Leave Santa Alone, Samsung: Smartphone Ad Hints at a Sexting Mrs. Claus

By Paul Wilson | December 18, 2012 | 12:02

A  A

'Tis the season for naughty Santa ads? A Samsung commercial showed Mrs. Claus displaying her naughty side.

Samsung cut an innuendo-laced a commercial for its Galaxy phone. The ad first shows a pair of elves excitedly telling Santa they made a video for him. Mrs. Claus shares the video with Santa simply by touching phones. Then Mrs. Claus says: “I also made you a video,” touches phones, then leans in and suggestively says: “but you probably shouldn’t watch it on the sleigh.” (The ad is a Christmas takeoff of an earlier ad featuring the exact same scenario.)

Video after the jump.

More Voters Think Santa Will Give Gifts To Romney Than To Obama

By Noel Sheppard | December 10, 2012 | 19:18

A  A

Barack Obama may have won in November, but more voters think Santa will bring Mitt Romney gifts this Christmas than his Democratic opponent.

Most interesting is that this was reported by the left-leaning pollster Public Policy Polling:

In Santa Claus Song, NPR's Garrison Keillor Mocks Gingrich for Adultery While Opposing Clinton

By Tim Graham | December 12, 2011 | 13:17

On the popular radio show A Prairie Home Companion this weekend, NPR star Garrison Keillor sang a different version of "Santa Claus Is Coming to Town." It had a slightly different melody, and mocked Newt Gingrich, without naming him. Keillor sang: "Don’t think a sense of style conceals your escapades / Don’t vote to impeach Bill Clinton while shacking up with Congressional aides." Gingrich was cheating on his second wife (with his eventual third wife) at that time in 1998.

Keillor also sang that Santa is watching for who is "beating up on" gays or minorities. There's nothing wrong with opposing physical violence or mean-spirited bullying -- but with NPR, you'd have to suspect Keillor is implying a broader argument about conservative arguments against gay marriage or "affirmative action." Keillor sang:

Woman on MSNBC Exclaims 'Santa Claus Loves' Obama

By Brent Baker | January 19, 2009 | 19:03

A  A
Never mind how Barack Obama will magically bring “diversity,” “excellence” and “unity” to America, “Santa Claus” loves the incoming administration. Seconds before 5 PM EST Monday afternoon on MSNBC, anchor Tamron Hall asked a woman in the crowd around MSNBC's platform on Washington's Mall: “What do you think this next administration brings to the country?” The woman, wearing a Santa Claus hat more than three weeks after Christmas, excitedly replied:
I think they bring diversity. I think they bring a spirit of excellence. I think they bring unity and they bring love. Santa Claus loves them.

You'd think Santa Claus would be jealous of Obama for intruding on his specialty of giving away stuff. But maybe the woman was mixed up and meant to say that Obama is just as great as Santa Claus because she expects to get hand outs from him too.
