The first time in seven years I haven't had to sweat the hub connections. Whoo-hoo!

There's NO PLACE like HOME ...

 And while sitting in front of my fireplace with my family I will say an additional prayer for those brave and selfless men and women finding family with each other (and for their wonderful families at home without them) while serving and protecting our country.

Christmas is for everyone, even non-believers. I wish all of you who post content on this site a Merry Christmas.

I'll be snowboarding with my son at Mary Jane (Colorado) on Christmas day, then trekking to a memorial service for my beloved late father-in-law in Iowa. Like a few other years, this one has been bittersweet. Best wishes to all for a healthy 2008.

I was over at my local (Washington DC) YMCA signing up for next year and who should happen to be leaving? Why the notoriously liberal Al Hunt. He seemed to have no qualms wishing everyone a Merry Christmas. That was a pleasant surprise.

  A wonderful Christmas to all- thank God in celebration that He sent His Son to us. God's best to one and all, and to our fine troops in the field.

We had to travel 350 miles to my folks. My daughter in Pensacola could not come in because she is ready to deliver anyday. She is calling every couple of hours. This will be the first Christmas she hasn't been with us in 22 years. The doctor told her if he didn't see her before the 28th then come back to his office. Maybe we will have one of the greatest gifts tomorrow.

Merry Chistmas all. I am going to enjoy tomorrow playing with the grand kids toys. They are getting some neat stuff.  Traveling back home on Wednseday. See you all on Thursday.

can't help it cause my ole ladys family are foaming at the mouth liberals but they know i'm an evil greedy horrible war mongering conservative, we've agreed not to discuss politics.

alas we were visiting some of their liberals friends and they just couldn't help but bitch and gripe about how the whole country is sooooo stooopid for voting for such a stoooopid person, and they were still harping on how he wasn't even "elected" the first time. to keep the peace through the visit i just kept my mouth shut and let the losers continue drinking their sour grapes, but so bad did i want to tell them that by their standards of election rules they wanted to play by that their savior billy boy shouldn't have ever been "elected" either, instead i just went outside and took pictures of the elk walking around.

liberals have such a flexible and conveluted and adjustible value system.

i have to say i was so proud of my ole lady though, the former liberal, they asked her about something and she explained after working in the health care system for so long there is no way she could vote for a liberal to fund all the mooches in our society, so with that smacked in their faces they immediately switched to the war since they couldn't debate her on that and she told them it was a shame that the liberals in politics have drug the war out so long because we should have won this thing already if the politics hadn't been diluting out efforts. which then they jumped back and avioded that remark and asked why she didn't feel we and bush brought 911 on ourselves, to which she replied a quick no and it was in the making long before bush ever ran for office. their reply was muted unchallenged blank stares.

i'm so proud of my reformed liberal gal. i never ever taught her a thing i only taught her to open her eyes and question and come to logical common sense thought out conclusions regarding politics.
