So it was hard to pick but the last one gave me a chuckle. It comes down to which one I hear pounded out day after day. With the radio ads California runs for the nanny state about energy/AGW (inextricably entwined for them) all day long I sometimes can't even listen to talk radio any longer. The other "issues" are easier to avoid.

Bush lied was always my favorite. They pounded that during the election 2004. To this day, I get a chuckle when driving and see those Kerry/Edwards stickers still displayed. Makes me wanna roll down the window and ask them if they saw that Vietnam movie Kerry starred in cause his hair looked great in it.....not as good as Edwards.......but good.

Those against illegal immigration are "against immigrants."

It's particularly disgusting because it openly implies racism.

Global warming may or may not be true but "mankind caused global warming" is the myth, but I had to vote for the 9/11 truthers as THAT has to be the most untruthful and damaging lie being promoted and it is believed by 1 in 3 dems

I had to go with 9-11 being an inside job.  Actually, that one is beyond annoying and well into irritating, especially with all the debunking that has been going on.

Global warming, especially anthropogenic global warming ...well, there are some scientists out there saying it's going on, and they've written some papers and produced some graphs, and the media don't bother providing the people the counter-arguments, so that one is understandable.  Annoying, but understandable.

The media hasn't bothered to report on the chemical weapons that have been found in Iraq in an effort to maintain the "Bush lied" template.  In that, the media has lied by omission.  Those  portable labs that were found in the first few weeks of the invasion was clear evidence of ongoing research and development of chemical weapons.  Does anyone here really believe that they were being used for R&D and manufacture of insecticides?

Somehow, because one is conservative, they either don't read, or there is some ballyhooed study (to justify the benefits of Nanny State Socialism, no doubt) "showing" that Liberals are smarter than conservatives.  Those who make the latter accusation especially exhibit all of the traits they smugly accuse the conservatives of having. 

From all I have seen, the Leftists get their talking points, and repeat them day and night, without thinking about them or bothering to at least figure out where they come from.  That, and the most robust, serious policy debates are not to be found within the Left, or even between Right and Left: it is to be found between Rightists.

Most annoying myth: That Isiah Thomas knows what he's doing.

Before that becomes a lie or a distortion you have to define what mission was in view.

• Was it the carrier’s mission?  If so it was accomplished.
• Was it the military conquest of Iraq? (end of major combat)  If so it was accomplished.
• Was it the pacification and establishment of a self sustaining government in Iraq?  If so that was not accomplished.   

 Taken in the context of that day, I thought it was the carrier's statement.  But then again it could be the second option.  The third option is completely unsupportable but that is the way far lefties and Dimocrats have taken it.
