HuffPo Slams Bill O'Reilly for 'Massive' Errors in Lincoln Book - And Cites All of Three

By Jack Coleman | November 16, 2011 | 17:22

The overly-caffeinated, partisan headline writers at Huffington Post are at it again, this time in response to "Killing Lincoln," a book on the Lincoln assassination co-written by Bill O'Reilly and Martin Dugard.

Here's how one of the headlines at HuffPo described the book --

Not to Worry, Anne Geddes Reassures HuffPo Readers, 'It Is OK to Photograph Newborns'

By Jack Coleman | October 27, 2010 | 05:57

Gee, I wasn't aware there was such anxiety about that.

Photographer and author Anne Geddes wrote at Huffington Post on Oct. 22 of being inspired to publish a book with photographs of babies and mothers after seeing an art exhibit of birds' nests in Australia.

Better Late Than Never: Rachel Maddow Taken to Task From Unlikely Quarter - The Huffington Post

By Jack Coleman | June 12, 2010 | 22:23

It's not often I see something on The Huffington Post I look forward to reading. Here's an exception.

In a post ungrammatically titled "Why Has the New York Times and Rachel Maddow Misled Us?", novelist and essayist Richard Greener on Thursday wrote a stinging rebuke of a Times' June 8 editorial and Maddow's coverage on her show the following day of the Supreme Court emergency order intervening in Arizona's political matching funds law.

The specifics of Greener's criticism of the Times and Maddow can be found by following this link to his post. (A video clip of the Maddow segment in question can be found here).

Greener laid it on thick when it came to Maddow, initially describing her as "always intelligent, smart and savvy and usually 100 percent credible" before going after her assertions about the court's action.

HuffPo Demands Rich Pay 'Fair Share' in Death Tax

By Anthony Kang | March 09, 2010 | 14:38

Imagine the audacity of wanting to dispose of your own money as you see fit? The idea is hateful to Bill Scher of the Huffington Post, who demanded in "Super Wealthy Deathly Afraid Estate Tax Would Reduce Deficit" on March 9 that the wealthy "pay their fair share."

Scher railed against the Bush tax cuts, and asserted that a 35-45 percent inheritance penalty (the estate tax or death tax) isn't punitive enough to stem the deficit crisis.

"But those massive tax breaks to the superwealthy don't quite have the same juice they used to. Especially, the estate tax - levied on the inheritances of the wealthiest heirs in America," Scher wrote. "This year, because of the Bush tax plan from his first term to gradually phase out the estate tax altogether, the estate tax is literally wiped off the books."

AP Shills for MoveOn, Daily Kos Campaign Against Fox News

By Noel Sheppard | July 29, 2007 | 10:38

On Saturday, NewsBusters reported an Associated Press story about the campaign by MoveOn.org and Daily Kos to get sponsors to pull their ads from Fox News.

According to Advertising Age magazine, "MoveOn has been pitching this story for weeks now," and has "been trying, with absolutely no success, to target Home Depot."

As a result, in AdAge's view, the AP bit on a story that nobody else was interested in covering until maybe this effort had some success.

As Ken Wheaton wrote Friday in an article entitled "MoveOn Gets Someone to Bite on Faux Fox Protest" (emphasis added throughout, h/t Glenn Reynolds):
