I live near the Iowa-Minnesota state line. The Des Moines Register and the Minneapolis Star Tribune could keep a site like this going all by themselves.

i took the question to mean meeting regionally like the party in DC, you i believe meant a regional blog. In SoCal we have Hedgecock, John&Ken, Rick Roberts, etc doing the regional stuff on radio. Besides one of the best parts of NB is all my friends here from all over the country, i'd not be prepared to leave them for a more local blog.

I live in the sticks, and i'm fairly certain that there wouldn't be a regional node for Mississippi. So why clutter up Newsbusters with local/regional politics that 99% of the time won't affect me. I like that NB focuses on items on the national level.

We need to get people of all sorts excited about this coming election and avoiding a RINO somehow! If not, expect to see another Clinton Presidency no-matter how hard you work for the RINO. Regional NB groups, if they're fun, might be a way to get people excited about the candidates (and yes, there's more than one from what I've seen) the "mainstream" news media obviously-hate. They're all steering the Republican party towards northeastern RINOs for a reason, and her name is Hillary, just as I was saying back in February...

I left another large site about 4yrs ago which permitted users to give states and cities. The site then listed the users as such if so queried. It was helpful to be able to email the 'local group' about upcoming events.
Speaking of "family", I have a memory of crossing over into RI on a back road a few years back....drove by a big old barn and got a glimpse of two big black limos parked side by side, nose to tail. Obviously some kind of a meeting.....I didn't slow down.....
Showing my ignorance, I must ask: what, exactly would it mean to have "Regional NB Chapters"? I see from other comments that others have some ideas, but I'm lost.

One would think that those who participate in NB would be encouraging more people to get involved locally or regionally ON THEIR OWN. Other entrepreneurs will step into the fray if they are ideologically inclined and think they can make a buck. The powers that be at NB should be thinking about how to make their national and global franchise stronger, not DILUTING it.
