North Carolina now has the worst government money can buy.
I fear it will pass, the only thing is how much swag will it take to get the politicians on board. It will be the most bloated monster to come down the pike yet. I voted a 75% chance to pass it. If Duh One does not pass it soon then it will not get through.
Because I fear around Christmas we will have a present for the USA, a full blown depresssion. No facts or such, just a gut feeling.
A while back I had a dream of a nuclear explosion in a large city and was saying to myself "They really did it". Now I have had dreams in the past that seemed so real, mostly in my younger years and they came true in some fashion or another. This dream seemed so real, but dreams are just that dreams. Just a kook I guess; but seeing events in the world makes me wonder.
I went with 0% because if there is one thing the Dems are good at it is governing based on the polls. Right now between the CBO last week, the governors yesterday, and Obama's diving ratings the Titanic has a better shot at landing n New York harbor than this bill does of landing on Obama's desk.
I think the Blue Dogs and freshmen Dems will actually help in this situation because they have to protect their own interests and do not have as much to fear from Obama as his ratings continue to fall. After August recess thoughts will already shift to the 2010 election (god help us) which will make this unpopular pig even harder to push through.
2012 campaign slogan - "Carter got his 2nd term, NOW can we move on?"
Depends on the blue dogs.....hopefully they will drag their feet enough so that we don't get another bill "so important" it must be passed without anyone reading it.

rails have been 'greased' by the pork in the spendulus bill, and it doesn't take much to push the nocare bill with those who got the ham the first time around.

It doesn't matter what the people want. They don't listen or care. It's what the guy who would be president wants. Vote out every last one of them. Put in some new faces, preferably ones with a brain, this time.
I've been writing each of my reps, all demolibs (that includes Lance who voted for cap/tax) almost every day, letting them know that they have forgotten their oath of office, the part about defending the constitution, and that they need to hear what us common folk have to say. I said that after acknowledging that they don't listen, but I felt better.
If the cowards in the media would actually report about O's nocare proposal, since they didn't say anything about his spendulus bill, then maybe the drones who watch the likes of charlie, catie (sic) and whoever else there is, then they might "get it" that living in this country ain't no free lunch, nor is healthcare a 'right'.

Did anyone see Obama's pathetic health care reform speech today?
1. He blamed health care costs on insurance company "boondogles" -- his words, not mine
2. He almost cried as he was complaining that a Republican said "If we can stop Obama on this, it will be his Waterloo moment".
3. He told us that in the past 3 years, emergency room visits have almost doubled.
I want to address each of these:
1. Boondogles? Didn't he recently blast car executives for using a plane; banking executives for taking bonus's; and almost everybody for going to Las Vegas? Also, didn't Obama himself go to NYC for a date; to Chicago for a Valentine's day party; and fly Air Force 1 around for a photo op? And didn't Michelle and kids take a vacation in France on our dime?
2. Waterloo? Didn't Obama win the election? Can't he just repeat the phrase "we won, you lose" over and over again without crying?
3. Emergency room visits? How about stopping these, and save bundles?
This man is a panty-waste, and he offers no reason at all for Americans to accept this pig.

I could not take watching or listening to him today regarding anything unless it was an immediate emergency regarding the terrorists attacks or some-such.
Glad you filled us in here.
Now we are seeing exactly what a whining wussie he is going to be on Wed. night pointing the finger at the big bad repubs...threatening other companies, blaming Bush again most likely, and generally trying to tell the public that health care is a right they all have...blah blah blah...and it MUST be done before Aug. recess. because he SAYS SO!
After-all, he is their messiah.
I just want to see what the press does.

1) Too many Americans (as in a sizeable majority, I believe) no-longer want to take the responsibility for their own health care.
2) If it doesn't pass the recess, its chances will be very slim when congress returns, and Obama knows this, as by then, even the dullest among us might start getting a clue.
3) Obama's henchmen will be out twisting arms, making all kinds of BS promises, and busting enough shins to get it through.
It will be a close vote, but I say it will pass.

I said zero because I am 'hoping for change' and the opinion polls indicate that more of the people that got fooled and voted for Obama are realizing the error of their decision.
I told my 86 year-old mom before the election that BO was a socialist and she ignored my advice. (Full disclosure: I ignored hers more than once, years ago. Payback's a beach.) She now regrets her vote, and I have forgiven her.
I hope that the wheels are coming off. My rep is Diane DeGette, so my views will never be represented in the House, but there are vulnerable Dems who want to stay on the gravy train that need to worry about their re-election prospects in a year or so.
