Detroit Councilwoman Wants Her 'Bacon' From Obama

Where’s my bacon, Obama?  That's the attitude of Councilwoman JoAnn Watson, who said that in appreciation for Detroit having voted for the president, Obama should bail out the financially insolvent.

In fact, Watson says, “that’s what you do” when your friends help you out.  Alas, the country sees the incompetence and the entitlement that has ruined Detroit.  Just because you helped get the president re-elected, doesn’t mean you’re guaranteed loans to save your city.  In fact, if such a list existed, I’d bet that most of California’s municipalities are probably in front of you, Ms. Watson.

On Saturday, NewsBusters sister site Eyeblast.tv sent contributing editor Joe Schoffstall to see what exactly Al Sharpton’s protest rally was all about. While there, he was able to get an interview with NAACP President Ben Jealous regarding his thoughts on Glenn Beck's Restoring Honor rally.

Jealous claimed that those at Restoring Honor wouldn’t applaud Dr. King's historic 1963 "I Have a Dream" speech.

Beck aired that Eyeblast video and promptly destroyed Jealous's argument by playing clips of the crowd enthusiastically cheering mentions of the late civil rights leader.

Yesterday Eyeblast.tv went up to New York City to interview people about the proposed Ground Zero mosque. While there, we were able to interview a security guard outside of the mosque location who said he was a long-time friend and follower of the Ground Zero imam.
