As soon as he resigns?
Mon, 11/17/2008 - 10:16 ET by motherbeltHe should quit his show as soon as he resigns?
Isn't that the same thing?
What am I missing here?
mb, I was looking for the, Quit now, and don't run button?

Why would he quit...?
Mon, 11/17/2008 - 10:18 ET by superconI hardly think anyone at MSNBC would have a problen with Matthews using his network to launch his political career. He'd be crazy to quit.
Why quit?
Mon, 11/17/2008 - 10:30 ET by allanfWhy quit? The rules are different for Democrats. Absent a Federal Law or rule that makes him step down, it is okay for him to stay on since he is a Democrat.
He has a good shot at beating Arlen Spector.
Why should he...

Do you people not realize there are different rules for "The Enlightened Ones"...

I would prefer to allow him to remain with his biased limited viewer position. A good leftist.

He should run for
Mon, 11/17/2008 - 10:32 ET by clubchamp6He should run for Senate....People in Pa have proven they will elect anyone...especially if you call them racist and rednecks. It will be great we will have Al Franken and Chrissy in the Senate then all we will need to do is get fat a$$ Olby and his male counterpart Racheal Madcow elected and all will be ok.
Honestly, I think he will
Mon, 11/17/2008 - 10:35 ET by SeashellHonestly, I think he will quit. Even Chris Matthews will realize what a conflict of interest that would be. I think he will try and cut a deal of some kind to get his job back if he loses.
He should Quit Regardless
Mon, 11/17/2008 - 12:55 ET by MeanderingPersonnally, I feel he should quit (or the network should drop his show) no matter if he runs or not. He's an idiot with a weird tingly feeling in his leg for Obama. That's stalker-ish material there.
don't watch. don't
Mon, 11/17/2008 - 12:59 ET by katainkentdon't watch. don't care.

"don't watch, don't care"
Mon, 11/17/2008 - 13:14 ET by ScrapironFor me that includes the entire network. Never on in my home. If you want to watch garbage go to the dump and watch the seagulls eat.
Old, Retired and glad of it.
Well of course he should,
Mon, 11/17/2008 - 13:06 ET by bigtimerWell of course he should, but he won't, remember he is there to make sure this Presidency of O's works...plus of course msnbc is nothing but a free paid for campaign venue for all leftists everywhere...and nothing will be done about it...ever.

only if???
Mon, 11/17/2008 - 13:08 ET by foolnomorethis would be so good, maybe he can take "O'dermazter" too.
(1) he should quit; (2) he should not run
Mon, 11/17/2008 - 13:10 ET by lotr1. He should quit his show regardless of whether he runs for the Senate or not.
2. He shouldn't run for Senate. If he so desperately wants to get into politics, he should shoot for something a little more commensurate with his atrophying intellect, perhaps "community organizer."
And one by one dropped the revellers in the blood-bedewed halls of their revel, and died each in the despairing posture of his fall. -- Edgar Allan Poe
He needs the job
Mon, 11/17/2008 - 14:08 ET by docjohn52His eletric leg must be tingling again.
Wish I had a 'Spidey Sense'!
Should Matthews Quit?
Mon, 11/17/2008 - 16:04 ET by Kathy_KUnless the democrats rewrite the laws governing fairness in the press, Chris Matthews will be forced to resign. Anyone recall when, "Law and Order" episodes featuring Fred Dalton Thompson were pulled when he ran for President?
It's going to be interesting watching the, "spine-robbing" democrats and press toy with the First Ammendment, and how far they will go to King Obama.
When writing about Matthews
Mon, 11/17/2008 - 21:44 ET by ConservativeRexWhen writing about Matthews I usually end up refering to a "rats red butt" as in how much I care what he does.
Let this pompous axe run for
Mon, 11/17/2008 - 22:32 ET by semolina_filcherLet this pompous axe run for the PA Senate. The same PA voters whom Murtha called racists and the same PA voters whom BO called clinging to guns and religion are dumb enough to vote for someone who is clearly a "well intentioned" Democrat.
Thought this would be
Tue, 11/18/2008 - 00:22 ET by maggieqpublicThought this would be ‘don’t care’ by a wide margin.
It's best for the nation
Sat, 12/06/2008 - 03:07 ET by semolina_filcherIt's best for the nation that he quit MSNBC and don't run for the PA Senate seat...we've had enough shrillness to carry us for the next four years.
