Tim Graham on FNC's 'Just In' Discusses Media Coverage of Obama

By NB Staff | July 01, 2008 | 17:14

A  A

MRC's Director of Media Analysis Tim Graham appeared on the July 1 edition of Fox News Channel's "Just In" to discuss a Chicago Tribune article entitled "Coded Prejudice Is Cloaked Dagger," marking the second media appearance in two days dealing with Chicago Tribune nonsense.

Graham appeared opposite Paul Porter of IndustryEars.com, who alleged the media have an anti-Obama bias.

"The question isn't whether he's getting a fair shake, the question is, 'Is the hug too tight?'" quipped Graham about the media's pro-Obama bias. [audio available here]

MRC/NB's Graham on Chicago Tribune Call to Repeal 2nd Amendment

By NB Staff | July 01, 2008 | 10:15

A  A

The Chicago Tribune has lurched to the left of Sen. Barack Obama, at least on gun rights, marking the latest point in its evolution from a historically moderate-to-conservative paper to a reliably left-wing broadsheet.

That's how MRC Director of Media Analysis characterized the Trib's decision to issue an editorial last Friday calling for the repeal of the Second Amendment. The editorial board's writers whined that the Constitution's Framers "could have used an editor" in writing the Bill of Rights. [audio available here]

Below is a transcript -- h/t MRC intern Peter Sasso -- from Graham's appearance on the June 30 "O'Reilly Factor" with guest host John Kasich:

MRC/NB's Graham Chides Media for Soft Treatment of Obama

By NB Staff | March 05, 2008 | 20:41

A  A

Appearing on the March 5 "Your World" program with guest host Brenda Buttner, MRC Director of Media Analysis and NewsBusters Senior Editor Tim Graham lambasted the mainstream media for its gauzy treatment of Democratic frontrunner Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.):

It's really sad that at this point in the presidential campaign, when we're in a situation where they are saying now that the math is impossible for Hillary Clinton to get the Democratic nomination, that now suddenly the media is going to try to vet Barack Obama's record. And really, obviously, the media itself are saying, 'Well, obviously the Saturday Night Live skit had something to do with this.'

They're taking their cues on when to be a professional journalist based on comedy sketches?!

The good Captain has Whitewash co-author and MRC Director of Media Analysis Tim Graham aboard, just after National Review's Rich Lowry disembarks.

'Tis an insightful discussion between two intelligent and well-read gentlemen.

Only the subject matter frightens.

By NB Staff | September 20, 2007 | 19:09

It just doesn't make any sense," noted MRC director of media analysis Tim Graham about former "CBS Evening News" anchor Dan Rather's lawsuit against CBS. The NewsBusters senior editor was interviewed shortly after 5:30 p.m. Eastern on Thursday's "Big Story" by Fox News reporter Heather Nauert.

Tim Graham, Director of Media Analysis for the Media Research Center and Senior Editor of the MRC's NewsBusters, appeared Friday night on the Fox News Channel’s "The O’Reilly Factor" to discuss the MRC's Special Report, "Huffington’s House of Horrors: A Compendium of Far-Left Flame-Throwing, Name-Calling, and Attack-Dogging."

After the jump: The full text of Alec Baldwin's fantasy about killing Dick Cheney by dropping Osama bin Laden's corpse on him and John Cusack's Bush is “human scum” supported by “flag-sucking half wits” quote, both of which Bill O'Reilly and Graham recited on the September 14 program.
