The latest Rush pseudo-scandal is stunning in its brazenness. Millions of people heard what Rush really said as he said it. Thousands, if not millions, have the audio stored on their computers or Ipods in the form of Rush's podcast. The lie is easily disproved, and yet some liberal idiots press on.
When you put the clowns in charge, don't be surprised when a circus breaks out.
I gotta use military terms to explain why the Left is getting so frantic these days, witness the outright fraud committed by Media Matters, New York Times, Boston Globe, NBC News, etc)
When a military force in the defense is about to be overrun by a superior force, the commanders last order is for his troops to do what we call "Firing the FPL and FPF."
When you fire an FPL, all of the machine gunners mounted on tripods move their guns to a specific azimuth and elevation sited for last ditch defense and hold down the triggers until the barrels melt, they run out of ammuntion, or the enemy attacks back is broken.
An FPF is a presurveyed artillery point extremely close (or in rare cases on top of) the defending force that is danger close. The artillery units supporting that mission will fire every single round of ammunition that they can lay their hands-on until either ordered to stop by the defending unit commander or they literally run out of ammunition. I used to have a forward observer who in training used to say that when we see parachute flares impacting on the ground around our position, then the game is nearly up.
What I am witnessing from the liberal media is that they realize that the conservatives have them pinned down reference the war, the economy, and social issues, and they alternative medias are taking over.
The Liberals are literally "Firing the FPF" as we speak.

All of the Above. ESPECIALLY being that the republicans have basically been walking around with a 'kick me' sign on their backs and not doing anything about it. Friggin wussies
These are coups and were planned in advance several years ago by the Clintonistas (this will include the superstructure of the DNC, CIA communists, George Soros, the media and the PACS)
Their first targets were the real Conservatives in Congress. George Allen was taken out as he was their nightmare candidate in winning the 2008 election. Others had the FBI raid their homes to what is now the current "outing" of sodomites.
I warned here yesterday the sodom has yet to hit the fan as part of this David Brock outing is to go after every "homosexual" from Mitch McConnell to Condi Rice in "outing them". The purpose of this is to fragment the Christians from the GOP.
(As I blogged yesterday, I do not trust Focus on the Family in James Dobson as he is pushing this fracturing and has been doing nothing but pushing people like gay backer Harrier Miers to his current attacks on Fred Thompson. His "right wing" agenda is about as bogus as Ron Paul's who if you examine his anti death penalty, let criminals out of prison, get out of Iraq etc... all sound exactly like Hillary Clinton.)
The media coup in this started in Rush Limbaugh's viagra sorte which was a deliberate sting operation against this sometimes stupid man. The current slam is in Media Matters lying about O'Reilly and Limbaugh along with other "conservatives in media".
As stated, Larry Craig was set up and outed. Do not think for a moment that "a world known homosexual pick up spot being touted online was not sent to Craig knowing he travels though Minneapolis. He took the bait, the cartel sat on it for 3 months and then initiated it.)
They are coming after Josh Bolten and several others besides those mentioned above in "outing" them.
This "other" is what is behind this. This is a Soviet style search, divide and destroy campaign by this socialist communist globalist order. They put these plans into action in formulating them about the time Hillary ran for Senate and won.
They have other tricks planned which are about to be played out. Right now you are seeing the exact camps in this. Chris Matthews is working for Al Gore exclusively while Wolf Blitzer is working for the "order" in total. He put his neck on the line in this as did some of the grovelling underlings like that Chetry babe trying to move up the ladder.
Logic would dictate for Wolf to "do the bidding" while the other media has remained silent means he really is being pressured and CNN has been chosen to be the front in "floating fake stories" in the Molotov Mob.
This is as dangerous as anything which came out of the Soviet machine as it is not being checked at all.
I purposely have not read any comments posted to this thread. I want to post what I think and then see what others have said.
It is my view, that today, with the internet and blogs being as much as a part of our society as it is, everyone with a computer has the ability to make a lot of 'noise' and bring direct comments/opinions to todays candidates/politicians.
The left being what it is, a collection of ill-concieved and even worse executed ideas, has no common, human, sense of decorum or manners. Those on the far left, have no qualms, with trying to influence 'their' party, even to the point of distruction.
I believe this is mainly because, the left's 'core' is made up of mostly, younger people, with ideas and beliefs, that while not quite solidified, or thought out, nonetheless, are acted upon with fierce devotion and rancor equal to their 'passion'
The right however, tends to be made up of more older, intelligent (read: wisdom, that comes with age, many young 'college kids' are intelligent in their own right, their thoughts have not yet firmed up into 'values' or 'morals') people, whom, use different ,more traditional methods for getting their opinions and beliefs across.
The right tends to rely more on phone calls and letters to campaigns/candidates/politicians that state a position and/or a belief, than simply call or write and threaten.
The left is still the same military-hating, tree-hugging, pacifists they have always been. They haven't changed, what has changed is the medium of communication. The internet and cable networks have brought instant information.
Combine, the swiftness of dissemination of information, with a left controlled media, and a group of constituants who are not afraid to be rude, outspoken, brash and even violent, and the end result will be candidates/politicans who are afraid to make a move or have an opinion that may 'cross' those who 'pull the strings'.
Generally, the above scenario is used more when, the ideas that are presented, are not shared by the majority of the population. Read: Lies!
The right, who usually are right, or correct (IE: ideas/beliefs shared by the general public) know, or believe that the simple fact that their position is 'correct', will mean that most other 'reasonable, intelligent' people will listen to what is said to them, think it over, and then come to the same opinion.
This has been the 'ways' of both parties for many years. They haven't changed, what has changed is both the way that info is disseminated, and the ferocity of the left, and the increasingly dangerous opinion of those on the left, that their position is 'so' important and correct, that even threats of violence, or violent acts themselves are 'ok' as they are simply doing what they believe is best for the rest of the world.
Remember those on the left are concerned more with the whole world, than just our country. That makes it easier for them to commit acts and make statements that those of us on the right, would consider 'beyond the pale'.
To the left, the bigger the issue, the more desperate the problem, the larger and more aggresive their response should be.
I believe that to a certain degree, we on the right need to make a study and determine what we can do to counter what the left does and says. It is even more important today, with the MSM being as openly left leaning as possible, to get our opinions out to the rest of the country that matters, the undecideds.
The left already has a lead on us in the media department, and while talk radio and blogs have made a difference, it will not be enough to stop the left from making 'gains' in the political world, if we cannot reach the rest of the 'people'.
I thank you for the forum and apologize for such a long comment, however, I have been thinking about this for many years and have wanted to make this point for a long time.
It's time for our Republican leaders to go on national TV and call people like senator harry reid PISS ANTS!
From what I know of Fred Thompson he is this type of man. I want a real leader for a change. One that's not afraid to get in the ring and duke it out with a-holes!
An article was just posted over at Politico.com concerning Fred.
The following snip may give insight to peoples questionsabout fighting back.
"When I asked him if he is an 11th Commandment man — Never speak ill of a fellow Republican — he responded, “I am more of a 12th Commandment man: Don’t speak ill of them until they speak ill of me. And then really speak ill of them.”
Liberals are on the defensive. All the calamities that liberals have predicted have not come true. All the accomplishments predicted by the liberals sum to zero. The new media provides a uncensored way to shine the spot light of truth on liberal irrationalism.
This illustrates the problems with most polls. None of the choices are mutually exclusive of the others. I think these all contribute to the rise in bias shown by the media as well as the Congress. The GOP are all but impotent from fear of doing or saying something that may draw atttention to themselves, so they are hunkered down "hoping" to win in 2008. Hopefully, someone will donate a large sack of gonads before then so they can get back into the game. Replace them all and start over with real Statesmen and throw out the career politicians. If Amercans would prune these weak kneed sorry excuses for Congressmen and women every couple of years it would solve 90% of the problems in Wash. D.C.
The media is desperate. They want to discredit any and all alternative sources of information. This is the purpose of Democrats avoiding debates, on Fox News, it's the purpose of the Bill O'Reilly, Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh attacks, and the purpose of only negative stories about the Iraq War.
It also appears to be the purpose behind all the global warming stories, that trumpet the liberal line, not so much because they believe it but because the Republicans don't so they want to present them as uncaring about the environment.
Democrats: Specializing in "high tech lynching" since 1987.
It's a combination of two things, the media's bizarre, perverted fascination with the terminally mediocre Clintons...and their pathetic mythology relating to Florida 2000.
I voted Other because I think its all about Iraq. The media cares more about power than anything else and for the last 4 years, the media has attempted to frame the Iraq war as the second coming of Vietnam. As we all know, it was Walter Cronkite who single-handedly changed the course of the Vietnam War and most every media personality knows it as well.
Unlike others here, I think some of these "journalists" actually believe they are doing the right thing by framing all news about the Iraq war to get us out. However, the frame of reference for these fellows (and ladies) is very narrow. They simply don't understand, or don't want to understand, that true integrity in journalism is to report the facts without bias.
These days, the media is getting trounced in Iraq. We are winning the war. There is no bad news...and the good news far outweighs the bad news. The sensationalists simply cannot fill their time slots with enough doom and gloom content. They can't report on Congress because Congress isn't doing anything. They can't attack the Republican nominees because they don't know which one to go after yet.
The media could, however, bring up some of these untold stories about Hillary. They could investigate Hsu and Paw and these other fundraisers of hers. They could carefully examine the plausibility of her healthcare plan. They could investigate her ties to Media Matters and the Center for American Progress. Right now, Hillary is the only "newsworthy" candidate, yet she has not been the subject of any real investigative journalism. Nor will she.
Why? It leads back to my original point. If these "well-meaning" journalists can have a hand in electing the first woman president in the history of the United States of America, then they've really accomplished something. Kudos to Tim Russert, who is about the only journalist to ask Hillary any tough questions at all.
Don't expect anything different between now and the 08 election. She is the annointed one.
I don't think it's getting worse, we're just getting so complacent in our Fox News/MRC bubble that every slightly liberal-friendly media moment sends us into apoplexy. If our presidential frontrunners hadn't flipflopped about everything from gay rights to gun control during their campaigns, they'd be getting the credibility and attention Hillary's getting.
Nice try, lefty troll. If you were honest, you would acknowledge that the liberal bias in the news media is as prevalent as ever...maybe even more so. The likes of CBS, NBC, ABC, CNN, MSNBC, the New York Times, the Boston Globe, the LA Times simply take dictation from Soros/Clinton front groups like Media Matters, MoveOn, People for the (un)American Way and many others...then report it as "legitimate" news. Fox News and, to a greater extent MRC are just two examples of the resources now available that expose the lies and fraud perpetrated by the left through its news outlets. Correct thinking Americans were always suspicious of Dan Rather's credibility. He was always a dubious newsman and a Democrat hack...our "bubble", as you so ignorantly refer to it, proved Dan Rather to be a fraud. And he's not the only left-wing fraud in the news media. I might take your self-inclusion (we're just getting so complacent...) more seriously if I hadn't seen some of your other lame attempts to troll before. Jimmy Carter not a bad President? Ha!

October 2, 2007 - 12:20 ET by Lame CherryThese are coups and were planned in advance several years ago by the Clintonistas (this will include the superstructure of the DNC, CIA communists, George Soros, the media and the PACS)

Only My Opinion
October 2, 2007 - 12:53 ET by ConserveDadI purposely have not read any comments posted to this thread.
Thanks again, Steven

October 2, 2007 - 13:19 ET by Clear thinkerI voted "GOP not fighting hard enough".
It's time for our Republican leaders to go on national TV and call people like senator harry reid PISS ANTS!
From what I know of Fred Thompson he is this type of man. I want a real leader for a change. One that's not afraid to get in the ring and duke it out with a-holes!

October 2, 2007 - 14:35 ET by Clear thinkerAn article was just posted over at Politico.com concerning Fred.
The following snip may give insight to peoples questions about fighting back.
"When I asked him if he is an 11th Commandment man — Never speak ill of a fellow Republican — he responded, “I am more of a 12th Commandment man: Don’t speak ill of them until they speak ill of me. And then really speak ill of them.”

Problem with Polls
October 2, 2007 - 15:47 ET by doug1950This illustrates the problems with most polls. D.C.
I voted "other"
October 2, 2007 - 20:58 ET by pbthinkerThe media is desperate.

It's a combination of two
October 2, 2007 - 22:14 ET by fitzfongIt's a combination of two things, the media's bizarre, perverted fascination with the terminally mediocre Clintons...and their pathetic mythology relating to Florida 2000.
I voted Other
October 2, 2007 - 22:34 ET by timotheI voted Other because I think its all about Iraq.
I don't think it's getting
October 3, 2007 - 08:47 ET by rwestI don't think it's getting worse, we're just getting so complacent in our Fox News/MRC bubble that every slightly liberal-friendly media moment sends us into apoplexy. If our presidential frontrunners hadn't flipflopped about everything from gay rights to gun control during their campaigns, they'd be getting the credibility and attention Hillary's getting.
Nice try, lefty troll. If
October 3, 2007 - 12:16 ET by fitzfongNice try, lefty troll. Ha!
