Left-Wing Talk Radio Host Says Obama-Haters Hatched Detroit Terror Plot

By Tim Graham | January 06, 2010 | 11:28

A  A

Proving that there’s a lot of paranoia (or maybe they call it "heightened imagination") on left-wing talk radio, certifiably nutty host (and former CNN employee) Mike Malloy is at it again.

Brian Maloney at Radio Equalizer reports on his Monday show, Malloy refused to accept the premise that al-Qaeda put a young Nigerian jihadi on a flight to Detroit for a Christmas Day massacre. It was, claimed Malloy, a Republican plot:

Now, the inquiry, the questions are being raised as to whether or not this is not a deliberate attempt to embarrass... ah, that's not quite a strong enough word, but let's start there, embarrass the Obama Administration -- that there are forces at work in this country, and I believe this as surely as I put on my right shoe before my left -- that there are forces alive who are very active, very wealthy in this country, at work in this country that want Obama to fail no matter what and the idea of killing 200 to 300 people on a jetliner in order to make the point is nothing. It means nothing....

CNN's Jeanne Moos Highlights 'Liberal Hate' at Joe Lieberman

By Matthew Balan | December 16, 2009 | 19:54

A  A

On Wednesday’s Situation Room, CNN correspondent Jeanne Moos exposed some of the left-wing rage being directed at Senator Joe Lieberman, especially on the Internet. Moos’s examples of “liberal hate” at the Connecticut politician ranged from fantasy Hanukkah gifts, such as a muzzle, to a YouTube video of a woman having her cats attack a string which stood in for the senator [Moos's full report is available here].

The correspondent’s latest light report for CNN highlighted Liberman’s “new low among liberals.” Along with the multiple examples of leftists mocking the senator on YouTube.com, Moos noted the strong reactions from “progressive radio hosts,” such as Mike Malloy, and attacks on liberal blogs like The Huffington Post and Daily Kos:

The Tone of Left-Wing Radio: Dick Cheney Eats Jewish or Muslim Babies

By Tim Graham | October 27, 2009 | 06:24

A  A

Last Wednesday, former vice president Dick Cheney received the Keeper of the Flame award from the Center for Security Policy in Washington, where he denounced President Obama for dithering on Afghanistan. This sent several left-wing columnists and radio hosts into a rage. But there’s rage, and then there’s the wild ravings of host Mike Malloy, who was thinking Cheney was a baby-eater:

Cheney, by the way looks very ruddy; I couldn't get over that like he must have feasted on a Jewish baby, or a Muslim baby; he must have sent his people out to get one and bring it back so he could drink its blood, because that's what somebody like Cheney does to get that ruddy look.

Radio Host Mike Malloy Asserts 'Neo-Fascist Right' Loves Murder of Census Worker

By Tim Graham | September 26, 2009 | 16:55

A  A

On Wednesday, radical radio host Mike Malloy took a page from Ed Schultz (or perhaps it was the other way around) in asserting that the "neo-fascist right" takes joy in the killing of a Census worker:

This is what they do. O'Reilly inspires people to go kill doctors who provide private abortion services, legal services to his patients; and then O'Reilly stands there with that dung-eating look on his face -- what a SOB he is. ‘It wasn't me; of course it was you, you thug!’ And the suicide-prone Glenn Beck rails against Census workers, and inspires his people to kill one for sport; I bet you O'Reilly and Beck and the rest of these monsters on the neo-fascist right in this country love this stuff. It gives them something else to talk about. It's sport.

Libtalker Malloy Says Pat Buchanan Wants Every Jew Hanged

By Noel Sheppard | August 07, 2009 | 10:12

A  A

"[Pat] Buchanan is a bonafide anti-Semite. He, as a member of Opus Dei, he would like to see every Jew hanged..."

So said liberal talk radio host Mike Malloy within days of calling for Fox News's Glenn Beck to commit suicide.

What follows is a YouTubed audio of these appalling comments along with a transcript (readers are encouraged to hang in long enough to hear Buchanan equate Al Gore to birthers!):

Liberal Talker Mike Malloy Hopes Glenn Beck Commits Suicide

By Noel Sheppard | August 06, 2009 | 09:35

A  A

The hate speech directed at conservatives by the far left in this nation continues to get more and more disgusting as well as dangerous.

The most recent incident: liberal radio host Mike Malloy called for Fox News's Glenn Beck to commit suicide and do it on television "because somebody will capture it on YouTube and it will be the most popular video for months."

What follows is the transcript and YouTubed audio (h/t our friend Brian Maloney and reader Birch Barlow):

Bozell Column: Personal Smears Against Rush

By Brent Bozell | July 21, 2009 | 20:30

A  A

It’s a consistent line from the left: conservative talk radio is a cauldron of hate. In the Clinton years, a CBS News promo set out to warn the public about the dangers of Gordon Liddy: "The words are shocking... What he says may not be illegal, but is it dangerous? Has free speech gone too far? Hate radio under fire, and firing back."

It is an unmistakable, unquestionable, resoundingly unequivocal exercise in liberal hypocrisy. The airwaves are now filled with the meanest, most insulting, most dishonest ad hominems in history. They are coming from left-wing talk show hosts.

And from CBS & Co.? Dead silence.

Take Ed Schultz, the closest thing the liberals have to a talk-radio star. He comes unglued when he talks of Rush. On July 15, he uncorked this rant: "Apparently the drug-ridden loser Rush Limbaugh, he thinks because he’s got a lot of money and a lot of stations that he's a success in life, the guy that can't hear because he did so many drugs and had no self-discipline and character has now taken his first shot at me on ‘The Ed Show’ on MSNBC. I love it!"

Essay: Newsweek and Air America Join Forces -- Both Reputations Tarnished

By Seton Motley | March 16, 2009 | 09:12

A  A

Notes: This first appeared in today's Human Events.   We first reported this on March 11th.

A Gust of Hot Air (America)

It's official -- what we the sentient public, doctor and dentist patients in waiting rooms across America and the eight diehards still subscribing have long known: Newsweek is a horrendously biased left-wing rag.

Newsweek announced on Tuesday that they are partnering with liberal radio uber-failure Air America to syndicate their show Newsweek On Air.  They are the first outside "talent" to join with the newly rechristened Air America Media (AAM).

Longtime Newsweek On Air producer and host and Newsweek Contributing Editor David Alpern said of the conjoining, "AAM Syndication is a great partner for Newsweek On Air. We look forward to maintaining the same high-quality content, balance, and listener interest that has won our program various awards and a place on so many station schedules, some for nearly all of its 27 years on the air."

After more than a quarter century of their "balanced" programming, I would venture to guess that most of you have never heard of Newsweek On Air.  This state of anonymity will likely continue with their Air America Media partnership.  It seems they sought to collaborate with an entity whose listenership mirrors their readership - minimal and declining rapidly.

Lib Talker Malloy And a Racist Spoof: Jindal As Computer Tech from India

By Warner Todd Huston | February 27, 2009 | 15:41

A  A
Our friends over at Radio Equalizer caught liberal radio talker Mike Malloy in a bit of hypocrisy. Malloy obviously thought his wife was a scream as she pretended to be Governor Bobby Jindal portraying him as an outsourced computer tech from India replete with cutsey faux Indian accent. Malloy's wife acted as if Jindal was the Simpson's character Apu, or something.

Now, one cannot help but realize that if a conservative had indulged in such an outrageous parody of an ethnic politician, Mike Malloy would have eviscerated that action presenting it as a high crime. Yet, when he and his wife indulge in it... why it's hilarious don't you know?

Democratic Underground: 'The Republican Party Needs to Be Eliminated'

By P.J. Gladnick | February 14, 2009 | 11:07

A  A

The complete intolerance of many on the left for diversity of opinion often goes beyond the mere wish to stifle the expression of opposing political viewpoints via the so-called "Fairness Doctrine" or by other means. Most recently there has been a disturbing new trend, voiced by those like Mike Malloy who called Republicans "domestic terrorists" and wants to prosecute them.

So what was the reaction to Malloy's intolerance by his fellow leftwingers? Unfortunately, it was met by strong approval as one can see in this Democratic Underground thread titled, "Mike Malloy: The Republican Party Needs to be Eliminated." The posts on that thread go way beyond the mere castigation of Republicans and enter into the realm of primitive blood lust. Perhaps you will find it disturbing to read some of the psychotic posts but you ignore them at your own peril:

We must for the sake of the Country and the World, bring them down, expose them, vote them out and prosecute them and if necessary jail them. They must go now and asap.

a strategic hamlet program for republicans. they call themselves an insurgency, we need to use counterinsurgent tactics.

Eliminated with extreme prejudice. By any means necessary.

Left-Wing Radio Host Mike Malloy: Republicans are 'Domestic Terrorists'

By Karen Hanna | February 12, 2009 | 15:14

A  A

On his February 10 show, left-wing radio host Mike Malloy ranted about Republicans who voted against the Obama stimulus package, going so far as to label them as "domestic terrorists" who "want the country to fail." Malloy also attacked Rush Limbaugh in his comments and charged that Limbaugh "is a bigger threat to this country than Osama bin Laden," practically calling for his arrest.

"They're worse than useless. These are terrorists. These are domestic terrorists. They want the country to fail, for God’s sake. They want exactly what anyone who attacked this country on September 11, 2001 wanted. The real internal terrorists are the Republicans, I mean, isn't that clear? Rush Limbaugh is a bigger threat to this country than Osama bin Laden. He's a bigger threat than anybody that the CIA can invent. He's a bigger threat than any terrorist that ever leveled its sights against the United States, Limbaugh is, so why isn't he arrested and sentenced for treason?

Leftist Radio Host Mike Malloy: GOP 'Needs To Be Executed' ASAP

By Tim Graham | February 02, 2009 | 17:44

A  A

You might expect the new and idealistic era of Obama to tame the savage breasts of left-wing talk radio, but that cannot be said of Mike Malloy, the former CNN employee. On January 29, discussing reports of a growing rate of suicides in the Marine Corps (up to 44 in 2008), Malloy unloaded this rant about the Bush legacy and its Republican enablers: "The Republican Party needs to be executed as quickly as possible." At least he was bipartisan enough to attack the Senate Democrats who voted to give that "sociopath" Bush the power to commit troops "anywhere!" (Click here for audio)

He was recalling the suicide of Jeffrey Lucey, captured by The Boston Globe in 2005.

GOP Palin Critics ‘Intellectual,’ Palin Backers ‘Knuckle-Draggers’?

By Matthew Balan | November 03, 2008 | 19:12

A  A

During a roundtable discussion on Monday’s Newsroom program with conservative talk show host Martha Zoller and her left-wing colleague Mike Malloy, CNN anchor Rick Sanchez strangely differentiated between "intellectual" conservatives who are "not so crazy" about Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin and social conservatives who "love" her. Sanchez then described Zoller as a "mix" of the two. Later in the segment, Malloy opined that Sarah Palin "brought out the crazy people. That's what the Republican base is. The Republican base are people who don't want the queers to get married. They don't want a woman to have a right to privacy. They want to do away with capital gains taxes, which has nothing whatsoever to do with their life. What Sarah Palin did was bring out the knuckle-draggers, the mouth-breathers..."

Hardball Gone Mad: Congresswoman Compared to Nazi for Insisting Media Cover Obama-Ayers Connection

By Tim Graham | October 21, 2008 | 06:24

A  A

On Friday night, Rep. Michele Bachmann of Minnesota appeared on Hardball and pounded away at Barack Obama’s associations with his long-time minister, Reverend Jeremiah Wright and bomber Bill Ayers, suggesting that the media should be investigating these associations with very anti-American voices, and that if John McCain had these associations, the media would be all over it. Chris Matthews couldn’t stand it. But he was nothing compared to others on the left – like the ones who started a Censure Bachmann website. Or raving left-wing talk show host Mike Malloy (the former CNN news writer!), who wildly associated the conservative Republican with Nazis, and death in general:

She represents a district in Minnesota, she's a Republican of course, and she’s a hatemonger. She’s the type of person that would have gladly rounded up the Jews in Germany and shipped them off to death camps. She’s the type of person who would have had no problem sending typhoid smeared blankets to Native American families awaiting deportation to reservations. She’s the type of person that I’m sure believes that the use of Agent Orange in Vietnam was good and the use of depleted uranium in Iraq served a purpose. This is an evil bitch from hell. I mean, just an absolute evil woman.

Fred Barnes 'Eats Children's Arms and Legs for Afternoon Snacks'?

By Tim Graham | February 02, 2008 | 08:10

A  A

Fred Barnes has a new article out in The Weekly Standard on the origins of the surge in Iraq, but controversy has erupted in left-wing circles over an aside: "Rather than a turning point, the events of June prompted a fleeting moment of optimism. The week before Camp David, Abu Musab al Zarqawi, the al Qaeda leader in Iraq, had been killed. (Cheney has a piece of the house where Zarqawi died on display at his residence.)"

On Wednesday night, mad-dog radio host Mike Malloy referred to the Standard article by "truly certifiable maniac" Fred Barnes. "This guy is beyond crazy," charged Malloy."I'm sure he eats children's arms and legs for afternoon snacks. This guy is insane." As he described the Barnes passage that that Cheney has a Zarqawi-house souvenir, Malloy added: "I'm surprised that Cheney doesn't have a piece of Zarqawi's body."

Left-Wing Radio Host: MLK Assassinated by U.S. Government

By Tim Graham | January 19, 2008 | 11:16

A  A

Some Martin Luther King birthday events happened this week (the real birthday is January 15), and the official ones take place Monday. But on the 14th, wacky leftist radio host Mike Malloy charged that King was murdered by the government (then headed by Lyndon Johnson):

"The argument has been made that one of the reasons that the US government assassinated Martin Luther King Jr. was because of his speech at Riverside Church in New York, I think it was Riverside Church, where he came out fully against the war in southeast Asia and fully against the policies that were being perpetuated against the American people in general. He left his little safe niche of, oh, well, he's a spokesman for the Negroes, and stepped outside that and started taking on greater issues and so the United States government said, well, it's time to get rid of this guy."

Air America Ugliness: Bush Family, including Laura (!), Are "Killers"

By Dave Pierre | September 05, 2005 | 12:27

A  A

Pardon my naiveté, but I was unaware that the venom, nastiness, and malice spewed so rampantly and callously on Air America.

On Air America's Mike Malloy show on Friday night, September 2, 2005 (link to entire show audio (3 hrs.)), Malloy said this about our First Lady, Laura Bush (audiotape on file) (emphasis mine):

"A murderer herself. Somebody getting killed, one of her former boyfriends, in a drunken stupor, being behind the wheel of a car ... So here's Laura Bush, another killer. This Bush family. In order to get in the Bush family, it's like the way it used to be in order to get into certain gangs in Chicago. You had to kill somebody. And once you killed somebody, you're part of the gang. Well, Laura, Laura Bush is apparently that way. She murdered somebody in a car wreck, so she's in the gang. She's part of the gang."
