Here is a commentary that is discussing the ravages of liberal bias in the media and cites the Drudge Report as being a major contributor to this bias.
I find this hard to understand myself. Granted, sometimes the headlines are sensationalized; I kind of attribute that to the art of hyperbole.
I have observed that in many instances the Drudge Report actually includes multiple sources from varied publications to give a full spectrum of information and bias.
Bottom line, I am not convinced that Drudge is biased and I will continue to review the Report of information along with other sites.

I never understand where ever
December 16, 2006 - 13:07 ET by AvatarI never understand where everyone sees bias at Drudge. He's a link-farm for news, of all sources. I think they're just mad because he broke the Clinton/Lewinsky affair.

WND is a link-farm also
December 23, 2006 - 00:53 ET by LionKingWorldNetDaily is also a link -farm. Both WND and Drudge also have original content...but I find it to be very objective. I believe Joseph Farah and Matt Drudge both consider themselves Libertarians...not Pubs.
Drudge is a liberal...
December 29, 2006 - 12:43 ET by Guy Arthur ThomasAnyone under the impression Drudge is a conservative or libertarian needs a little couch time. Drudge is a businessman first and a political liberal secondly. Drudge wants more than a choir audience so as a businessman he puts aside extreme liberal bias and compared to most well-known media personalities he seems tolerable. As a political liberal Drudge cannot completely hide his bias. It is obvious and it leans left. He is a worshipper of the Clown God called Global Warming, he is anti-Bush and to boot I could swear I heard he is dating Frank Rich (ever wonder why he gives so much positive press to homosexuals like Rosie?). Drudge gives a few interesting headlines but he has become quite boring and predictable and obviously leaning left.
If you claim to be a conservative, please don't disgrace yourself and conservatism by thinking and arguing like a liberal.

I am not there very much so I would question what stories exist concerning all of the past dem gay problems. How does Barney feel about Romney?
The URL is definitely a business, there are always 'light-hearted' as well as political stories, and he's satisfying libs with either exclusives on many stories/leaks which have not fully developed.
It's interesting that email is passed between he and Rush as well as the fact that Rush chose him for a sub.
How would being a lib, being gay affect his business?

Drudge
December 29, 2006 - 23:03 ET by Carl KolchakI remember last year about this time "Drudge" and "Newsmax" were running a story about a college student who claimed he was visited by Government agents for wanting a book on Mao. Turns out the entire story was a hoax. I remember checking "Drudge" and "Newsmax" to see if they would admit it was a hoax, but I never did see a followup from either of them. I could have missed their follow up saying the story they showed was a hoax, but I don't think I did.
Here is the original story, and then check at the top of the editor's note where they say it was a hoax.
