The record of what he has said is forever recorded now in history and it ain't very pretty. What he stated will stand as truth, not what he wants us to believe he said.
Move over Revs Jackson and Sharpton. Rev Wright wants his own place on the talk-show couch. Time for Obama to characterize Wright’s words as more than “objectionable”… maybe really objectionable or really really objectionable.
.... maybe he could say his wife wrote the check.... or he thought his donation was going straight to delivering meals to the elderly... he'll come up with something
This man was a big fish in a little pond...no one questioned him. Not even the potential democrat nomination for the presidency. Now America knows what this guy was preaching. What he wants to do is to justify his opinions. He doesn't like to be portrayed as what he is..racist. He doesn't like that it is now known what he was doing to undermine race relations, love of country and the teachings of Jesus. He doesn't like catching hell. Problem is, he is not as smart as he thinks he is. Everytime he opens his mouth, he makes it worse...for him and Obama.
If anyone is hurting Blacks in this country it's people like Wright. He is putting on display the exploitation of Blacks by race-baiting demagogues who have stirred up hate, fear and mistrust among the Black population for decades. This whole fiasco ought to begin the exodus for Blacks from the Liberal Plantation.
Wright apparently loves being in the center of things and loves rifling up racial tensions. I think Limbaugh is correct that Wright wants America caught up in a racial hurricane to validate himself.
On the one hand we have the omniscient MSM declaring "this is mainstream Black church", and on the other, way too few African Americans saying "This is not my church"

I am sorry, I am so angry today after listening to him last night at the NAACP, along with the Screaming at the top of his lungs hate-filled Rev. Anthony introducing him, and then the BS this morning....this should make me smile I suppose in the long run of things, but it doesn't, I despise these enemies in our country that are so hate-filled that they support the likes of every enemy including Saddam, blaming everything on us....and our men have died from the beginning of this country for the right of these slugs to speak....
I am furious.
He is despicable.
Tells you all you really need to know about the Obamas too as far as I am concerned.
Btw...for anyone that caught the two speeches, he repeated Barack Hussein Obama's name about three times in a row, and Cunningham got reprimanded for this by McCain immediately....that was rich now wasn't it?
"Never murder your opponent when he is committing suicide." ~ W. Churchill
What a great post!!! You summed up exactly what I have been thinking since I saw Rev. Wrong last night and again this morning. I am hoping that people in this country, whether they have already voted for him in a primary or not, will think long and hard about who Obama really is, and what they would be getting if they put him in office in November. They, in fact all of us, would be getting a president who chooses to associate himself with a despicable, racist hatemonger like Wright. I don't for one minute believe Obama when he claims not to endorse the garbage that Wright has spewed all these years. Like it or not, we are all judged by who we associate ourselves with. Where there is smoke, there's fire, and this looks like an inferno brewing.
Sharpton started off in the same way - as a provocateur and now is a regular on many of the talk shows - where he's considered - er - sharp - and witty - dependable as an enetertaining interview. Given Soledad O'Brien's review of the good reverend's appearance - using the same kind of descriptive terms - can we (and he) anticipate having him as a regular on O'Reilly and Hannity & Colmes in the future?
Spot on, Rev.J.Wright is everything you said, & here is where I come to the fork in the road. He knows that he is viewed as a lightning rod, but does he really believe that his media blitz is helping him or Obama? In the end, I think he's in it for himself & could'nt give a damn about sinking Obama's chances of becoming President. It would be good for buisiness...his buisiness. God bless Sean Hannity for being on this one about a year ago.
Your last point is your best one, Michelle Obama is gonna be a big problem, the Senator might be able to distance himself from Rev.J.Wright in the eyes of some, but he can't do that with Michelle. He has a problem.
"Some of us are wise, some of us are otherwise" Mark Levin
So an attack on his racist comments are an attack on ALL black churches???? Since when did he become the face of ALL black churches??? He is really full of himself.......he will utimately bring Obamanation down single handed....all because of his own fame and enrichment, the new "Al Sharpton". A truly disgusting excuse for a human being. There is a special place in hell reserved for people like him.
I'd love to slap that smartass smirk right off of his face.
Someone, in their infinite wisdom, thinks it's a good idea to get the Pastor out there. Perhaps they think that the pastor can get a lot of white folk to agree with his comments and vote for Obama, I just don't know. Whatever it is, the more this guy opens his mouth, the less votes Obama gets so keep the man talking.
Read Wright's Press Club speech again. Find in there anywhere when he refers to Jesus as the Messiah, the Savior, the Son of God. I didn't find that...but he does refer to Jesus as a prophet. Odd for a christian wouldn't you say? But spot on for islam. Is that part of black liberation theology? Then you can keep it. And that's even more reason to reject Obama as potential presidential material.
