He ate up similar comments by an attractive comedian at the Spirit Awards. She also thought he was an idiot for saying that Hollywood was responsible for solving a bunch of world problems. I can't remember exactly what he said but it was really stupid.
I used to love to look forwrd to the Oscars with great anticipation, you also used to do something called go to the movies, which was a great treat back then for some of us, almost a luxury to have the money to spare plus the cost of a baby-sitter....we didn't have VCR's or DVD's then or place to rent a movie instantly or HBO/Star repeats of the movie if you just waited long enough...let alone pay per view...it was fun hoping for the movie you liked best, plus the actors you hoped for to win ect...
That is until Marlon Brando and his spokesperson Sacheen Littlefeather...for me the Oscar's has been nothing but a political show one way or the other since then...I may catch part of it towards the end now then if I remember and nothing else is on...
