Why even play this game?
April 17, 2009 - 16:10 ET by mattmWhy even play this game?
Why Not?
April 17, 2009 - 19:02 ET by PopularTechThe MSM tried to make the tea party protesters out to be racists. Everyone was welcome at them. What the MSM should be asking is why people want to pay higher taxes and were not protesting.

April 19, 2009 - 14:38 ET by Jen7no, they weren't racist. But, there certianly were some racist posters. I think a lot of folks didn't really know what they were protesting and/or why. It seemed that the crowds would applaud at just about ANYTHING someone said over the bullhorn.
As you may presently yourself be fully made aware of, my grammar sucks.

Hey Newflash Jen...people that went to the protests had various reasons for going to these....one thing about it sweetheart, they weren't bused and paid by the Unions/ACORN...at the DNC urging beforehand.
This is grassroots...and it will continue to grow...whether you and your ilk want to plug your ears and shield your eyes from the truth baby...just the truth...something the left cannot handle.

I am painfully aware of the fact that blacks in America are knee-jerk Democrats, so I am thinking not a lot of black folks attended any of these TEA Parties.
Does this make me racist, or simply an observant realist?

Since he thinks it's so patriotic to pay taxes, he should (a) give to charity, and (b) don't declare the gifts. Just put down 0 Joe, you can be patriotic too.

April 17, 2009 - 17:18 ET by Junk Science Skeptic1. Does anybody here, right or left, actually think a non-african guy named Jose Martinez, Kenji Lee, or Bob Smith, who was otherwise 100% the same as Obama in experience, ability, and political mindset, would have actually been elected?
. . . So, electing an inexperienced, incapable, extremist candidate SOLELY because he was black and the media propped him up is just as racist as not voting for a competent candidate SOLELY bechause he/she was black.
2. Ronald Reagan could have come back from the dead, been joined by the Pope, and if together they approved a porkulus bill and budget identical to Obama's, there still would have been nearly a half-million taxpayers raising hell on the 15th.

April 17, 2009 - 17:38 ET by mikepatrAnswer A seems to indicate if you simply dislike Obama, than thaat automatically makes you a racist. If I simply dislike Whoopi Goldberg... does that make me a racist? If I simply dislike Ellen Degeneres does that make me a homophobe? What if I simply disliked Rick Warren or the Pope? Does that make me an enemy of Christianity?
We've had quite enough of this pinhead logic from the leftists. It is their #1 weapon and nobody in charge seems to have the cahones to stand up and call their hand on it publically and for what it is... a disgusting despicable lie and a slander on millions of Americans.

April 17, 2009 - 19:40 ET by HeavyChevyNow THAT is interesting. You sound very unique almost "minority" like. You dear friend my qualify for an entitlement of unspecified amount of money.
You lucky mushroom baby.
We will see
April 17, 2009 - 18:23 ET by general companyBut I am getting the feeling that the further left the media/Obama Admin gets the more they are helping us out. They are even starting to scare blue dogs, and minorities. Unfortunatly, Congress are the ones that need some fear wrought through them.
My Gov. thinks I am dangerous, so be careful

I said something similar on another blog GC
April 17, 2009 - 18:38 ET by HeavyChevyLet the MSM keep on doing this, it just work to help our cause.
We should prbably keep quiet about this
April 17, 2009 - 18:41 ET by general companyThey might wise up? Nah, that aint happening.

hardly racist - but anti spending-socialist
April 17, 2009 - 19:11 ET by cy_babeI get sooooo tired of the worn out mantra of the left 'He hasn't increased taxes, in fact you may get more money back' Hogwash! Unless the basic principles of math have changed, the 10 trillion has to come from somewhere. Either the government MUST raise taxes or else, inflation will adjust for the extra cash in the system. If the current GDP is approximately 14 trillion and BHusseanO pumps 7 trillion unvalued buck (that is money he is printing and not stealing Whoops taxing US of A) then, our money is worth approximately 1/2 what it is before the unprincipled spending. It is Immoral, it is Unethical. It is the worst kind of tax and it is the start of Socialism. We gotta stop this movement toward socialism.
Schew, glad I got that out… that was my ‘other’
Combine two and three
April 17, 2009 - 20:11 ET by KHalpernI voted "other" because I would have liked to have voted for a combination of Nos. 2 and 3 because I believe that most accurately describes what the tea parties represented.
Yes, actually, we are all racists now.
April 17, 2009 - 20:36 ET by CKA in Red State USAThat's because Obama and his thugs and thugettes who control the advocacy/adversary media have defined us that way.
As long as they have those still-mainstream outlets with lots of America, they've defined up as down.
And no matter how much we protest, they will never budge.
They live what they believe: Say it long enough, sling it long enough and lies will gain legs.
Face it: The cultural split in America is now irreparable. There's no reason to try to reason with the liberals and leftists.
Really, there's no need to even respond further to what they say about us.
It's as if we've now let them define us and we spend so much precious time reacting.
It's time to ignore them and to take action that produces results.
Their strategy of distraction is working.
And we're suckers to keep falling for it.
Definitely time to ignore
April 17, 2009 - 23:21 ET by AlanaDefinitely time to ignore them. Past time. I've spent the last year discovering you can't reason with them.
Face it: The cultural

Absolutely, and it's about time.
Prepare. Network. Study. Train. Worship. Unite. Survive.
I didn't think I would
April 17, 2009 - 21:44 ET by ConservativeRexI didn't think I would have to explain this on Newsbusters but here goes...I don't like obama, I will never like obama, I absolutely want his policies to fail and fail miserably. I want his dog to get fleas.
This does not make me a racist. Fact is, this makes me sensible. However, if the libs want to call me a racist for what I believe, I am not alarmed by that. As I have stated before, calling anyone a racist these days is like calling someone a 'poopypants'. It is a four-year old's way to argue, it let's real racist skate, and renders the word meaningless. But, to you libs, go ahead, keep using it.
Not a racist...
April 18, 2009 - 00:00 ET by ScrapironYou can't be a racist as liberal describe racism. O'Dumbo is no more black than I am. Half white/Half Arab so the liberals may as well bend over and kiss they're a** goodbye. He'll take from and destroy you also.
Old, Retired and glad of it.
Tea Parties About Individual Rights
April 17, 2009 - 21:56 ET by Retired GeekThe more powerful Liberalism becomes, the less it will be tolerant.
The main goal of Liberalism is the destruction of Individual Rights. Individual Rights are the 'First Line of Defense' against a Totalitarian Government.
Barack Obama's Clarion Call, 'Sacrifice for the Common Good', is proof positive that Liberalism demands 'Collective Rights' rather than 'Individual Rights'.
Comrades! We must abolish the cult of the individual decisively, once and for all." -- Soviet Premier Nikita S. Khrushchev, addressing the 20th Congress of the Soviet Communist Party, 2-25-56
"The unity of a nation's spirit and will are worth far more than the freedom of the spirit and will of an individual; and that the higher interests involved in the life of the whole must here set the limits and lay down the duties of the interests of the individual." -- Adolph Hitler
"We need to stop worrying about the rights of the individual and start worrying about what is best for society." -- Hillary Clinton
"...we understand only the individual's capacity to make sacrifices for the community, for his fellow men." -- Adolf Hitler, 10-7-33
"We're going to take things away from you on behalf of the common good." -- Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton, June 28, 2004.
"To be a socialist is to submit the I to the thou; socialism is sacrificing the individual to the whole." -- Joseph Goebbels, Minister of Propaganda, National Socialist German Workers' ("Nazi") Party
"...true patriotism also means a willingness to sacrifice for our common good..."
Barack Obama July 6, 2008
Barack Obama believes the 'Destruction of Individual Rights', will pave the way for a Liberal 'Totalitarian Government'.
well done, geek.
April 18, 2009 - 07:34 ET by clinging to my guns and my religioni wish i could write that they just don't get that strong individual rights and freedoms are responsible for a strong america, but unfortunately, they do get it. they get it big time!
"i believe he will not stop until we are all jobless, homeless, hungry, and cold!"
Attended a TEA party,,
April 17, 2009 - 23:50 ET by ScrapironSince I live in a small town I knew a lot of the 400 attendee's. There were several old time (not O'Dumbo) democrats there. I think all but three of the blacks in the county are life long welfare riders so they (welfare riders) wouldn't show. They love higher taxes since it's a bigger pot of welfare. Bang out another kid by the first person who walks by and increase your income. What a country.
Old, Retired and glad of it.
Other
April 18, 2009 - 00:26 ET by CooltomA lot more white Democrats voted FOR Obama based solely on his race than white Rebublicans voted against Obama based solely on his race. Who are the racists?
I hate Obama. I am NOT a racist.
April 18, 2009 - 05:19 ET by ArchConservativeI have not read all the comments here but what I really don't like about the poll question is that it links being against Obama with being a racist. Are we to understand that if we don't like Obama and his policies that we hate blacks? I think that NewsBusters has jumped the shark with this one. Another conservative institution has shown a crack of stupidity. Let's hope it doesn't destroy the building.
You support the troops by supporting the mission! If you don't support the mission, have the guts to say you don't support the troops.
Obama: Not my President. Ever.
First of all....
April 18, 2009 - 08:35 ET by sam12663Barack Obama IS NOT BLACK!!! He is biracial, so therefore you would have to dislike whites as much as blacks to be racist in this instance. With that said; I am pro- life, pro- second amendment, anti big government, and against ILLEGAL immigration. I don't like Obama, or, Pelosi, or Reid, or Frank, or Dodd, or Biden, or Geithner, so what does that make me? Under the new DHS directive, I guess I am a right wing extremist. I will wear that badge proudly!
President Obama is nothing more than a empty suit; a Hollywood
style special effects smoke and mirrors show that has shown itself to
be a total fraud.
WAKE UP AMERICA! SAVE OUR CONSTITUTION!
I wonder how many Bush haters were bigots?
April 18, 2009 - 09:05 ET by CrashAlright you whacked out Kool-Aid chugging YES-ers. Does Michael Steele's "dislike" for Obama have anything to to with race or policy!? Could it be that caucasians who dislike Obama simply don't like Pelosi, Reid, Frank, Napolitano, Waxman and Obama's leftist policies? When a magazine cover glows that "We're All Socialist Now"; which ignited a firestorm of dissent from conservatives, moderates and independents alike. Skin color is just a dodge for narrow minded, witless prigs who made the tea parties into a fag joke rather than reporting on a story and covering the story of the week.
Yes the Tea Parties were racist...
April 20, 2009 - 10:44 ET by carolina conservativeI'm a conservative, apparently EVERYTHING I do is racist. I came to work today - RACIST. I ate dinner last night - RACIST. I planted a garden Saturday - RACIST...
short and to the point
April 20, 2009 - 13:01 ET by RD KingI attended my local party and the message was short and to the point, both sides have sold out the American people in the successful effort to pad their own pockets. The theme of the party was way too much taxation, the points made were we want the fair tax, term limits for all gov't servants and that we have a person in the oval office taking the country in the wrong direction as far as taxes, the economy and the American way of life.
I can't say that there is anything here that I disagree with.
