In his first public response to the Trayvon Martin shooting, President Obama famously said in March, "If I had a son, he'd look like Trayvon."

CNN legal analyst Mark NeJame, after uncovering a picture of George Zimmerman's relatives during his investigation of this matter, told Piers Morgan Thursday, "If President Obama has indicated that his son would have looked like Trayvon Martin, then most respectfully, if you look at these pictures, his grandparents and great-grandparents would have looked a lot like George Zimmerman's grandparents and great-grandparents (video follows with transcript and commentary):

After President Obama publicly supported gay marriage on Wednesday, CNN continued its cheerleading well into Wednesday evening, including a happy interview of openly-gay congressman Barney Frank (D-Mass.) where he proudly showed the audience his engagement ring.

During CNN's 6-9 p.m. coverage, 9 of the guests voiced their support of President Obama's position on-air, while only two objected. Another guest, Mike Signorile, did not give verbal support but writes for the Huffington Post "Gay Voices" blog and has called for President Obama to "kick down the closet door" and publicly support same-sex marriage. On Wednesday's Piers Morgan Tonight, CNN host Piers Morgan mocked Catholic League president Bill Donohue's declaration that Catholicism demands that gay children should still be loved by their parents by suggesting in a later segment that he would have more respect for Donohue's opposition to gay marriage if he would just claim to "hate" homosexuals instead of being "wishy washy." Morgan:

After his recent bout with CNN's Piers Morgan, Jonah Goldberg came back for more fireworks on Tuesday's Piers Morgan Tonight. He accused Morgan of a double standard and took him to task over his lack of journalistic integrity, and Morgan fired back in defense.

Goldberg took to his blog after the April 30 interview to rip Morgan as a partisan hack who was "carrying water for the Democrats." He stood by his words on Tuesday, telling his host "you kept carrying water for the Obama perspective in a way that struck a lot of people as sort of one-sided and unfair, and you weren't listening to the actual answers I was giving." Following the overwhelming passage of Amendment 1 in North Carolina on Tuesday night, Piers Morgan brought on the president of the Family Research Council to attack him over his stance on same-sex marriage.  In typical Morgan fashion, Piers chose not to conduct a fair interview but instead attack Perkins.

The interview started out with Morgan asking Tony why he is, "so implacably opposed to two loving people getting married?"  Throughout the interview, Perkins provided consistent and fact-based arguments for his opposition to gay marriage, something Morgan would have none of.  [Video fiollows page break.  MP3 audio here.] 

After Vice President Joe Biden voiced his support of same-sex marriage over the weekend, CNN jumped all over the news on Monday and expectantly wondered if President Obama would follow suit. In fact, prime-time host Piers Morgan went so far as to admire the "brave Catholic" Biden for dissenting from Church teaching on the issue.

During every hour save one from 5 a.m. all the way through 10 p.m. on Monday, CNN hyped that Obama administration officials had come out in support of same-sex marriage. They hosted the executive director of the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force for a soft interview and aired quotes from the pro-gay Human Rights Campaign and a parent with a lesbian daughter.

CNN founder Ted Turner said something Thursday night guaranteed to raise a couple of eyebrows especially at the White House.

Appearing on Piers Morgan Tonight, without going so far as endorsing Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney, the liberal billionaire said, "I think that he'd probably make a good president" (video follows with transcript and commentary):

Appearing as a guest on Thursday's Piers Morgan Tonight on CNN, the news network's founder, Ted Turner, complained that a double standard exists between the U.S. and Israel being allowed to possess nuclear weapons while Iran is expected to be nuclear-free, as he suggested that all countries dispose of their nuclear arsenals to persuade Iran not to build such weapons.

After host Piers Morgan asked Turner what he would do about Iran if he were President, the CNN founder absurdly complained that Iran was being held to a different standard than Israel, without either he or Morgan noting Iran's support of terrorism against both Israel and the U.S. Turner:

While presidential siblings might normally receive soft interviews on television, President Obama's half-sister Auma had the red carpet rolled out for her on Wednesday's Piers Morgan Tonight. Morgan wasn't just cordial but was enraptured by her "wonderful" new book and her brother Barack's "amazing" story.

"You have the Obama smile. I would have recognized that a mile off," Morgan told Auma. Was he exaggerating or does he know President Obama that well? Regardless, he followed up with more flattery praising her book's "wonderful" title, Barack's "memorable" 2008 campaign speech, and his "unbelievable" singing voice. [Video below the break. On CNN's Piers Morgan Tonight, the host actually called this "the biggest decision" of Barack Obama's presidency (video follows with transcript and commentary):

After CNN's Piers Morgan belittled conservative columnist Jonah Goldberg for upwards of 11 minutes on Monday night, Goldberg fired back Tuesday on his National Review blog and called it a "shameful spectacle." He accused Morgan of being a partisan hack while claiming journalistic impartiality.

"Liberal journalists don't think they have any biases, which makes it very hard for them to compensate for them," Goldberg wrote on Tuesday. He added that Morgan all the while was "making the case for Obama from what he thinks is the centrist position." [Video below the break. Audio here.]

Liberal journalists Frank Rich and Piers Morgan have teamed up to bash conservatives before, and they raised new fears on Thursday that conservative "rich white men" could buy the election through super PACs. Rich admitted on CNN's Piers Morgan Tonight he was "seriously worried Mitt Romney could buy this election," even though to date President Obama has raised more campaign money than Romney.

However, the media also have extraordinary power to influence this election on a daily basis. Liberal media bias may be a non-issue for liberals like Rich and Morgan, but the daily slant on campaign coverage from the three major networks and cable news could have a big hand in tipping the balance toward the Democrats this fall. According to the hosts of Fox and Friends, a NewsBusters blog is "guaranteed to make liberal heads explode.” On the April 25th program, the FNC anchors praised a NB piece by Noel Sheppard on the Dalai Lama saying he "loved" President George W. Bush.

The Dalai Lama said something Tuesday guaranteed to make liberal heads explode.

CNN's Piers Morgan scored a huge get Tuesday night with the first major television interview with Masters Champion Bubba Watson.

When Morgan asked his guest why he was granted this honor, Watson marvelously answered, “Because when you were on this other show ‘America’s Got Talent,’ you were a pr--k!" (video follows with transcribed highlights and commentary):

As NewsBusters has been reporting since the Trayvon Martin shooting occurred in Sanford, Florida, America's press have predictably declared George Zimmerman guilty before an arrest has even been made with some actually calling for his head on a platter.

On Wednesday, Zimmerman's attorney Craig Sonner appeared on CNN's Piers Morgan Tonight saying, "It's been open season on just destroying this man's credibility...The media has just absolutely destroyed him unfairly" (video follows with transcript and commentary):

On Monday's Piers Morgan Tonight, as he interviewed Rick Santorum, CNN host Morgan suggested that America needs more gun control, and pressed the GOP candidate on whether it is "caring" for him, "as a Christian," to undo ObamaCare if elected President. (Video below)

As former Senator Arlen Specter (D-Pa.) railed against political extremists whom he termed "cannibals," CNN's Piers Morgan actually encouraged him to "start taking a few of them out for us" and "Bury a few more bodies." Specter had specifically referenced the Tea Party and the Club for Growth as "cannibals" he wrote about in his new book "Life Among the Cannibals" and repeatedly took shots at the conservative wing of the Republican Party, on Tuesday's Piers Morgan Tonight.

Just last week CNN's Piers Morgan condemned bigoted jokes and slammed conservative actor Kirk Cameron for his "deliberately inflammatory" rhetoric against homosexuals. However, he not only allowed Specter to label his enemies "cannibals" but joined in on the act. [Video below the break. Audio here.]

Former heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson believes America has become more racist since Barack Obama was elected president, and that groups like the Tea Party have surfaced through that racism. Tyson's interview by CNN's Piers Morgan aired on Thursday night's Piers Morgan Tonight.

Tyson professed that "there's a great possibility" that America has become more racist since Obama's election, and when asked to clarify he affirmed "a hundred percent, yes." [Video below the break.]

CNN's own legal analyst described Wednesday morning's Supreme Court hearing on ObamaCare as a "trainwreck" for the Obama administration and added "it may also be a plane wreck" – but prime-time hosts Anderson Cooper and Piers Morgan made only one brief mention between them of the bill's rough morning in court, during Wednesday night's prime-time coverage.

In fact, during Tuesday and Wednesday night's newscasts, Morgan and Cooper made only two brief mentions of the hearings -- while the rest of CNN's afternoon coverage on those days heavily discussed the Court's hearings on ObamaCare.

Piers Morgan is astonished at Newt Gingrich's outrage over Robert DeNiro's knock on GOP white First Ladies – but it's a slim chance the liberal CNN host would be trying to calm the tempest if Michelle Obama were the butt of a celebrity joke.

DeNiro, speaking at an Obama fundraiser, had joked that after seeing the wives of the Republican candidates, America wouldn't be ready for a "white" First Lady. Newt Gingrich denounced the joke as "inexcusable," and then Morgan decided to pounce on that "hideously politically correct overreaction" to "poor old" Robert DeNiro's joke on his Thursday night show. CNN's Piers Morgan and conservative actor Kirk Cameron are still clashing over their March 2 interview where Morgan pressed Cameron on his views of gay marriage and Cameron replied that  homosexuality was "ultimately destructive" to civilization. That comment provoked a sharp outcry from liberal celebrities.

Later on in an interview with the Daily Beast, Cameron called Morgan's interview tactics "heartless" and claimed that the actual interview was 10 minutes longer than what actually aired. "They didn't hear everything I said," he insisted, referring to the CNN audience. "[W]hat I said isn’t a full representation of how I feel about the topic as a whole." [Video below the break.]

Once again, CNN's Piers Morgan is pouting that corporations like Apple should bring jobs back to the U.S. simply because they should. Morgan was rebutted by Chris Christie the last time he made that reasoning at the expense of shareholders' profits, but he was at it again on Monday night.

He has a "constant nagging problem" with Apple making money overseas. "So they are making squillions of dollars. And yet they still employ massively larger sums of people in China than they do in America," he fretted to guest Sen. Scott Brown (R-Mass.). [Video below the break. Audio here.]

CNN's Piers Morgan on Monday actually asked Karen Santorum if her husband Rick is "anti-women?"
