Hansen and all other anti-oil, Global Warming fanatics (like Al Gore), should be banned from all forms of combustion travel, and have their combustion vehicles confiscated.

Of course oil execs should be tried for crimes against humanity. So should anybody who ever owned an automobile.

And so should people who ever rode in a car.

And that goes as well for people who just even looked at a car on the road with lust in their heart because they are only justifying the ideological hegemony of the "other."

He should be given a life sentence as the official shoe shine boy for the "big oil" executives.

I chose that he should apologize and keep his job.

I think it would cause him more pain to have to apologize than would just simply firing him.  He'd just consider himself a martyr if he were just fired.  Like we need that.

Of course, if he shows no sign of contrition upon having to swallow his pride and continues his BS, THEN can his arse.

and Al Gore be put in jail for fraud and racketeering.

If I believed in reincarnation, I would say that this guy Hansen was one of the Roman Catholic bishops who was condemning Galileo for telling them that we lived in heliocentric solar system and showing them the evidence to prove it.

This man should be fired post-haste for at the very least, incompetence and at the worst, fraud.  I believe it is the latter.  He claims to be a scientist, yet he allows his personal orthodoxy/ideology to dictate his beliefs not the evidence or lack thereof, and that makes him a fraud.  We jail all snake oil salesmen, don't we?  Especially when they are taking a government paycheck (i.e., taxpayer money).

And if it's the former, he should be taken out of the building by security right this minute.  If he can't look at the evidence and come up with the right conclusion, how can he be trusted to make intelligent decisions?  That puts an entire program and everyone who has to go in harm's way in danger.  Would you allow an incompetent doctor perform surgery on your child?  Of course not!
