Just got a call from the comrade Obama campaign. They called to tell me where to vote. I asked them for whom I should vote and then asked for a ride. They said Obama and offered to pick me up. Ah, the wonders of socialism. I don't know how anyone has survived without government running his life.---- America is in deep soup, folks. Sad.

listening to Rush right now and then the radio is going off too. I don't want to hear any of their bull.
I'm going out to dinner and a movie tonight so that I'm not tempted to turn anything on. I'll get home around 9:30 or 10:00 and I'm hoping I can still resist until tomorrow morning. If by chance Obama wins I don't want to watch any of those hate mongers celebrating.
If he does win there will be dancing in the streets of Pakistan & Iran (the same as after 9/11) and all over the world which is bad enough, but I don't want to see one bit of that Chicago spectacle.
I still have faith that the American people will vote for McCain in large enough numbers to overcome all the voter fraud, but it's impossible to know for sure, so I'm not subjecting myself to it.
I wish I could come here, but unfortunately I know the liberals will be out. I liked Dave's idea to have a 1 day ban on them. It won't happen though so after 4:00 or 5:00 I'm not coming anywhere near here either.
Hey Dee...you aren't alone...I am not going to be getting anywhere near here either after my husband gets home, and I won't listen to the television either anymore for quite a few hours, after Rush I will listen to Dobbs or Hannity...I am sick of the msm...I have had enough after a few hours this morning.
I moat likely won't be here tomorrow either depending on what happens tonight....plus I am keeping the phone off...messages only.
We are getting our first snow here today, so I am trying to look at that as a good Omen...

I'll try posting this again, I am having problems here this morning...anyway, I picked the second choice....I have never seen anything in my life like I have since early this morning on television, especially msnbc...they may as well already crown Obama and party on...especially the giddy Mika B. it has sickened me....
I Just heard Haley Barbour put it well, this is the longest wet kiss I have ever seen, regarding the msm and Obama...
He said it ALL!

I caught some of MSNBC's coverage this morning and was sick to my stomach. MSNBC, along with its sister "nutworks", have thrown any shred of credibility along the way down the sewer with its toadying to Mr. Obama.
If Mr. Obama wins tonight, the MSM will be beside itself with glee, fawning over "history" and all other kinds of rubbish. Worse still, they'll be preaching to us about how great and accurate polls are. I don't know who'll be actually worse - Mr. Obama or the MSM!
Both are equally damaging to the USA...but the msm is the worst in my opinion, since they have put both candidates in where they are now in my opinion...
If Obama wins tonight and the msm calls it early for Obama before the rest of the nation has voted, like they will, I am making drinks...and hopefully passing out early...haven't had a hang-over in years...but I will tomorrow.
Btw...I never thought I would ever experience anything worse with the msm... the Clinton Machine and his reelection...this is the mother of them all...
"America isn't the problem...America is the solution." ~Rush Limbaugh
It's something we are already used to, main stream press fawning over Obama's messianic messages. After four years of failed Obaman policies, will they still be fawning over his scandalous mess? That should send a tingle up Chrissy Matthews butt.
...who are out of work and collecting unemployment benefit checks whether they are against socialism? Those dang socialists and their safety nets for everyone! Damn them to hell!(sarc on)
unemployment benefit checks - Are paid for through worker contributions. The key is if you have not worked you cant collect and you only collect a small amount. It is insurance taht is paid for by teh worker. It is not welfare which is what you want. There is a difference Uber.
It is also not forever and should not be, whereas welfare handouts are.
Are you saying the worker should pay into a system creating a "safety net" for all workers who find themselves out of a job? Hmmm...Was this idea created by the owners of businesses or the unions of workers who worked for the businesses? You can't have it both ways, Dan. Either you're for or against "safety nets".
Your arrogance is only superceded by your ignorance.
Dan was neither saying he was in favor or against, only clarifying how it works.
Furthermore, unemployment does have finality. It is intended to assist people while they find another job; it is not intended to be life support. Also, if you get FIRED, you are not eligible for unemployment; that has to do with personal responsibility.
If conservatives are RIGHT, then liberals must be WRONG.
Obama's proposals are, by definition, NOT for the betterment of everyone. He has:
explicitly targeted "the rich", whomever they may actually turn out to be, for a tax soaking.
proposed to increase capital gains on principle residences to 40%.
proposed to nationalize all health care, thereby taking care away from some of those who have earned it to give it to some of those who did not earn it.
proposed to revive the 'fairness doctrine' to censor political opponents.
explicity stated he will abandon support for Israel and instead support the Muslims.
impose a carbon cap and trade scheme which economists conservatively estimate will double the cost of electricty in America.
continue the oil production ban.
continue government subsidy of failed alternative fuels plans.
continue government subsidies of failed alternative electricity schemes.
proposed amnesty for all illegal aliens.
If he accomplishes all of the above, we should see the following effects: Israel destroyed by a Nuclear attack, a major depression, and tghe extinction of political and economic liberty in America. But fools like you label all this as the betterment of everyone.
Obama's proposals are, by definition, for the betterment of everyone. He has:
explicitly targeted the top 5% of the population (>$250k/year) for an increase of 3% in their taxes.
proposed to increase capital gains on principle residences to 40%. Capital gains taxes are a non-issue for the majority of Americans.
proposed to nationalize all health care insurance, thereby taking care away
from some of those who have earned it to give it to some of those who did not earn it.- Are you kidding? You should never have to earn health care. 300 million Americans as a group should be able to compete for better Health Insurance.
proposed to revive the 'fairness doctrine' to censor political opponents.- Fair and Balanced is what you want correct?
explicity stated he will abandon support for Israel and instead support the Muslims.- Uh-oh, sounds like he's a Mooslim instead of a Christian
impose a carbon cap and trade scheme which economists conservatively estimate will double the cost of electricty in America.-McCain supports this also.
continue the oil production ban.-Obama supports limited oil production.
continue government subsidy of failed alternative fuels plans.-Think Pickens.
continue government subsidies of failed alternative electricity schemes.-Think Pickens.
proposed amnesty for all illegal aliens.-McCain is McAmnesty.
If he accomplishes all of the above, we should see the following
effects: Israel destroyed by a Nuclear attack(Really?), a major depression(Thanks to Bush), and
the extinction of political and economic liberty in America(only the shrinking of social conservative platforms). But
fools like you label all this as the betterment of everyone.-Change is here...A rising tide floats all ships, unless you continue to cling to the anchor of the GOP party boat.

Seriously, your reality is "uberconian" Schadenfreude!
What don't you understand about the word, 'everyone'? Everyone is just that, everyone, no exceptions. If Obama's programs hurt ANYONE, then they are not for the betterment of everyone.
I have clearly shown that his programs will harm literally millions. Therefore the proposition that his programs are for the betterment of everyone is simply false.
Gosh...it's gotta be this or that and nothing in between for you and the rest. Will his programs actually "hurt" the top 5% of the population? Will they become destitute and seen in bread lines? Will they fall through the cracks and become the "40%" of the population that does not pay into the system? Will they lose the security and freedoms they enjoy now? It's painful to watch you twist this tax increase on the top 5% into something so painful for the middle class, yet, they will benefit the most. It's okay, if it goes well, you'll be fine. If it doesn't, the Dems will still be able to blame the Repubs for the problems Bush created...Nothing like blaming a minority...the GOP knows all to well how it works...
Make the end result fit what you want to believe is true. Sorry, vrwc, as I read the article I saw right through the mistakes of flawed reasoning. It's fun trying to prove a point by way of an flawed way of thinking...it's still flawed. I pointed out the mathematical errors in his argument, what would you like me to see...WMD's buried in the Iraqi sand by way of your x-ray glasses?

The only people who want Obamunist the "Wealth Spreader" are the welfare folks. My American dream has no place for a government dictating the level of success I am allowed to achieve! No thanks! Obamunism will be rejected!
Thomas Jefferson~ "I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them".
It will only hurt 5% of the population? Where have we heard that malarkey before?
The entire point of the US Constitution is to limit the authority of government such that a majority of the people are unable to use government sanctioned force to bully or damage a minority of the population. The the extent Obama proposes to do this, he is a tyrant. To the extent you agree with him, you are also a tyrant. Sic semper tyrannis.
Beyond the issue of tyranny, it is simple nonsense to suppose that Obama's destructive program is going to harm only 5% of the populace. It is naive to suppose it will provide a net benefit to 95% of the populace. Obama is like every other Marxist to come before him: the enemy of the people.
A case in point: Obama's nationalized healthcare program MUST by definition, RATION, healthcare. Why? Because the present capacity is short by about 6% for prevention, etc. Those 6% are at present working poor. [the indigent are fully provided for by welfare]. The Obama plan will not provide one iota of new healthcare services. It will redistribute those that exist already. Perforce, to provide anything for those 6%, something must be taken, by force, from those who have paid for it themselves. Waiting lists. Rationing. Denial of services. Direct harm AT RANDOM to the vast majority who pay for their own care.
Obama's economic plan is even worse. I'll let you think about that for a moment.
the only thing we will ever agree on Uber, but I got Barry by 7 1/2 in the popular vote. I think the electoral college will be close, but Barry comes out on top. Far from a landslide, but a win is all it takes for them to have their "mandate" from the people.
If you make people think they're thinking, they'll love you; But if you really make them think, they'll hate you.
Disenfranchised democrats will decide this election. The republican base is united, the democrats are not. History will reveal that Barack Obama lost this race the day he chose his VP. Had he picked Hillary the race would have been over long ago. Millions of lifelong democrats are voting for McCain in this election. Pay no attention to exit polls and don't watch the television today. Tomorrow when the propaganda smoke clears, the real president will be revealed. Let me start early:
Sarah Palin for Pres in 2012! Where do I send my contribution? LOL
Thomas Jefferson~ "I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them".
Comrades. Looks like Barry will win. We really need to start preparing. Drop all subscriptions to newspapers and magzines. Boycott the sponsors who advertise on the MSM. When you write to them--greet them as Comrade. When you write to Congress---greet them as Comrade. Many other ways to protest. Think about it.
Turn off your TV today. Go vote and then stay away from all media outlets until tomorrow. It's not over until we say it is!
Thomas Jefferson~ "I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them".
Florida (Broward County, specificially) has been so totally toasted, first by the hanging/pregnant chads of the 2000 election, then by those replacement electronic machines in 2004.....so here is how I voted today.
I waited in line for two and half hours. My id was checked, scanned, and apparently verified against the state database. I signed an electronic pad. I was then given a slip of paper with my name, addy, date of birth, party designation, and a facsimile of my electronic signature. Then I went to another table. I was given a pink pre-numbered (as opposed to green) slip of paper to sign again.
Then I was given a four page, larger than legal size, front and back ballot, a clipboard, and a pen. I proceeded to bubble in my choices. After a few minutes, one of FIVE voting "tables" (with privacy sides) opened up and I finished bubbling in my ballot. I then proceeded to a machine and fed, one by one, the pages of the ballot.
I ask you, is this any way to run a railroad? They could have had a room with fifty or a hundred places to vote, with the same number of poll workers. Granted, I understand the need to restrict the access to the ballots, but 5 people at a time?
Now, for the good news. Only McC signs at the polling place, several of the voters had on McC shirts, and the pink slip stubs outnumbered the green ones by about five to one. Of course, this is EASTERN Broward....all the Obamamamas are out west, so this county will go heavily dem. Also, there were no "pollsters" for me to lie to, either.
And on a funny note, my neighbor drove up and we chatted for a bit....her second trip to check the lines. She left and decided to come back later. So if Obama wins by one vote here, I know who to blame! (Yeah, I called her when I got home, the line is now down).
Hey Blonde, 3 minutes or so for me. Why the heck would election officials visibly designate voters by party at the station, if that is indeed what they were doing? Is this happening all over FL? Seems like a bad idea to me.
They've been segretating us by party here as long as I can remember. Before the ID swiping (driver's license required) thing, you walked in, and there were two tables, Republican and Democrat (maybe 3...Independent?)....where you walked up to the appropriate sign A - F, G - R, etc.
I would imagine it IS happening all over Florida.
Oh yeah, after they swipe your ID, you have to verbally TELL them what your addy is. So I am glad about that part of the process....they are verifying that you are who you say you are. But the rest of it (bubbling in the ballot 5 people at a time) was nuts!

November 4, 2008 - 15:10 ET by Dee Bunklistening to Rush right now and then the radio is going off too.

I moat likely won't be here tomorrow either depending on what happens tonight....plus I am keeping the phone off...messages only.

MSNBC: disgraceful
November 4, 2008 - 13:22 ET by Mary Louise TurnerI caught some of MSNBC's coverage this morning and was sick to my stomach.

November 4, 2008 - 13:33 ET by bigtimerMLT...
Btw...I never thought I would ever experience anything worse with the msm... the Clinton Machine and his reelection...this is the mother of them all...

from some of those who have earned it to give it to some of those who
did not earn it.- Are you kidding? You should never have to earn health care. 300 million Americans as a group should be able to compete for better Health Insurance.

November 4, 2008 - 16:12 ET by UberconNL207,
Gosh...it's gotta be this or that and nothing in between for you and the rest.

November 4, 2008 - 16:31 ET by NL207It will only hurt 5% of the population?
Sound familiar?

Well, I just got back from voting
November 4, 2008 - 14:56 ET by BlondeWelcome to 1976 folks.
In his own words (19 seconds): This man is qualified to be VP?
Hey Blonde, 3 minutes or so
November 4, 2008 - 15:01 ET by HermanoHey Blonde, 3 minutes or so for me. Why the heck would election officials visibly designate voters by party at the station, if that is indeed what they were doing? Is this happening all over FL? Seems like a bad idea to me.

Back atcha Hermano!
November 4, 2008 - 15:20 ET by BlondeThey've been segretating us by party here as long as I can remember.
In his own words (19 seconds): This man is qualified to be VP?
