Greg Gutfeld: 'Jim Carrey Is the Most Pathetic Tool on the Face of the Earth'

By Noel Sheppard | March 26, 2013 | 10:10

A  A

As NewsBusters reported Monday, actor Jim Carrey released a satirical video at the comedy website Funny or Die which attacked gun owners and the late Charlton Heston with penis size jokes.

Later that day, Fox News's Greg Gutfeld and his co-hosts at The Five thoroughly trashed Carrey (video follows with LexisNexis transcript and absolutely no need for additional commentary):

Fox News's Beckel Issues Quasi-Apology for Rape Comments

By Ken Shepherd | February 20, 2013 | 19:36

A  A

Taken to task by numerous individuals on Twitter yesterday -- see Twitchy's excellent roundup here -- Fox News Channel The Five liberal co-host Bob Beckel today sought to explain, if not actually apologize for, his comments on the February 19  program in which the panel's token liberal both suggested campus rapes were rare incidents and that college co-eds might accidentally shoot someone who was not really a rapist:

Bob Beckel Mangles RNC Chairman's Name Into Vulgarity, Accuses Him of Lying

By Randy Hall | August 08, 2012 | 16:57

A  A

Tuesday was just another day for “The Five,” the boisterous discussion panel program on the Fox News Channel, until liberal pundit Bob Beckel sank to a new low by referring to the Republican National Chairman's name -- Reince Preibus -- with a vulgar word for a particular part of a woman's body.

The incident occurred when “Five” co-host Eric Bolling referred to an upcoming e-book entitled “Obama’s Last Stand” that's being produced by the Politico.com website and indicates President Obama intensely dislikes former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney.

Bob Beckel: 'If I Was Juan Williams I'd Wake Up Next To' Michelle Malkin 'With a Shotgun'

By Noel Sheppard | July 03, 2012 | 15:02

A  A

What is it about liberal media members making misogynistic comments towards conservative women?

Take for example Bob Beckel, the co-host of Fox News's The Five, who told FBN's Don Imus a few weeks ago, "If I was Juan [Williams] I'd wake up next to [Michelle Malkin] with a shotgun" (video follows with transcript and commentary):

By Noel Sheppard | June 19, 2012 | 00:35

A  A

Liberal Fox News political commentator Bob Beckel had a heated exchange with Daily Caller editor Tucker Carlson on Hannity Monday evening.

With the topic Neil Munro's interruption of President Obama Friday, Beckel said, "The idea that they gave the Daily Caller a White House pass is the craziest idea I've ever heard" (video follows with transcript and commentary):

Bob Beckel Tells Female Tea Partier On Live TV ‘You Don't Know What the F--k You're Talking About’

By Noel Sheppard | April 16, 2012 | 23:32

Fox News contributor and former Democratic strategist Bob Beckel directed an F-bomb at female Tea Party activist Jennifer Stefano during Monday’s Hannity.

The two were arguing through a commercial break, and Beckel apparently didn’t know they were back live when he made his indelicate remark (video follows with transcribed highlights and commentary):

Bob Beckel Wrestles With the Past Tense of 'Tweet' - Loses Badly

By Rusty Weiss | February 18, 2012 | 11:52

A  A

What's the past tense of tweet?

Well, apparently if you're Bob Beckel it's a word that Bill Maher likes to use when describing women that are more successful than he'll ever be.

Beckel left the cast and crew of The Five in near tears when he let loose a phrase he certainly didn't mean to, in discussing the matter of Pat Buchanan and his suspension from MSNBC.  When comparing the Buchanan situation to another recent suspension - Roland Martin at CNN - Beckel offered this analysis:

"The black dude got suspended from CNN for saying something on Tweeter or twitter, whatever he calls it, twats, twits....  I'm sorry".

Never mind the fact that had the man sitting directly to his left, Eric Bolling, ever started a sentence with the words 'The Black Dude', liberals would have immediately called for his firing. Beckel will slide on that, no doubt.

That reality aside, the crew tried their best to save the segment, but Beckel couldn't quite recover.

ABC, CBS and NBC Ignore Shocking Jump in Government Dependents

By Geoffrey Dickens | February 10, 2012 | 16:57

A  A

According to the Heritage Foundation Barack Obama’s policies, in just two years, have resulted in the number of Americans who rely on a federal program spiking by 23 percent to 67 million. Yet there was no mention of this grim figure on the Big Three network (ABC, CBS and NBC) evening or morning news programs. Since the study was released on Wednesday only Fox News and CNN have mentioned the increase in government dependents was the biggest two year jump since Jimmy Carter was president.  (video after the jump)

Greg Gutfeld: 'Go To Hell, Paul Krugman, You Bearded, Bitter Buffoon'

By Noel Sheppard | September 13, 2011 | 01:16

A  A

The outrage concerning New York Times columnist Paul Krugman's disgusting comments on the tenth anniversary of 9/11 came from all quarters of the political arena Monday.

Never one to mince words, Fox News's Greg Gutfeld on "The Five" said what many Americans were feeling about this liberal sociopath, "Go to hell, Paul Krugman, you bearded, bitter buffoon" (video follows with transcript and commentary):

Beckel to Geller: 'You’re a Woman, You Better Be Careful'

By Rusty Weiss | September 28, 2010 | 01:39

A  A

Eric Bolling's new show on the Fox Business Channel, Money Rocks, saw a significant display of fireworks this evening.  During a discussion of some already controversial statements made by Democratic strategist, Bob Beckel, a very heated exchange developed involving Beckel and Atlas Shrugs publisher, Pamela Geller.

The controversy started when Bolling played a clip of Beckel's previous appearance on the show in which he stated:

"Look, at some point, I know it's sensitive here in New York and probably New Jersey, but we have to get over 9/11."

What did he mean by ‘we have to get over 9/11'?  According to Beckel, this was simply an expression of frustration for a variety of things, such as extra security at airports and a few other minor inconveniences designed to catch "a bunch of non-existent terrorists."

The short list of ‘non-existent terrorists' since 9/11 that Mr. Beckel must be referring to, include the Madrid train bombers, Russian train bombers, Shoe Bomber, the Lackawanna Six, Fort Hood assassin, the Virginia ‘Jihad' Network, Christmas Day bomber, Fort Dix plotters, and the Times Square bomber.

Beckel might have been feeling the stress of trying to defend such a blatantly insensitive statement, by providing a blatantly inaccurate defense, as he experienced a misogynistic meltdown directed at Geller in the middle of the segment in which he said:

"You're a woman, you better be careful about saying who I carry water for."

Zuckerman, Beckel Reveal Previously Undisclosed Ties to Obama WH

By Lachlan Markay | July 13, 2010 | 14:13

A  A
The confluence between the Obama administration and the journalists who cover it can leave news consumers wondering if they're getting the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.

Two prominent media personalities -- liberal Fox News Channel commentator Bob Beckel and media mogul Mort Zuckerman, owner of the New York Daily News -- have recently let slip that they have worked closely with the Obama administration. Neither disclose this fact with regularity. Indeed, their recent admissions were revelatory.

Zuckerman, a self-described Obama supporter, has written at least one speech for the President. Beckel, who worked with David Axelrod during the campaign, is now an adviser in some capacity to the White House.

MRC's Brent Bozell Debates Bob Beckel on Hannity's Radio Show

By NB Staff | April 01, 2010 | 12:54

A  A
Embedded at right is NewsBusters publisher Brent Bozell's March 31 appearance on Sean Hannity's radio program. [audio MP3 for download here; click embed at right to listen to interview here]

Bozell debated Democratic strategist Bob Beckel about, among other things, charges of racism at the Tea Party rally held the day before the vote for final passage of ObamaCare:

BRENT BOZELL:  Three separate videos of [Rep.] John Lewis, three separate videos, and it isn't picked up. Andrew Breitbart has offered $10,000 to anyone who can confirm the use of the N-word. No one has come forward to say this. Only this one congressman has said this. Nobody's come forward [with evidence proving the charge].

Thomas and Beckel Bring 'Common Ground' to Undermining Demonization of Fox News

By Brent Baker | March 25, 2010 | 14:04

A  A
In the Thursday edition of their every other week “Common Ground” discussion for USA Today, Cal Thomas and Bob Beckel took up the liberal charge the Fox News Channel is out of bounds. Neither found any credence or efficacy in the efforts to discredit the channel. “The White House had been essentially stiff-arming Fox reporters in a very Nixonian way until someone at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue wised up,” the liberal Beckel noted in the March 25 back-and-forth titled “Crazy Like a Fox?” He observed:
In fact, the president sat down with Bret Baier last week to discuss the health care legislation, and though the interview was seen as testy, no one can say Baier did anything except ask tough questions on behalf of his viewers. By any definition, that's journalism. And the president reached millions he might not have otherwise. That's a problem?
The conservative Thomas pointed out: “The left criticizes Fox for being biased, but the other cable and broadcast networks are loaded with liberal reporters and commentators who have a history of political activism.” He named names:

FNC's Beckel: Obama Must Do With Jones What He Did With Wright -- Cut Off Relationship

By Noel Sheppard | September 05, 2009 | 10:39

A  A

"Obama has been accused during the campaign of associating with people who were radical, whether it be Bill Ayers or Reverend Wright. He has to do with Jones what he did with Wright, which is to cut his relationship off."

So said liberal Fox News contributor Bob Beckel about the growing controversy surrounding President Obama's "green jobs czar" Van Jones.

In this segment aired Friday evening during "Special Report," Beckel said a resignation is imminent (video embedded below the fold with full transcript):

O’Reilly Slams NYTimes and NBC News for 'Disgusting Display of Propaganda and Outright Lies'

By Brad Wilmouth | January 16, 2009 | 16:04

A  A

On Wednesday’s The O’Reilly Factor, during the show’s "Talking Points Memo," FNC host Bill O’Reilly slammed the New York Times and NBC News, presumably referring to MSNBC hosts like Keith Olbermann and Rachel Maddow, accusing them of having "damaged their own country in a disgusting display of propaganda and outright lies" by "convincing the world that the USA is a nation of torture, a country that sadistically inflicts pain on both the innocent and the guilty." O’Reilly further attacked the "insane call for fishing expeditions to find something that will lead to prosecuting the President and Vice President," and added that he "despises, despises those who, in the name of ideology, want to weaken the country, putting us all in danger," and charged that doing so would be "un-American."

O’Reilly then hosted a discussion with FNC military analyst retired Colonel David Hunt and, to argue the liberal point-of-view, FNC analyst Bob Beckel, and Hunt contended that he had used "coerced interrogation" in the past that had "saved guys' lives."

Flashback: Hillary's Daring Bosnia Mission w/ Sinbad Amuses Beckel

By Brad Wilmouth | March 25, 2008 | 22:44

A  A

[This was first posted on January 1, 2008] On the Tuesday, January 1 Fox and Friends, Democratic strategist and FNC contributor Bob Beckel found amusing Hillary Clinton's contention that her trip to Bosnia in 1996, which Clinton has been accused of exaggerating as a dangerous mission despite the presence of daughter Chelsea and comedian Sinbad on the plane as she mentioned the need for a "corkscrew" landing and running on the tarmac in case of sniper attack, was evidence of her foreign policy experience. Clinton's comments, which were a response to Barack Obama's charges that her foreign policy experience consisted only of talking and "having tea" with foreign dignitaries, evoked an amused and cynical reaction from the liberal Beckel: "It's almost too hard to say this straight. I mean, I've had a few corkscrew landings myself, but I was not, well, it had been a long night before I did it. I mean, I don't know what that gives you in terms of foreign policy experience except a bad case of heartburn. I probably would have thought of something else besides that. I wonder what Sinbad did during that landing. I wonder if she hid behind him or not. Dangerous that would probably be." (Transcript follows)
