I watched ABC nightly news the other night for some ungodly reason, they said, "Handgun background checks are way up" and showed video of people firing class III automatic weapons!!!
The answer is very simple but requires the public to take action such as not watching the MSM news programs (except to moniter) and boycotting the products of the advertisers. The liberals do have control of the media but not your wallet.
The media uses loaded language when covering every topic from guns to poverty to big government to abortion. The list goes on.
Every time I read the term "assault weapon" I know where the journalist stands on the issue.
It's even easier to tell when you know the actual facts of the story and you realize that the fact that someone was saved by a private gun owner was omitted. Those stories don't get reported and when they do, that part is highly downplayed, if mentioned at all. Lott covered media bias in More Guns, Less Crime. The bias is real and is, in my opinion, sinister.
What is the point of a poll where all 3 answers are in agreement? This is pointless. I wish I knew who wrote this poll. How about providing a Conservative Answer, an Independant Answer and a Liberal/progressive Answer? I believe in conservative ideals, and drival like this makes it seem as if we do not have enough conviction in our own beliefs to stand them against the ideals of our opposition. It's embarrassing to me to have a poll on this page worthy of The Daily Kos.

The ideals of our opposition are the end of private gun ownership and the disarming of honest citizens.
In my 70 years of life I do not recall one single news article in the old media giving a positive portrayal of guns. Therefore there are no other possible motives for the media obsession against guns.

It is repeated ad nauseam after the fact by the MSM and unfortunately, by Fox News as well.
