Even the dummies in the media

know that the only way they can hold onto readers/viewers is to keep the circus train moving, and unload at the convention. If they go off onto a siding, they'll have to unleash their attacks on McCain too early and people will notice the bias. If they can keep their biases under control till October, they can unload slowly, over time, and spread out their anti-americanisms, thinking that no-one will notice.

There is no sense in being stupid, if you can't prove it! - my dad V

No question.

Hill will be the nominee.   Media may have a little hissy fit but they'll accept it.

I can't see Hill being the

I can't see Hill being the nominee. Even Pelosi said that would bring down the Dim party if these "Super Delegates" go against the people's choice. I loved the fact that Florida is not goin to redo their primary. That in itself keeps Hill behind in this count. The Dim's system brought this on and some wonder why nothin gets done in our Gov. Honestly, I think at this point. Hill wants this to continue to hurt Obama's chances. Better to have another shot 4 years from now than having to wait 8. It's all about her.

I'm afraid I agree with

I'm afraid I agree with Mearline on this one.  The media and the Pantsuit campaign have already seen a good portion of Republicans back McCain in the weeks since he secured the nomination.  Many Republicans (myself included) were and are bitter about the manner in which McCain won...and the fact that he did win.  But many have also come to terms with the fact that he is by far the best choice among three awful ones.

The Pantsuits think that they can corral the support of the rest of the party despite the anger over her stealing the nomination...if McCain can do it, so can they will be the thinking.  Besides, the fact that some Republicans won't vote for McCain in any circumstance will give the Pantsuits hope along the other flank...of course, the caveat to that is that many Republicans (, Democrats and Independents) who wouldn't ordinarily vote for McCain under any circumstance will manage to generate the energy to vote for him if only to defeat her.

But I firmly believe that the Pantsuit is going to get the Democrat nomination...no matter who she has to step on to get it.

Reguardless of who wins the

Reguardless of who wins the nomination for the dems, they can look to lose 20% of their party vote. So sayes the poll. So much for dem unity.

Hi fitz... Speaking of

Hi fitz...

Speaking of some who won't vote for McCain...I saw this early this morning...may not mean much but thought I'd stick it in here.

"Never murder your opponent when he is committing suicide." ~ W. Churchill

Anyone who voted for either Bush, Nixon, or Ford.....

....and now says they won't vote for McCain is an utter hypocrite. McCain is probably (on the whole) more conservative than all of them. McCain was definitely not my first choice, but he is worlds better than either Democrat, and with a likely Democrat congress controlled by leftists like Nancy Pelosi, we need to retain the White House.

"women and minorities hardest hit"

I voted for Carter and

I voted for Carter and President Bush got me when he declared emphtically on national TV during a debate as being 100% committed Christian.  I knew if a man was that forthright with his fiath in Jesus then I was bound to vote him in.  And he was the right choice both elections in 2000 and 2004.  The man for all his shortcomings would lead and has lead us down the road towards Christ.

Unfortunately McCain does not have that redeeming quality.  He reminds me more of the used car salesman.

So who am I voting for, I dont know; they do still allow write in votes.

Nuke em til they glow then shoot em in the dark.

MC... Worlds better? I

MC...

Worlds better?

I think not.

I am also not a hypocrite.

We all have the right to vote for who we want to...to each their own, that includes me.

As an aside, like I have said before, it will depend on who he picks for a VP...other than that, if not a real conservative I will write in somebody else, but I will vote.

Btw...I haven't heard all of his wonderful speech today, but what I have heard makes me as a conservative ill, which I posted somewhere else...but I will try as much as possible to listen to his pathetic rhetoric later on C-Span, when I can stomach it...I know I am the minority here, but nothing new for me in my life...we all see things differently in this life.

"Never murder your opponent when he is committing suicide." ~ W. Churchill

hey......we had to have

hey......we had to have Carter to get Reagan.

My plan would be to get Obama in there. Knock Hillary out of it for at least 8 years....by then ...she'll be all dried up....Let Obama fall on his face not being able to cut and run from Iraq.....have his base lose faith in him.....and get a REAL conservative in there next go around. I think electing MC....sends a dangerous message to the rest of the Republicans. R next to your name doesn't mean RINO!!

Hey, BT.  You know that

Hey, BT.  You know that you have absolutely nothing to apologize for here.  I'm reminded of the South Park episode before the last Presidential election when South Park Elementary was forced to choose between a "giant douche" and a "turd sandwich" as the school's new mascot (animals, like Native Americans had become too politically incorrect to use as mascots...so "Cows" was out).  It seems like we're going to be given such a choice in November's election.  I will hold my nose and vote for the "turd sandwich" this year...but I won't be happy about it.  But the thought of either "giant douche" winning the election is just too much for me take.

By the way, I have a feeling that this year's election is going to shake out like the last two elections: 2-4 swing states getting all the attention...so I expect McCain to pick Charlie Crist in an attempt to hold serve in Florida.  That "turd sandwich" is going to be even harder to swallow.

They already are and have

They already are and have been with Matthews leading the way earlier this week, not like it hasn't been mentioned before, but they really have the knives out now for her to drop out...

It has been amusing....

I agree...

CBS running the "Bosnia Lie" story with video for two nights running...

The switch has been flipped, and they're going to pith Hillary.

I blame "Party Elders".

We are talking about the Clintons Here.

Forget all you thought you knew.   She will not be denied what SHE sees as rightfully hers.   'Instead of a dark lord you will have a QUEEN....All SHALL love her and DESPAIR."   SLIGHTly better than fifty percent chance McCain can beat her.   I'm not discounting another court battle though.

Check under the hood

With Hil, you may want to check under the hood to make sure,...

Interesting timing on this call for her to drop out...

I find it interesting that all these calls for her to quit are coming in the wake of significant gains for Clinton in the polls and a significant drop for Obama over the Wright embarrassment. Clinton is also likely to crush Obama in PA. I think it's simply a matter of the Obama cult and people like Chris Matthews beginning to worry about Hillary gaining traction. Would have made more sense to "demand" that she quit a month ago. Since then, she's done quite well with TX, OH, CT and gains in national polls (vs. Obama). But now the media is working themselves up in a tizzy with faux-serious "analysis" of whether she should quit or not.

Many in the MSM have been trying to get Hillary to quit.

That was what sparked all that "dream ticket" nonsense a while back. But it isn't going to happen, especially now with Obama faltering in some areas.

Hillary will be around for the convention.

Really?

I can imagine him choosing or not-choosing her for a VP, but if she gets the nomination, I suspect Hillary's VP choice is already made for her, whether she likes it or not.

Barack has to be smarter

Barack has to be smarter than to choose the Pantsuit as his running mate.  There's no upside for him there, she'll weigh him down like a lead breakfast.

I think he has to publicly consider choosing her, though...

And make it seem like a tough decision when he goes with Richardson, kissing the maximum possible ass. But I think you're right, that's much less likely due to the considerable Clinton baggage she'd bring, if not the (ahem) possible personal risks...

But does anyone think she can choose anyone but him? A win for her at this point would be guaranteed to be razor thin, just by the numbers I see she has no choice. And even though they've laid into eachother so far, over my lifetime I've seen plenty of that stuff. Epithets from old enemies like "voodoo economics" during the primaries are invariably forgotten by what suddenly become new friends during the general.

It seems like Evan "John

It seems like Evan "John Edwards with a $5 Haircut" Bayh is heavily angling to be Hillary's #2.  She might even pick that creepy socialist Antonio Villaraigiosa...as he has some bizarre following.  If she was as smart as she thinks she is, she would consider Harold Ford.  She's going to need to moderate her tone for the general election...and Ford has already taken on Markos in a public forum.  He's intelligent, respectable and would appeal to the "undecideds" in my view.

Wow. I didn't think of him

Ford's very smooth and telegenic, but my brother's from Tenn. and says there may be family/corruption issues. OTOH, from media reports I've seen, Harold's never quite implicated, which would mean he's also very slick. He'd definitely be an interesting choice. But I think she'd swallow her pride, cry in public a bunch, and then pick Barak anyway if she somehow gets the nod. The odds still have Obama ahead, but just barely.

Sarc, there is too much animosity between Hillary & Obama.

Not to mention the egos involved.

Hillary will not settle for second filddle to an upstart freshmen senator. She will run the party into the ground first.

Could be...

But I've still got these "voodoo economics" memories, so I'm not going to be surprised if they find a way to make nice for the sake of power much the same way McCain would be if/when he chooses Romney. (I'm told the other Republican candidates all loathed Romney.)

Latest Poll

http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/election_20082/22_of_democrats_want_clinton_to_drop_out_22_say_obama_should_withdraw

This is partly why she won't drop out.   22% want her to drop out.   22% want Obama to drop out.    My money still on Hill as the nominee.     The media is conflicted too.  They go back and forth...which one can wrap up the election?  They just want to win.   They'll help her destroy Obama when the time comes.
