Left-wing Radio Host Fantasizes About Beheading of 'Tea Baggers'

By NB Staff | December 02, 2012 | 22:18

A  A

On his November 26 program, left-wing radio host Mike Malloy, whose sick rants we here at NewsBusters have noted from time to time, fantasized about how he wished there were an angel of death that would sweep down across the fruited plain and destroy "tea baggers," but which he meant Tea Party conservatives.

This was just one example in the latest batch of venom being spewed from left-wing radio hosts that our friend Brian Maloney of the Radio Equalizer blog discussed on the Nov. 28 edition of Hannity. You can watch the full segment below:

Video: 'Radio Equalizer' Brian Maloney Discusses Left-wing Radio Hate on 'Hannity'

By Ken Shepherd | November 16, 2012 | 18:37

A  A

Our good friend Brian Maloney of the Radio Equalizer blog appeared on Wednesday's edition of Hannity to discuss left-wing radio hosts and their hateful rhetoric about conservatives.

Even though their ratings are paltry compared to conservative talk radio, it's vitally important to shine a light on their hate and criticize it, Maloney argued. "Pay attention to what they're saying, because often times what you hear on these shows ends up on the smear left websites, etc." and motivates the left-wing base to show up on election day. Geraldo's Radio Show Goes National, Falsely Sold As 'Idealistic' -- and Popular

By Tim Graham | June 14, 2012 | 06:57

A  A

Despite conservative talk radio’s popularity and profitability, the radio syndicators still seem ashamed of it, trying for PR reasons to find a star who is more of a mugwump. Brian Maloney at Radio Equalizer is totally mystified by how Cumulus Media, which oversees ABC Radio's AM stations, is promoting the new and under-performing Geraldo Rivera radio show as a national phenomenon waiting to happen.

“What compelled Cumulus broadcast execs to give this notorious huckster a radio show at nearly 69 mystifies many,” Maloney insisted. “But what we do know is that the facts don't match his employer's wild claims. The truth: Geraldo repels radio listeners better than DEET could ever deter mosquitoes.”

Geraldo: You Shouldn't Become Parent Unless Licensed By Government

By Jack Coleman | January 09, 2012 | 20:55

A  A

Think your government has more than enough on its hands? Geraldo Rivera wants it to do so much more.

On his new WABC radio show Friday, Rivera cited an incident that day involving a Brooklyn mother suspected of killing her 3-year-old daughter, saying this (audio clips after page break) --

Ed Schultz Daintily Tip-Toes Around Mark Levin's Threat of Litigation for Libel

By Jack Coleman | January 18, 2011 | 18:43

A  A

A gift suggestion for liberal radio host and MSNBC action hero Ed Schultz's next birthday -- a copy of John F. Kennedy's "Profiles in Courage," preferrably illustrated. Maybe some of its narrative will rub off.

Schultz was unintentionally hilarious on his radio show Friday in describing conservative radio host and author Mark Levin's vow to sue "anybody who accuses me of inciting mass murder in Tucson." First, here's more context on what Levin said, as described by NewsBuster Noel Sheppard on Jan. 14, with audio --

Libtalkers Use Sarcastic 'Tim McVeigh' Remark to Smear Hannity

By Lachlan Markay | April 04, 2010 | 14:48

A  A
Facts, apparently, will not interfere with the left's quest to slander Sean Hannity. What's worse, many of the mistruths are being peddled by Hannity's cable news competition, adding financial gain to the cheap political incentives for delegitimizing him.
Even after facts debunked the bogus claim that Hannity had improperly used funds raised by the Freedom Alliance charity, MSNBC libtalker Ed Schultz parroted the claims as fact. Now, apparently accepting that the claims are total nonsense, Schultz and fellow talk radio hitman Mike Malloy have found another absurd charge to level at Hannity: he praised Oklahoma City bomber Tim McVeigh.
What actually happened? Glad you asked: Hannity conveyed the utter absurdity of the liberal media's portrayal of conservatives by sarcastically calling an audience at the Reagan Library "Tim McVeigh wannabes." (Audio and transcript below the fold - h/t Radio Equalizer.)

Ed Schultz Calls for 'Socialism' of Airwaves With Return of Censorship Doctrine

By Jack Coleman | March 25, 2010 | 10:29

A  A

... aka, the "Fairness Doctrine." And since the sole purpose of reviving this deservedly moribund government policy would be to silence conservative voices on radio, I avoid its Orwellian title.

On the same day President Obama signed his budget-busting health bill into law, Ed Schultz seized on the next opportunity for government control, one without a remote connection to reforming health care.

As described by Brian Maloney at The Radio Equalizer --

Feeling emboldened by the Democratic Party's success in imposing ObamaCare on the American public, lefties are already looking for the next hot issue to shove down our throats. For MSNBC libtalker Ed Schultz, it's the airwaves that should be subjected to a socialist government takeover.

Rush Limbaugh's Two Cents On Palin's Resignation

By Noel Sheppard | July 05, 2009 | 20:00

A  A

As conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh is currently on a golf vacation, his fans are going to have to wait to hear his extended analysis concerning Sarah Palin's decision to step down as Alaska's governor.

Fortunately, our good friend Brian Maloney was able to reach Rush, and has provided a brief audio link that is going to have to suffice until Limbaugh returns from the links.

Thanks, Brian.

Sen. Bingaman (D-N.M.): Fairness Doctrine Would Help Radio Reach 'Higher Calling'

By Ken Shepherd | October 23, 2008 | 10:54

A  A

In a stunning on-air admission of his desire to re-regulate radio and infringe on free speech, Obama supporter and New Mexico Sen. Jeff Bingaman (D) argued recently that the so-called Fairness Doctrine -- which would mandate equal time for opposing viewpoints on radio programming -- would elevate talk radio to a "higher calling." Bingaman lamented that radio without the "Fairness Doctrine" has become less "intelligent."

Radio Equalizer's Brian Maloney has more here. You can hear the audio by clicking the EyeBlast embed at the right.
