET by sentforth5Gory/Osam...Obama is what my mind's eye sees. Prolly wrong, but I have to agree with R D and LC!
Agreed
March 23, 2008 - 19:50 ET by candanceIt's over when Hillary says it's over.
Agreed, candance
March 23, 2008 - 19:53 ET by Cape Conservativeshe's got most of us convinced of her "invisibility" I see.

March 23, 2008 - 20:55 ET by motherbeltI've said all along that she'll have to be dragged out of the convention hall by her heels! LOL.
Can you just imagine the (heated?) fury she unleased when she found out that New Mexico upstart Bill Richardson was telling others that the party needed to be "unified" (hint, hint!)?
I would hate to have been a lamp in that house!

March 23, 2008 - 22:01 ET by charlietexasI can't wait till the blacks of America finally see that the democrats are all racist.
I don't know why blacks are in the demo party???? Its just unbelievable..........
Super Deleegates...
March 24, 2008 - 00:04 ET by CapeCodScottIt looks like the Great Idea of Super Delegates may come back an bite the Dems right in the backside. So, if Hillary out maneuvers Obama and by some combination of smoke & mirrors (Plus a few stolen FBI Files) gets the Super Delegates to vote her way, you’ll be able to hear the Rev. Al Sharpton scream all the way from Colorado.
Super Delegates- "Maintaining the illusion of Democracy while Preserving the will of Democrat Leadership since 1982."
Well, what other party
March 24, 2008 - 07:18 ET by Straight8Well, what other party lets you vote as often as they want you to? Even after death. Kind of an indirect immortality.
HRC Not Leaving The Fray
March 24, 2008 - 07:39 ET by donsalesSo long as neither candidate has the necessary delegate count to capture the nomination, Hillary ain't goin nowhere......
By hook or crook, she'll wallow in the mud, sharpen her nails, regurgitate her bile, and make a living hell for the DNC, the party, the Media and anyone else who gets in her way.....
Just ask Bill...........
Nowhere to Run....Nowhere To Hide.....

March 24, 2008 - 11:08 ET by CharliegivI myself would encourage the loser of the nomination to go ahead and make an independent run for office.

March 24, 2008 - 12:08 ET by okiehawk44I don't really care which of these men win the nomination. As the old saying goes "they both put on their pants one leg at a time."
