Internet
August 13, 2008 - 10:46 ET by MeanderingIts weird, or it might be my really old computer, but I don't spend any time online when I get home after work. I don't want to waste my time while I'im home with my family. Could just be me though.
It is just you
August 13, 2008 - 11:02 ET by Dr_LibertyYou need to show greater loyalty to NB by monitoring the website at least once per hour for 24 hours -- that may mean setting your alarm clock to get up at 1 a.m.
get your priorities straight.

I watch less, but it hasn't
August 13, 2008 - 10:54 ET by iconoclastI watch less, but it hasn't anything to do with the internet. It has to do with the declining quality of TV programming.

August 13, 2008 - 12:30 ET by ThatDudeThat's the bulk of why I don't watch tv. I can catch the few things I do want to see at my own convenience via youtube. I was actually surprised that the writer's strike had any effect since all the writing has been awful.
"Somewhat less" because I
August 13, 2008 - 10:54 ET by mattm"Somewhat less" because I wasn't much of a TV viewer - mainly watching videos with my kids - I've for the most part boycotted the MSM news since 1988 when they overtly tried to sabotage Bush's campaign by accusing him of racism with the Willie Horton ad (which Algore was the first to invoke - though the media failed to mention that little tidbit of info...)
It's more than that
August 13, 2008 - 10:55 ET by RiharI don't think I watch less TV. I just don't watch any TV News, I read it all on the internet. I don't even watch FOX News.
Summertime means baseball for my TV watching time. The rest of the year (if football isn't on) is Mythbusters, Dirty Jobs, that kind of show. I used to be faithful to Top Gear but I can only take Jeremy's snide America remarks in small doses. I guess the only fiction I watch is Dr. Who. The current Doctor is the best one since Tom Baker.
When a liberal speaks, the truth is busy elsewhere.
TV watching went down, until
August 13, 2008 - 10:58 ET by Don DeskinsTV watching went down, until I got a laptop. Now I don't have to go into the other room to web surf. :)
TV v. the Web
August 13, 2008 - 10:59 ET by CaringwhiteguyTV is for sports and old movies. The web is the place to stay informed.
I'd do without cable before I'd give up internet
August 13, 2008 - 11:08 ET by Iowa BoyI usually listen to ballgames on the radio or online. I've watched a lot of Olympic coverage online and what TV shows I do watch (Baseball Tonight, 24, & BSG) I'll capture on my PC TV card or download and watch them later on my Zune.

I watch different instead of same
August 13, 2008 - 11:15 ET by wizardjrSince the advent of cable and satellite TV I tend to watch mostly non-network TV. I watch History and History International, The Learning Channel, HGTV, Spike, Travel Channel, Sci-Fi, Sleuth, a few things on BBC America (mostly Dr. Who), and things like that. I get all my news and views on the net, never on TV. My wife does watch the soaps and the Game Show Network.
I watch a lot less tv now
August 13, 2008 - 11:23 ET by SGriffisbecause there's very little worth watching. Besides, baiting liberals on internet forums is a lot more fun.

Less TV
August 13, 2008 - 11:42 ET by lhbarnesA lot less, but not because of the Web. Because of the poor, overall quality of TV programming, news (especially the news), and mostly the insane coverage of the so-called global warming.
Right and left brain hemispheres
August 13, 2008 - 11:52 ET by JWFI had my right and left brain hemispheres surgically disconnected.
I have the tv going while I soif teh webs.
It has greatly enhance my ability to watch teh boobtubes and reading all teh web news.
Only drawback, I cantz focuze my eyeballs. one is here, one is over there.
How about -none- (!)
August 13, 2008 - 11:59 ET by desertdwellerOur family will watch a rented or purchased movie a few times a week, but we've not had a TV (over the air, cable, or satellite) feed into our house for almost six months now.
And the kids don't miss it, either.
TV or not TV
August 13, 2008 - 12:09 ET by DontFeedTheTrollsI'm a big fan of Netflix. I watch what I want, not what someone else wants me to watch.

August 13, 2008 - 12:24 ET by Kenny BunkportWhat's this thing called television? Is it new? lol
Actually I watch TruTV (formerly CourtTV) and History Channel and of course FOXNews. Network TV? What's that?

Actually
August 13, 2008 - 12:41 ET by cheesegraterI started watching less after 9/11/2001 due to the anti GWB reporting and entertainment on TV. The internet has further decreased my viewing to almost zero. What I do watch is old movies, TV Land and Boomerang, with the occasional sporting event (no Olympics).
Speaking of 9/11, did
August 13, 2008 - 12:56 ET by Kenny BunkportSpeaking of 9/11, did anyone else notice that network TV nevers airs a program recounting the event? I don't mean programs discussing ramifications or implications to the War on Terror (which of course is not mentioned by name). But actual documentaries retelling the events of the day. You'll see programs about it on cable, but not network.
The MSM and network wonks want everyone to forget about. A show like that might get you angry again. You might even vote Republican. God forbid!
You're more likely to see a special about Pearl Harbor, Hiroshima, or Oklahoma City, than a documentary on 9/11.

August 13, 2008 - 13:03 ET by 10ksnookerWith the web, you get the news first and unfiltered -- Well if you don't read the DNC and terrorist press releases from AP.
I watch a lot more TV since
August 13, 2008 - 13:21 ET by soulpileI watch a lot more TV since I keep it on while I surf the web/use the computer/play PC games. Also, I live with people who watch Fox News constantly. But network tv? Only if they're playing America's Got Talent. Or Frasier/Cheers reruns.

I don't watch television
August 13, 2008 - 16:52 ET by viluzionI guess that qualifies as a lot less since I did watch it some when I was young.
